Yes. And to be honest, I saw nothing wrong in you always coming out in defence of Aina only that I knew it would be you almost everytime and wanted to point that out for laughs. You are also a strong believer in Awoniyi and I respect that very much. I too rate Awo but ofcos I understand your relationship with him makes yours more passionate. You see, most times, one must not hold a relationship with a player before he can speak up for him. You see this Kelechi Nwakali lad.... I don't even know him personally. Ofcos some will find it hard to believe. Same goes for Iheanacho who I defended all those years. I don't know him personally. Ndidi? Well, perhaps my recent breakdown of Ndidi vs Mikel discussions will convince some now I also don't know Ndidi but then what if I do? Uncle Kog, you know already that Victor Osimhen and I share a cordial relationship. I mean, that much is known now by most in here. Edi287 made sure of it. LOL But it is NOT at all related to why I say what I say about Osimhen. My opinions and views on the lad have been strongly registered here long before we even began talking. Our relationship began only in December 2019 on Christmas day. It was like some Christmas surprise. The lad was still at Lille OSC. Now... what you say is very true. A player won't be rated by everyone. Charles doesn't rate Nwakali and for good reasons too. I mean, it is true Nwakali hasn't impressed for the better part, all career-long. Dude is still struggling to establish himself in the beautiful game. BUT what I don't appreciate is the hypocritical angle of shutting down the lad's efforts to rise again or downplaying his periods of good shine while accommodating the mediocrity of some other lads who are also struggling and haven't impressed as much too. Nwakali hasn't done enough career-wise but we all saw his fine showings at the Last Afcon in a department still crying out for control and creative nous since Mikel left the scene. He impressed in the middle if we are all being bloody honest with ourselves. We gotta call it as it is no matter how much we like or hate a player because in the end, it is the Truth that will help our Super Eagles rise to better heights. And finally @Bolded, No, Egbon, Peseiro can't just call him up simply because the SE platform is better than the Ponferradina platform. If Nwakali must get another Super Eagles chance, he must first show why at Ponferradina. It gotta be earned. It's true he has what our midfield needs but he gotta show just how much he still got it at his new club. Right now, Iwobi is the first choice answer to our deeplying midfield conundrum. Nwakali has to show why we should consider him as the second choice midfield Orchestrator or an option that can step in when Iwobi isn't available in that deeplying role. So, there's so much work to do. Kog45: 1 Like 1 Share |

JayromWrites:I said the same few weeks ago to Andrew who is a Barca fan but he turned it as if I beefing Barca as a team Imagine until now they are yet to pay the sign on fee agreed with Leeds for raphinha? Bringing in expensive players while forcing the ones already in the club to forfeit their deferred wages and leave Read yesterday that they are forcing braitwait to terminate his contract and leave, the dannish international already has an offer from a Saudi club who are ready to pay him thrice of what he earns at Barca but he told Barca he will only leave when they pay him wages in his 2 years existing contract Depay is also demanding same You already hv aubameyang who performed well last season why go for an expensive aging player lewandoski again? Even if they want a good support for the Gabonese player why not invest that 45-50m euros spent on lewandoski to bring in a young striker who you can still resell and make good profit in the nearest future Too bad

Victor Boniface #7 VB7 Remember his new side beat Rangers 2-0 in the 1st leg of the UCL Qualifying Series Round 3. 2nd leg comes up on Tuesday but Boniface still cannot play coz he is cup-tied. Featured for Bodø already in the UCL Qualifiers. *Can only play if Royal Union St.Gilloise reach the Group stage of the UCL which will happen ONLY after Round 4 if they get past Rangers in Round 3. 3 Likes 1 Share

JayromWrites: The funny thing is that they still owe over 120m to various clubs for transfer fees dating as far back as 2018.. . Maybe they should just sell the club to an Arab..those Arabs have mad money...That's why City and PSG with their big money spendings can not go broke... 1 Like |

It has which is why one can play for another side in the KOs even if he repped a different side in the group stage But there's one twist as it still applies if you have played for one side in one phase of the UCL and wanna rep another side in the same phase. Example.... can't play for two teams in the Qualifying rounds. Also can't play for two teams in the same group phase. Also can't be playing for two teams in same KO rounds-route. charlesemeka85: Let's watch how it will unfold. I'm sure we've not seen the end of it. Leeds boss is promising vawulence, players are demanding their full payments.. other clubs will soon start fuming. You can't be owing people and splashing 50million for a top player with no resale value. 70 million for a player that plays same position as Dembele and then renewing Dembouz deal. And also claiming that they will bring Messi back. Like what are they smoking over there? 2 Likes |

forgiveness: It's a lose- lose situation for us(Nigeria) though. If he does well at Chelsea and break out to be a star, he's never playing for us and will play for England, with the FA rushing to tie him down. But if he doesn't do well according to the hype , well we may end up getting him at may be age 25 and above when there's no more hope of playing for England, meaning that we'll be getting a washed up average player who will never be world class and won't improve our team like we hope. This is always my thoughts about every foreign born player we get. Most of them are no different from our home grown guys, quality wise , only difference is just exposure. Our best bet of having world class players is intensifying the programs that gave us above average players like Ndidi and Osimhen. And along the line we might have 2-3 world class among them as well as a lot of above average players to support. But after 2015, the NFF has slowed down with the age group, now the players we are producing can't even get into decent European team or leagues , let alone developing into above average players 5 Likes 1 Share |
