You are from Abia which is the worst and most backward state in Nigeria. You should be ashamed and worried about your state for once. Na me fits you people. Getat

NwaforIgbo:

read ur comment and I was prompted to check ur moniker.. I was expecting to see names like "BastardSon", "Foolofthecentury" or maybe "IberibeDgreat" but to my amazement, I saw "1East". Now I wonder what motivated u to use this moniker if you will later go under it to spew this nonsense u spewed here. The greatness of Ndigbo lies in the unity of Igbos no matter what state they are from. States were created 30 Years ago, bu Ndigbo have been in existence for 100 years now.I a homogenous county like Nigeria, we need unity and sense of purpose to foster development and self-preservation. will excuse you if you are not Igbo but use this moniker to foster disunity. But if you are, I can only imagine the stench of pettiness that oozes out from udvise yourself bro, if someone talks about ur state not doing well in any regard, they are not saying it because they hat u or ur state, no, they are saying such because they want Alaigbo to have a good and livable state.TO be frank there is no state in SE that's worth bragging of. We are not the worst, but seriously we shouldn't be where we are now. States Like Anambra should be competing with Jouhanesburg, not even Lagos. We have people with money but they are not organized and united that's why we do things individually and that hasn't yielded any good results.I know after reading this you may want to rush to your keyboard to give me a "befitting reply". But I swear I won't entertain the back and forth. I've made a salient point and if it is not something u can understand then sorry I can't help u.

When reasonable Igbos are thinking of how to link Alaigbo with rails like Eastern Europe some of you are here talking nonsense.

In SE I can't be proud of any state for now. They are all performing poorly. Maybe u should do a google search of what a city should look like and see if any SE state have such. Lagos is not an ideal city yet but then it's very close to what u can call a city..

Does it not bother you guys that any investment that comes to Nigeria ends up in other states and we only attract few? if it doesn't it bothers me.

It does because we will all give birth to children and they will grow to become adult who will need to woek. How many corporate companies can employ them in SE? How many companies in SE can pay up to 100k junior role or fresh graduates?

It's high time we stop being silly and think of how to savage AlaIgbo from this situation. It's not as if we are poor thats my annoyance. The money is there, but because we are divided by petty politcal boundaries we haven't been able to mobilize Ndigbo for economic success and growth like Michael Opkara and Sam Mbakwe did.

Now we are here online disgracing ourselves in a public platform over non--essential things and two horrible states stocking their ego. Let me break it to u again, no SE state have a proper city. U can argue this all u want but this is a fact. Anambra is trying to come close but it's very far when it comes to infrastructure and livability. Let's not shy away from the truth.

Yes SE is better than most regions, but we can't be dragging last with Nigerian states. We can be better and greater.

When I look at Anambra I look at a state that has the potential of being the metropolitan area of SE as Lagos is to the West (ofcourse better). When I look at Imo I see a state that has the potential to be the tourism and entertainment hub of SE. When I see Enugu I see a Pretoria SE and even with more potential. When I look at Ebonyi I see the state that'll provide SE with industrial needs while Aba processes and manufactures and processes from these resources and Anioma too, some Igbos in Rivers too having their role to play for the development and growth of Alaigbo by being a marine power house.

I'm from Ndoki, in rivers state. It's shameful visiting this thread out of curiosity to find out how my brothers on the other Igbo states are faring only to find them hurling insult on themselves in the bid to stroke their ego. Its pathetic. More annoying is that what we use to boast and insult ourselves is not even something that's worth it.

What we just need is unity of purpose and brotherly love. Imagine a SE that's connected with rail. Imagine a SE wit uninterrupted power supply. Imagine a SE with 5 CBD with proper standard building. Imagine a SE with cities that have pipe-borne water, pliable roads and high speed internet connection.

There are about 4 major SEZ and Cities/large townships being developed in SE and they are;
-Lion Park, Enugu
-Awka Millinium City, Anambra
-Centinary City, Abakiliki
-Enyimba Economic City, Abia

What I expect us to do as Ndigbos is to rally round our who is who in the society to contribute and invest i these cities so that we would start the process of building a new future as soon as possible.

Also we need to rally round investors from SE and outside SE to invest in agriculture in SE to ensure food sufficiency. If after the war we still don't have food sufficiency then I wonder what we learnt after the war.

We need business, we need industrialization and we need peace and security which is the chief reason I am heavily against what Kanu did to SE because of his agitation. I as a person believe that you don't demand from the place of Weakness, if SE don't have food sufficiency and cities that make at least $10 billion yearly, we shouldn't be talking of any secession. It'll just be another suicide mission.

SEREDEC have started something, but like they lamented, they can't do it alone. There challenge so far is the individuality of Igbos.

