Creeknigga: Hi Creeknigga, No, it is not too early to start. You mentioned that you do not have much financially, and that is the more reason you need to begin mapping out your way now. Moreover, don’t even let finance stop you. People who are in the worst financial situation are in Canada presently, hoping a young man such as you won’t give up. Let me share an experience with you, My Friend. About 7 years ago, I met a young man on this great forum. He just finished serving after attaining a first-class degree from ABU. This guy did not even have the money for an International Passport. I was moved to assist him with the International Passport fee when I found out he is an orphan. When he got the passport, it was dawn on me that it would be useless if he does not write GRE to apply for scholarships. He was a bright man and passionate at that. Come to think of it, I was sure he would pass the test. Thus, I eventually supported him with the GRE fee. I could recall vividly, it was Walspring that did that registration (Walspring was famous in the Travel Section 7 years ago – can’t tell if he is still on Niaraland). To cut the long story short, this young graduate passed the GRE, got a scholarship, and today, he is in the US. He did not have money for a traveling agent. He did everything himself as I would advise you to do the same. A man with no money for a passport found himself in the United States of America! How ironic? Now, My Friend, first complete your Bachelor’s degree and try to build your CGPA to first class. Then, apply to schools for admission. Once that phase is concluded, you will find your way. Have the most beautiful night, My Friend. 22 Likes |

Highly esteemed and appreciated Nairalanders, I'm back to fulfill my promise of sharing the documents I uploaded for my SP application. DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED NEW PORTAL - Letter of Acceptance "ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS" SECTION 1) LOE (6 pages; there were many zigzags to set straight. Las las it paid). Let me quickly add that all the argument on Nairaland about whether to write LOE or SOP is really trivial; it isn't worth it. What interests the VO isn't your title but the content. Some have argued that LOE is written if your visa had been refused and you want to reply. Therefore a first time applicant must write an SOP. I'm among those that argue that both are valid; you can use any as the subject of your letter to explain yourself and your intentions to the VO. I'm a FIRST TIME APPLICANT, and I boldly titled mine "LETTER OF EXPLANATION". I stated my purpose of studies therein as well as other things that could help the VO understand my general situation and every other confusing aspect of my application. 2) Academic documents (Certificates and transcripts - from WAEC to B.As.) 3) My Birth Certificate 4) My Cameroon Resident Card (still 5 yrs valid) 5) Bio-data and Stamped Pages of My Two Previous Passports 6) Police Clearance Certificate (Nigeria) 7) Police Clearance Certificate (Cameroon) Email from my Faculty Confirming Satisfaction of the Conditions of Admission (i.e request for original transcripts and degree certs) 9) Email from Faculty Waiving Standardized French Language Test (based on my previous university studies in the language) 10) Official Tuition and Fees Schedule 11) Proof of Application for Accommodation (on-campus - even though this later didn't workout). 12) Enrollment Receipt of an Online Course I was doing at the time of application POF SECTION (SPONSOR: US-BASED MATERNAL UNCLE) 1) Sponsor's Bank Statements (6 months - Nov to April, application was submitted in May) 2) Reference Letter from Sponsor's Bank 3) Sponsor's Business Registration Certificate 4) Certificate of Formation (of the said business) 5)Valuation of Sponsor's other business 5) Reference/Sponsorship Letter (from sponsor) 6) Affidavit of Sponsorship (from sponsor - NOTARIZED) 7) My Maternal Family Tree (to show relationship) My uOttawa Student Statement of Account (I deposited some money in the school account, an amount large enough to cover the first year full tuition. uOttawa requires no tuition deposit. I took the extra step because I wanted to exploit every legitimate avenue to convince the VO and boost my chances). 9) Student GIC program Confirmation Receipt (I purchased a GIC program with 10,999CAD to cement my POF). IF YOU MISSED MY TIMELINE WHEN I SHARED IT IN THE JUST CLOSED PART 21, BELOW IS THE SUMMARY: (FIRST TIME APPLICANT) - Application Submitted - MAY 11 - Biometrics - MAY 12 (Lagos), updated same day - Upfront medicals done - MAY 9 ( didn't submit the information sheet with the application) - Upfront medicals updated - JUNE 22 (after sending the information sheet via webforms and emails to Nairobi, Lagos, Abuja, and London around mid-June) - Eligibility Started same JUNE 22 - PPR and BVL - JULY 27 RECALL: No credit to me; GOD ALONE DID IT. To you PPR hopefuls, your own testimony is already here. It'll end in praises for all! 51 Likes |

Please requirements for upfront medical Please it’s urgent |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Thomsyne(m): 12:24am On Aug 03, 2022 |
Laborah: Pretty easy. Go to https://mymedical.iom.int/apps/omas/#_frmHome or https://www.qlifefamilyclinic.com/cim-terms-and-conditions. Follow the steps to book. Once you select a date, make payment at least 3 days before. Go there with your passport, appointment booking and payment receipt printout on that day. They will give you a slip there. After medicals are done, you can upload the slip via webform or/and emails. 2 Likes |

Good day great people, I've had my visa denied twice to study web development in Conestoga college ontario I was recently advised by an uncle to apply for a school in Manitoba or Saskatchewan provinces as these provinces gives PR to their immigrants quickly compared to Ontario. But I've not been able to get a post graduate diploma course in computer science in either of this two. The courses I'm seeing in Winnipeg and Manitoba are diploma courses, I wouldn't know if the VO will take Diploma courses in computer science very seriously I would have opted for masters, but my result seems to make it impossible as I have just 2.7cgpa in my applied degree. I'd appreciate our generous advise on what to do famz♂️♂️ |

bullstriker: thanks @ bullstriker for your response I tried applying a visit visa for our baby after indicating we are applying as a group but got stuck. There is no option for an applicant to invite his child or spouse on a visit visa, the only similar option see is for a temporary resident to do so. However, it requires you fill out your address and other contact details in Canada which she doesn't have as she is not yet a temporary resident with student permit. I further went ahead to try a study visa for baby but got stuck again where UCI number was required of the parent and she doesn't have that yet since we have not applied before. Can anyone help out , the application has already been delayed due to this. I called the representative at the University he advised my wife submit her application alone first and when she gets an approval , she then submits for her baby immediately and hopefully it will be granted before she travels. I hope some has a better option for us please. |

. Please those who applied as a family, how do we book a biometric appointment with VFS as a family. They sent the Biometric Collection Letter to the primary applicant only and the IRCC Number on the letter is just one. But when I was trying to book an appointment as a family of three, they were requesting for the IRCC Number of the other two people. I tried using the only one on the letter but it was showing an error message that the number has been used by the primary applicant and I should supply another one. Please, guide me as I don't want to guess and then make a mistake. |

Gigdraft:@Gigdraft Thank you so much sir for your prompt and detailed response. I'm working seriously towards making that first class sir as that is where my hope is (and of course in God). I would have waited until after graduation to ask this but let me ask now; When applying for admission do I seek for schools that offers scholarship or I should just apply to my preferred school and they will offer me scholarship? And is it advisable to register for GRE, TOEFL or IELTS now if I have the funds or wait till after graduation? Thank you once again. 1 Like |
