If you have printed the one you got nothing to worry about show it to them. They will surely allow you in highest prepare to pay 42k. Don't just tell them you can't see your appointment online again

First don't believe pictures, because things may appear to be what it isn't for instance the size of room may appear bigger than it truly is. Also pictures do not pick up issues like moulds or electrical faults so always view the apartment in person before committing to any tenancy agreement

2. Few extra things to consider within the apartment, the type of heating, please go for gas central heating not electric, the bills are more when it is the latter

3. If you think you might drive at some point go for houses/accommodation that have parking even if you aren't buying a car immediately

4. Distance to your Uni or atleast the bus system should be priority too

5. Have a look at the schools around the area and check their Ofsted rating for your dependants

6. If you are more detailed you could check the crime rates too

Something I also did when I used to rent back then was to have a chat with the neighbors about the area,it was always quite useful but if you don't want to then Google map street view will give you an idea of what is in the area.

A friend in the US used his card over there to help pay for IHS and VISA fee, but for my son the VISA fee was charges / deducted twice.

He first used a card about 5 times, he keep declining and i get an email for all the declined payment. He then used another card which was successful @ first attempt.

Unknowingly to him, one of the 5 "failed attempts" (i think one of the last 2) was actually on "pending status" which was later debited (from his account detail on the same card) but i got "payment refused" email for all 5.

How do i go about raising this with UKVI to get one of the payment refunded ?

I have sent an email to complaints@homeoffice.gov.uk but no response for 2 days now.

Kindly suggest how best to approach this?

You can't just do a marriage certificate in the UK. They are married and already have a certificate from the mosque

Don't worry much, anything else to proof your Union(relationship) is accepted. (WhatsApp chat screenshot, hotel bills, flight ticket, family pictures) all are accepted. You can go and do marriage certificate when you get to UK.

Ensure you send an email saying you give the person authorisation to speak on your behalf, send to your Uni and your friend

Ask to be dialled in the conversation if possible

Did you copy the other heads and your VC as advised?

When sending your email please include the urgent mark, also put Urgent in your subject title


Actually this last paragraph works for those still waiting to hear from their respective Uni's

Yes you will be attended to with the payment of 42k. If you have uploaded your documents yourself you may ask them to be sure its in their database. If you chose assisted service you will pay 11k for the assistance and 42k for the appointment

I was hoping to cycle through the 3 locations until I found a closer date, unfortunately I can't change location.

There isn't a way to look at all 3locations before choosing unfortunately

I think you have a good date compared to the struggles people here have had with Ikeja and even VI

My advise, do it the same day as your dependents, also ensure you inform the TLS officer handling your biometrics you are a family so they can link your applications together.

Me and my MA’s application was processed at UKVI 01 while our children’s application was processed at New Delhi.

We didn’t receive NSF because the linking was done correctly and we supported our application with prayers.

I recommend you do this. It’s an opportunity to explain possible Grey areas on your application. For example, in my case, our son had a corrective heart repair surgery in India 7 years ago. We knew the ECO would see the Indian visa and entry stamps on me, my son and hubby’s passports so we took the Liberty to explain in brief his reason for being there and also let them know he’s in perfect health condition now.

And secondly, my first UK visit visa application in 2012 was refused because I didn’t include a letter explaining my travel itinerary and cost breakdown for the trip. Needless to say, I’ve always attached a letter to all my subsequent visa applications ever since and I thank God none has been refused.

Above all, pray for for favor with the ECO reviewing your application.

Yes, the best thing to do is for MA and other dependant to walk-in on the 9th with 42k each for 2 dependants.

However, while you are planning on this, keep searching for same day 9 for others as you might be lucky to reduce the walk-in charges.
