After seeing my fourth Ghost update on Sunday, I called an IRCC agent on Monday. The agent informed me that all stages had been completed/passed on July 30, 2022, and a note is on my profile requesting the CIO to send the read for Visa email. Again, how much time would wait before I receive PPR?

In a matter of days depending on the VO. Congrats in advance.

Just in case anyone has been doing an online Canadian degree, diploma or certificate from Naija..... that's 15 points in the bag, it seems....

If you earned a Canadian degree, diploma or certificate and completed any part of your program of study or training between March 2020 and August 2022, you’re now eligible for Canadian educational credential points even if you completed the program entirely

*through distance learning;
*from outside Canada; or
*through part-time studies

Update your Express Entry profile to ensure you have the best possible chance to be invited to apply through Express Entry.

It isn't kindness that makes the system here work. It is the fear of the government. The fear of consequences that come when you fall on the wrong side of the law. The laws are designed to milk you dry with draconian fines if you offend and if you can't pay, or you're a serial repeat-offender, na prison straight. The government officials I've observed do not hate or love you, they feel your pain but are remorseless when it comes to punishing offenders. That's why the mantra here appears to be 'Ija wa, Ija osi... always guiding' which roughly translates to 'bro, err on the side of caution.'

Immortalregis:

Lagos/PH scenario:
He insults your mother. You 'hook' him on his shirt and a minor scuffle ensues. Passengers come and separate you guys. You go home with a story to tell.

Prof Baba, I'm with you on this one...nobody dey good. Na because of rule of law abroad people dey do normal.

Some may argue that having behaved properly for centuries, it is now ingrained in the pikin of abroad people, such that they are good, not because they fear the law, but based on the moral compass passed down through the ages. All join........na rule of law dey reset brain of pikin wey no wan follow compass.......Fines/sanctions and Canadian Kirikiri dey, for who no wan hear word.

Always, always, always guiding..... smiley cheesy grin

PS: no be only Lagos/PH......dem dey hook shirt for Owerri and Ibadan

Hello. Please is the IRCC page down. I got an email that I have a new message but I have not been able to login all day. I have cleared browsing data multiple times.
Is anyone experiencing something similar.

You’re excusing bas behaviour. Period.

You might be right anyways, but that's me for you broda! I find it EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to convict anyone on the basis of a one-sided story (i.e. not hearing the other party narrate his own side. the law calls it 'the right to fair hearing').

In instances like this, I begin to find ways of making a 'probable excuse', and a lot of "perhaps this..", "perhaps that..." etc. sweeps through my mind. For now, it remains a one sided story, and there are two sides to every coin.

How are we even sure the husby is fine where he is? Is it not possible the man is in coma somewhere in Nigeria or under kidnapper's den (God forbid), and we are all here making speculations that he has left his spouse behind, and traveled to Canada? grin

Pls guys, Schedule A form for spouse, is it the principal applicant or the spouse that would sign it?

If they asked for one Sch A for PA and another Sch A for spouse, I would guess PA signs his own Sch A and spouse signs hers. IRCC would usually write:

Aisha Bimpe Chidinma,
Schedule A (IMM5669), newly and completed bearing an original signature, leave no gaps

Adamu Bayo Chukwudi,
Schedule A (IMM5669), newly and completed bearing an original signature, leave no gaps

.....meaning 2 separate Sch As, oga fill and sign your own, madam complete and sign your own.

There are situations where you make excuses and situations where you don’t. The wife has said her husband travelled to Canada with her travel documents, why are you doubting her story by considering probabilities that have no logical leg to stand on?

Wanting to give benefit of doubt does not mean cooking up wild theories like this kidnapper story under the guise of “what if”. You don’t have to condemn him but you don’t have to disbelieve her and poke unfounded holes in her story either. You will be doing the very same thing you wish to avoid: judgment without information.

Must be AB. IS that the only province that has these automatic ticketing machines?

You or your friend should visit Montreal. Naija crase never reach anywhere. In St.John's, the police will stop you.

Calgary police mad gan. One weekend people in my WhatsApp group were just reporting speeding ticket, left right and centre. Some ticket wey you go get na straight licence suspension and they’ll tow your car and keep it for seven days.

There are consequences in this country and everybody maintain their lane because of that.

Did you read or you just want to type for the sake of?