But thak God they have been working with Barth Nnajia and Enyimba Economic City Developers to deliver the project. I believe Lion park and other projects in SE will be success story too.

We ca do this. We can be great again. We can build an Ala Igbo where our sons and daughters don't need to migrate to get jobs in other region and also get insulted and threatened as a result.

BIKO, NWANEM/NDE WEM, LET'S HOLD OUR BARREL. ANYTHING OUTSIDE THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE IGBO NATION AND ITS DEVELPMENT IS PREMORDIAL

Nnamdi kanu is presently already calling for peace but abakaliki people are the ones Igbo enemies are using to destroy igboland presently, though I will still blame kanu bcs he built the foundation for terrorism in igboland and we are suffering it today.developments suppose to be trooping into anambra already but insecurity is being imported through Simon ekpa to destroy anambra state.with the mind game this guy is playing to decieve some of our people, drastic measures need to be put in place to avoid these abakaliki people, bcs igbo enemies are presently sponsoring them to bring full blown terrorism to Igbo land to kill development and stop us from producing the next president of Nigeria.we all need to distance our self's from this abakaliki people and enlighten our people they are decieving bcs they are using kanus name to decieve our people.
To me if soludo can chase away all abakaliki people from anambra there will be peace that is the only option, bcs they ones kidnapping and killing people presently

I do not agree with this. U can't lump the blame on Ebonyi people. We all started it. Anambra people, Ebonyi people, etc. Saying Ebonyi people are the evil ones is one mindset we need to get rid of. U can't stereotype a state because of the mistake of a few less than 10/20 people.

We don't have any Igbo state as an enemy, but people. THat's my point. DOn't say people from Ebonyi STate are our enemies, instead, say "this man from Ebonyi state is our enemy".

Not true, don't join this bandwagon of stereotyping your fellow Igbos. Concerning insecurity, Igbos from all the southeast states are culpable...95% of arrested interviewed criminals in Anambra are indegenious, the same with Imo, Ebonyi, Enugu....
Yes the instrument of this violence and insecurity besieging the south east is from Ebonyi, however, we can't hastily generalize...

Stop deceiving yourself. 95% of criminals terrorising the SE in the name of ipob are mostly from Imo and Ebonyi. Imo and Ebonyi are the major migrants to Enugu and Anambra states.

90% of ipob terrorists and bandits caught in Anambra particular Onitsha are imo indigenes. This is easy to know because 2/3rd of imo population are living in Anambra where they ran to for greener pasture. You can never find any Anambran living anywhere near your cursed backward useless worthless shithole imo state. Na me fit una. It is a very reasonable and very fair comparison and if we are actually serious we would compare ourselves to Germany/Berlin, US/New York etc. Because Lagos and Abuja are not high enough standards for a group of ppl that are constantly moving to the west anyways.

This city, Owerri, consumes more than 98% of the development funds of
Imo state, but arrested development in rest of the state, due to primitive greed of its people, and Iberiberism governors since 2007.
Stop disturbing us with everyday same videos and photos of the same place.

No Anambra or Abia person can be so stuuupid to show same photos or videos of Awka or Umuahia everytime on a thread for rural and urban developments in Anambra or Abia state.

Though the roads shown in this clip are relatively ok, i find it grating that the authourities concerned find it difficult to regularly sweep roads in these highbrow areas of sand/sediment that settles over long periods, as well as regularly trim the grasses on the sides of the roads and the medians!

Also, there are some roads i see that are wide enough for trees to be planted on either side. Besides improving the aesthetics of the area and giving it an ambience of serenity, trees also serve as a refuge from the harsh sun and help mop up carbon-dioxide from the atmosphere! All this isn't rocket science!

The bosses in gov't departments responsible for all these travel to Dubai and London, and i'm sure they don't see unswept roads and overgrown grasses in these cities!

The nigerians police and military have been killing igbos for 30 years uninterrupted. If it is Abakiliki people who had the courage to stop them, then we love Abakiliki people for their courage. If your own people abstained from the fight, you are cowards.

I know you want to cover your own feelings of inferiority and weakness by trying to put somebody else down but as it stands, all of the communities in Igboland are showing who has liver and who doesn't. The kpim liver Anambra is showing, if it is the credit of Ebonyi people than hail to Ebonyi people. I know my own Orlu people have shown that they are 100% man.

If it is Ebonyi and Orlu people who drove herdsmen and checkpoints out of Igboland, I hail.

Also, don't bring your hatred into the Imo thread, we're not that type of people.

Ikengawo, ntoor. I knew that the fact the guy stated pained you so much. Anambra international airport is the biggest and best not just in igboland but Nigeria as a whole, with the exception of Lagos and Abuja airports.

Imo is yet to have an airport because that thing in imo state is a mere motorpark.

Fool, go and tell your supreme court governor to pay ordinary salary.

