No we didn't abandon ojukwu, we just felt he shouldn't be contesting to become the president in Nigeria after what happened in the past. We showed our disappointment by not voting him. It was out of respect for his legacy not to be consumed in the Nigerian project he himself fought against. Many elders in Igbo land told ojukwu to jettison contesting for the presidency but he no gree. We simply voted for a man who we trusted to be a true a true nationalist and who will have our interest at heart. That man was Obasanjo a YORUBA man.
