ignis:This is a narrow way of looking at issues. By the time you fire 3 sets of generals, you can be rest assured that incompetent lots who will rather play to the gallery will emerge. The solution if I may submit is modernizing our military. Our military is too outdated, with outdated systems, technologies and strategies. The colonial system which translated to the coup plotting culture of our military and its attendant corruption and cronyism has severely decimated our military. You can imagine a situation where we have our soldiers tracking bandits in the night without any form of air or satellite reconnaissance. And no night vision equipment whatsoever. An that is the Presidential Guards o!! Just imagine how it goes for our other formations. I doubt we can easily beat Chad or Benin Republic in warfare at this rate. We will just be bombarded with excuses why we can't. Note that with all this high scale insecurity going on, our smaller neighbours, Benin Republic, Chad and even Cameroon are largely unaffected |

Zabita8: They are getting ready to vote in another dunce that will be worse than Buhari because of tribe and religion. And tomorrow they will be the first on Nairaland to complain about hardship and insecurity. 1 Like

This is train that in the first instance has not being generating enough revenue to fund just its diesel consumption not to talk of paying loans. Trains that have plunged us in debt. Who are these terrorist in the bushes kidnapping people and threatening trains. Ohh are they the same Fulanis this government insist have a right to occupy any forest in the country? The same Fulani a sitting governor said have the right to carry Ak 47 to protect their cows? Same Fulani Igboho was hounded to to exile for and his properties destroyed? Same Fulani the militry flogs villagers for standing up to them? Na wah. 1 Like |

This government should be the most useless in the world Imagine building infrastructures that terrorists won't allow the people use, so how would they now be profitable? 1 Like |

Daguga:As usual, anytime mention connects the emergence of Islamic terrorism in Nigeria with far north's adoption of unconstitutional Islamic sharia criminal laws, the response from Taquiya people is usually: you don't know what you are saying. |

In short...Bandits are in full operation in Kogi already...so the southwest and eastern Nigeria shd brace up.. I guess Dr mailafia was right...of them having enough cells all round the country....and gives weight to the rumour that El-Rufai threatened GEJ of having surrounded the whole country with their people primed to cause attacks and mayhem shd GEJ refuse to hand over... It is now evident that the so-called "cattle routes" have been converted into networks for moving Fulani mercenaries and militia round the country and it's high time they're all abolished, else the south will never be rid of Fulani herdsmen/bandits trouble. There's the law abiding Fulani who's now mostly resident in Nigeria..... but there's also the imperialist minded Fulani who roams the country from north to south..also maybe herding cattle..but mainly just seeking what can be pilfered back to his base in niger..or mali |

I no talk am say borrowing billions for railway is not Nigeria problem at the moment.? Didn't I said it that "no security train usage is useless and a waste of resources"? Didn't I said it that one day the bandit will attack the train? I predicted all these long ago here comes the reality. In everything in life security first if that fail any other things will not work. |

I wonder how a sane government will think that anything will work without firstly tackling security. the primary duty of a government is to protect lives and properties. Any government that fails to do so has failed woefully. Simple |

Are you serious Suspending a project Worth billions of dollars in less than 2 years after completion. This is what the Yorubas wanted and buhari gave it to them. Two fingers in the air for apc and their president... Nigeria is truly on auto pilot...

ThankGodFriday: But far north refuse political restructuring of Nigeria democratically, far from the skewed and lopsided political structure and unitary government system, created by northern military dictators which favour Fulani that controls much of northern Nigeria. Buhari dumped the recommendations of the 2014 CONFAB in the cooler. 1 Like |

onuman: I never wanted to reply you but i think the time is now n i will await your response The insurgencies have been on since 2003 and your likes by then were also blaming 'Islamization agenda'. Till date, the insurgencies continued, sorry is 18yrs not enough to achieve your so called Islamization? But No, Jonathan's era was Islamisation as well as Buhari's era. Oga, your leaders have failed in all aspects of security intentionally because they are cashing out. And your people told you that Islam has to do with danger, right? You are still sleeping. Why is it now that they are wanting to impeach Buhari, why not before now but because the insecurities have cropped into Abuja whc will definitely threaten their own safety. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/168224-can-president-oritsejafor-admits-ownership-of-cash-stacked-jet-seized-in-south-africa.html You forgot that the CAN President in 2014 admitted ownership of the cash meant for arms stacked in his jet seized in South Africa? Better wake up from your slumber and face reality. |

Daguga: Between 1999-2001 was when political and religious leaders of the northern sharia states urinated on Nigeria's Constitution and adopted Sharia criminal laws. Insurgency in the form of Boko Haram quickly followed a few years after the adoption of sharia criminal justice system in the far north. Boko Haram says that it's fighting for a country to be governed with Sharia criminal laws. Learn history better. |

onuman: Your response is so weak compared to the facts i laid up there. You need to also attend directly to the facts i mentioned, no need beating about the bush. So for 21 years, they are yet to achieve it abi. You forgot that your leaders are the ones who have failed you. Are the Nigerian Army so weak that they cannot defeat Boko Haram for 21 years? Keep wasting your precious time and face reality. |
