Truth is we might not really know the exact reason those vans were gifted out. Since that BBC documentary, I've tried not to jump into attack when I see the government doing things that would otherwise be seen as strange. That said, one thing this Buhari government has failed spectacularly in is communicating their plans to the public. Lai Mohammed an appointee from Tinubu's ACN faction has failed in his role as minister of communication...or maybe recommending dunderheads is Tinubu's genius at work 3 Likes |

BlueRayDick:Amnesty for example, before the BBC documentary, I didn't see the sense in amnesty for repentant bandits but now I understand the need for some sort of amnesty/rehabilitation program. I'm still against amnesty for Boko Haram/ISWAP members, but my opposition to it is not as strong as it once was, open to seeing things from their end too. 1 Like |

Theflint1: Na wetin we discussed that day be this. Almost everyone for Zamfara don kill someone before whether in defence or attack. So how many murderers you wan prosecute. Real life is not always white and black. When you have to take some difficult decisions you will understand say e no easy Like the Syria crisis. Assad is abusing human right and committing genocide in Allepo. The same Assad is the main person standing against ISIS. So choose one human right abuser/genocidal Assad or ISIS wey dey burn people alive 1 Like |

Skimpledawg:Exactly. It is not like all the presidents before him were not doing it as part of foreign policy. I heard USA under Obama in 2014 also gave Nigeria Land cruisers. What was the point? If you ask me, na who I go ask?

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Skimpledawg(m): 10:23pm On Aug 03, 2022 |
Android17:Naso na. Nigeria is the 'USA' of Africa and should be doing Big Brother Africa by donating Land cruisers and doing security commentaries to aid her sister countries. More of it jhoo. If you ask me, I say more of it. |

I see nothing wrong in us donating some vehicles to Niger If Nigeria can receive aids from other countries, then we can also give aids to other countries too It's not that hard to understand 6 Likes |

monerozi5590: You don't need this guy. Buhari cannot just wake up and dash any country money without any strong reasons for it. Like one guy said, this govt is not good in disseminating information to the public - logical one - maybe due to the constant lies and denials they use to dish out which now make it hard for people to rationalise any of their actions. We also need to build strong relations with bordering countries for this insecurity to be combated effective. This land cruisers may not be for security or security related but sure, it does build trust and relationship with two countries battling insecurity. 6 Likes |

Why advice doesn't work. What you see outside looking in isn't what you see inside looking out. Why. Your emotions influence what you see inside looking out. You don't see the same thing. Those looking outside in aren't distorted by the emotional lens. Ain't the same thing. Paul Portesi |

reccy: "Buhari cannot just wake up and dash any country money without any strong reasons for it. " Like Buhari didn't gift Afghanistan $1m. That was for what strong reason if I may ask? Here u are not knowing any reasonable reason why the 1.4billion naira of tax payers' money was spent on a foreign country but u are willing to.just give Buhari the benefit of doubt like " I trust him, e no fit 4ckup "......WTF! Buhari that was asked in an interview why they are building the rail line to Niger and couldn't give a cogent reason other than we have brothers and sisters and relatives there who we can't cut off. Omo! Una wey dey defend this goverment ehn, I don't even know what to say to u. 3 Likes |
