I think it's easier for DIY processing now than before, it is only time consuming (Im terms of waiting for availability).
If you encounter any problems or dissatisfaction during registration or capturing, just Dm the NIM official Twitter handle; they will get your applicant ID and give you direct contact to the PCO in your selected office for the registration.

If it's DIY, don't go by next week, wait till August 14 atleast, so as not waste time and money. Even someone who captured April 20(he paid 55k), was asked to come back in August, also DIY of Apr 25th was asked to come back in August too.

Got a text on Monday that my Passport is ready. Went there and got it ..Captured April 25th, Pick up for myself and my child yesterday July 27, ...

I just applied for Fresh passport online and I need to fast track the collection, The period available on the website for appointment is really far from now. Should I still book the appointment or visit the processing office to see an officer to fast track my capturing date.

I have applied to renew my passport since 27th of June. I took the DIY route considering the timeline I desired to follow. I am worried that uptil today (past a month) it is still in the verification of NIN stage. Although my appointment date is Sept. 8.

To my question now- Is there anything I need to do in order to avoid possibility of capturing on the said date?

Or better put, how do I know (get the assurance) that my NIN is verified?

I'm confused and getting worried here. Team DIY, captured 2nd June. It's still showing no record found when I track it! I don't stay where I captured. What should I do?