If you want to get a passport as a Nigerian, you're either getting a fresh one or renewing on basis of expiration/loss/Theft so what exactly are you on about?

so when her COPR is kept on humanitarian grounds and the Husband claims not to have the passport still, what happens? she will affix the visa to her forehead and travel abi she'll go to passport office to say my husband has it but please give me new one.

TWoods:

That's lying. If the husband wanted to get back at her, he could easily send her passport to Canadian immigration and say she lied that her old passport was lost. She would then be completely screwed.

She can still keep her COPR on humanitarian grounds, she just has to report this fast enough.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Dimple10: 12:23pm On Aug 04, 2022
thank you
Charityjunkie:

It might be lying but it is her best bet to move forward without too much time wasted. Her husband can’t send her passport to immigration because it would incriminate him and support her statement that her passport was “lost/stolen”. He would have to explain what he was doing with her passport in the first place without her knowledge.

Won't a separate schedule A be fine for the spouse?

So for the principal applicant, he/she signs their own schedule A. When the spouse or child/dependent fill their own, they sign (or sign for the child)?

Apparently no one has answered. Though I am checking online to see if there is an answer

Don't conclude based on her story. Until it happens to you, you won't believe.

COPR is here finally
Dropped off Passports at DHL Lagos - 20 June
Arrived at Lagos VAC - 22 June
Dispatched to Accra VAC - 22 June
Received at Accra VAC - 28 June
Received at Accra Visa Office - 6 July
Decision Envelope Received at Lagos VAC - 29 July
Counterfoil Email - 29 July
Passport delivered to us - 2 August

There were no email updates on when the processed passports were sent back to Ghana VAC and from Ghana VAC to Lagos VAC.

The process took about 6 weeks. So if you are really in a hurry to travel, I suggest you try other VOs.
Hello. Congratulations on your PPR and COPR. Regarding the passport submission, was it a two-way courier? Like, did DHL pick up your docs for you?
Did you pay any fees to have it sent to Accra?
By VAC, I'm guessing it's same as VFS where biometrics gets done, right?
Thank you in anticipation.

Yes, I paid for a two-way courier. I also paid the transmission fee because my son didn’t do biometrics. I don’t think you have to pay the transmission fee if you don’t have a child and you are sending it through the same VAC that you did your biometrics. You will attach the slip that you were given during Biometrics to prove that you did your Biometrics there.

However, you can still pay if you can afford it, just to avoid delays if it turns out everyone is required to pay the fee. I know a single person that paid and it’s not like they refunded the money.

I just thought to share these links which may be helpful in understanding a little bit about the recent debates on 'divorce' or 'separation' after COPR:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/family-sponsorship/spouse-partner-children/track-update-application.html
https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/divorce-before-the-landing-and-after-copr.620230/page-3
https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/relationship-status-separated-after-receiving-copr.698056/

One major thing I gathered from the information provided by poster and the above threads is that the poster's husband may have committed an offense for NOTHING! He could have very well cancelled her sponsorship/ COPR without taking hold of her documents by simply informing IRCC that he no longer wishes for her to be accompanying spouse because of so and so, and it would have been within his rights IF he didn't claim spousal points. Now, I guess she doesn't have anything to lose by taking up the matter with authorities...and screw him up!

Hello people i’m in a bit of a dilemma and i need the advice of seniors…
my job were i worked in 2013-2015 (i was paid in cash.. i have a salary certificate to that effect .. i know it’s not necessary but i can provide photos of me from years ago wearing the company shirt at the time) .. i also have my employment letter and reference letter from my former Boss.

Now the problem is, i just saw in my marriage certificate dated 2014, in the space asked for Rank or profession, i erroneously filled in “Engineering” because that’s what i studied. i thought that’s what they meant. i have no idea how to explain this. Should i decline ITA? or is there a way out of this.

When i add the 2013-2015 work experience,y CRS is 539 and when i use my current work experience which is 1yr 6 months i’m on 514.
Should i decline and wait for when i’m called at 514? please advice.

That's not even my point. The point is realising that PAs can withdraw their spouse/dependents as non-accompanying (for whatever reason) up until they get PR, without resorting to stealing passports. At least that's what I deduced from the links and an eye opener for me. #Objective info

Make IRCC website & page 1 your friend as you prepare your documents and search NL extensively too. Hope your reference letter complies with IRCC requirements with regards to NOC.

About declining ITA....where is that koboko?