Ofodirinwa:

The airport that is the 3rd smallest in the region?Especially when the biggest was built at the same time.ust say you like the airport brol

Ikengawo, why are you always bitter and envious. Why can't you for once focus on your backward Imo state. With all the nonsense hype you ediots are doing in Imo thread with almost nothing to show for all the noise, still yet you cannot find anyone from Anambra commenting there. Yes, Anambra is a premium state. Yes, Anambra is the most strategic and most important state in Igboland. Anambra leads in events. fashion show, education, industry, commerce, etc. You are talking of events when you don't even have ICC in Imo state, whereas Anambra has the biggest and best ICC in Nigeria. This is a fact you must continue to live with. Anambra is not your mate.

Ofodirinwa:
Which one is igbo premium state lol. Between Abia and Anambra, who is leading in fashion ans between Imo and Anambra who is leading in fashion shows and events? Can your state be written about without fake attempts to put down others nwanne?

Pictures: Awka international convention centre (for the biggest and premium events in SE and Nigeria at large)

Ikengawo just shut up your dirty mouth. You mentioned ESN, everyone knows that there is nothing like ESN in Anambra. ESN, IPOB, MASSOB, etc, al have its headquaters in Imo and Abia state.

How dare you call Anambra the weak link, is there anything your Imo state is doing better than Anambra. Is it political stability? Anambra has maintained one party for almost 20yrs. Is it culture and language? Anambra has the most elegant culture and language. Is it elites? Without Anambra there is nothing like Igbo.

If there's any weak link in igboland it is Imo state where ediots and incompetent illiterates have been ruling the state since 1999, from Udenwa, Ohakim, Okorocha and now Uzodinma.

Look at how silly and petty you have become because of envy and bitter. Everyone knows that Anambra is the flagship and premium state in Igboland. If it pains you too much then get out, because you cannot dictate what we post here.

Ofodirinwa:

Nwanne, it is becoming a serious issue and this is not who we are as a people.
If you notice, all of the anti ESN propaganda has been aimed at Anambra. There is a deliberate attempt by people who know more than you to put a wedge between Anambra ppl and the rest of the SE and the people doing it know that if you used a sweet tongue, the intention will work because Ndiigbo and their self esteem problems. They have identified Anambra as a weak link and if you know the geographical trap that is the SE and how it is designed, you will know why it is important to target Ndi Anambra. Nigerians struggled in the war to break through what is now called Anambra. They don't want to struggle like that again. I know many ppl on here as small in their thinking but I have seen you posts in the past and know you can process what I'm saying well. So nonsense like that has nothing to do with who we are as Ndiigbo. Anyi enweghi eze. Gini bu premium state. I si na nke gi bu premium, gwa anyi nke ndi ozo bu?

Ikengawo the only reason you have been crying since yesterday on this thread because you read somewhere in a post here where Anambra is regarded as the premium igbo state. Lemme make it clear to you, it doesn't matter how much you cry here, it won't change the fact that Anambra is the premium igbo state.

You always dragging other state to cover up your failed imo state, but you forgot that Anambra is the only state in Nigeria that runs three city-state. There's no such thing anywhere in SE.

If people are yabbing Aba, find out why? Ofcourse we all know why. Aba and Owerri are villages compare to Onitsha, that's why imo indigenes are constantly trooping to Onitsha for greener pasture. Awka on the other hand is the fastest growing city in Nigeria aside the FCT.

You talked about villages. In the whole of igboland, Anambra has the best countryside, roads, electricity, Portable drinking water are the hallmark of rural areas in Anambra, you cannot say the same in most other rural areas in the region particularly imo state.

Anambra leads in overall development in igboland, both in infrastructure, education, commerce, industry, human capital, etc. That's why Anambra is a premium state.

You can never change the dictate what direction this thread must go. You have failed already.

Ikengawo aka Ofodirinwa, Anambra is the PREMIUM STATE OF IGBOLAND. Let this sink in your subconsciousness.

Ofodirinwa:

The population difference between Imo and Anambra is negligible
Abia is more economically productive than Anambra
People yab Aba all the time but Onitsha is a neighborhood compared to Aba.
How do you go to Enugu, then go to Awka and decide the latter is the premium one?
If Onitsha is not the premium commercial city of Igbos (it's not), and Awka is not the premier capital, and the villages are in the same condition as villages everywhere else, what is the need for constantly having to say someone is low to say you are high? f you want to be 100% honest I think these deficits are the source of this fake online bragging. All Igbos are very proud of Anambra state and Anambra people. Anambra has produced Ojukwu, Azikiwe, Achebe etc. Anyone can make any statement they want, but If I retort with facts, that is also allowed. And I will continue to do so because I can see an unfortunate mentality growing among young people
