hammer567:Stop talking like a chastened child Lekki port too is PPP The state government provided the land . Do not forget the state OWNS the land ., in return for a share of the business and the FG via its constitutional power to grant approval also has a share so both the FG are shareholders ,minor shareholders. Whilst the investor is the major shareholder of the business for the next 45 years Neither the FG nor LASG is putting in any cash You are bitter and cannot hide it Why do you folk argue so bitterly over matters concerning Yoruba .Why are you so bitter and envious? 14 Likes 1 Share |

The project is a joint venture between Integrated Logistics Services (INTELS) and the Nigerian Port Authority (NPA). https://constructionreviewonline.com/biggest-projects/badagry-deep-sea-port-africas-biggest-deep-sea-port-project-updates/ |

rajiedreez:Who told you there is no sea in southeast. Onitsha is a good location because of proximity to the sea. It could be dredged to accommodate ships. But FG won't because of primordial attachment. Time will Tell! |

PHIPEX: kudos to Lagos, but the city needs a good master plan. too much traffic due to lack of good master plan..... Government should also push for more development of other ports, that way, the country grow bigger.........but I don't see that happening under this woeful Buhari regime. |

This was Amaechi speaking earlier this year He stated that ports like, “Ibaka and Badagry are private seaports. I think Ibaka has gotten approval. We are fast-tracking that of Badagry so that they can also get their approval. By the time we leave office, all those ports will be approved,” he said. He maintain that the “only port that government may participate in its ownership is the Bonny seaport”. Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari visited Lekki seaport after inaurating Dangote fertilizer plant that is also located in Lekki, Lagos State https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2022/03/23/amaechi-badagry-seaport-to-commence-construction-before-may-2023/ 5 Likes |

PHIPEX:u think pdp will do this for lagos?? Buhari has to release funds owe by the pdp to Lagos state govt. That's the reason u need to be at the centre, if Lagos and govt at centre has been on same party, Lagos wud have move faster because the master planner was just been held by govt at centre so they are d one who developed it . All this were possible because they belong to d same party. Obj a yoruba man was against Lagos for his 8yrs and the master planner still rugged it 7 Likes 1 Share |

Omodua: There is no sea in the SE It is landlocked It cannot be dredged because of the environmental impact on downstream states like Delta and Bayelsa Why should such states agree to dredging instead of a port in their own states. Dredging is not just down to the FG the downstream states will have a say and it is not in their interest because of risks of flooding and destruction of the fishing livelihood of their natives It is a selfish idea and totally unnecessary 7 Likes 1 Share |
