This akin to Moi in 1992 - because Moi wanted to evict a million of immigrants from Rift valley so they wont vote. So what do you do - spark tribal clashes - have a million people killed, raped, injured, properties burnt - and they are displaced. Coming voting day - you have reduced the opponent voting block.

This was one of Uhuru card - apart from many others.

US gov issued advisory saying Kisumu(Raila home) was likely place for violence not rift valley - and that killed their hate propaganda and attempt to incite violence.

What has helped is that Kikuyu community have refused to be pawns of Uhuru Kenyatta and have totally rejected him. The message for Uhuru and his elite has been simple....if there is any war you want....take your kids to the frontline.

This is why I think we will have peace.

So far so good - they failed. I have just seen kenya top security official talking like rained on cats. I hope they called out rest of their rigging and sabotage plans.

Personally I dont want war. In 2007 - I spent all the time escaping and hidding from being conscripted to fight in that violence. They were people moving house to house checking to see if anybody had remained at home who should be out fighting - if you ageset was active warrior group. Eventually I was evacuated by my employer after they charted a flight. Learn from 2007 and never allow yourself to be caught on the offside.

Sakaja will be another Sonko. The degree fiasco will follow him. Central gov twill have him removed within a year. Kalenjins are nowhere else in significant numbers except their homeland. But instead of focusing with their agenda, that guerrilla militia went waay ahead and start gang raping, killing, and stealing from their own. This group had access to a variety of weapons uncommon for criminal groups in Kenya including machine guns, hand grenades and rocket-propelled grenades along with the usual AK-47s and G3 rifles which were donated by former police officers. One reason why it took few second by KDF to wipe all the guerilla miliatia out, was because they had access to jungle combat fatigues commonly seen with the Kenya Police which made it hard for KDF to differentiate them from police.


SLDF was considered well trained due to a number of former police and military officers having been linked in secretly training SLDF fighters in the Mount Elgon forests.

That should not be the reason for infiltrating ego into Kalenjins. One thing for sure is that they used to be pro- war, now they aren't. Long story short. Sabaot are just mere 100K people. Just one const, not even fully legit kalenjin, like Nandi-Kipsigis, but still kick GSU and APs until they called KDF. Those very very small group of kalenjin.

Pokot seem KDF has given up. British gave up on Pokot. Kenyatta and Moi launched countless operations. Kibaki and Uhuru. They gave up.

Kalenjin are dogs of war. They are like Tigrayans, Somalians, Afganis, Nuers, etc.

Also by our nature - after we have gone through the torture of circumscion and military training - we become reserved, manly and do our things silently. We are also very insular and we only mostly keep company of our own. We are not going to make friends with you unless there is no kalenjin near us.

We are many - just silently - going through our life - which is why most Kenyans will rather vote Ruto a kalenjin - with our humility - than you proud and loud Luos.

Pastoralist have inbred disdain for manual labour or working hard or doing back breaking work. Kalenjin before British only job was to go to war, to raid, to steal cattle, from when he was 16-18yrs until he retires in 35yrs - and marries.

Kalenjin only way to make money or grow wealth was to become a cattle raider or thief - Kalenjin were one most accomplished cattle raiders - walking 300kms to steal cattle.

There was no other legitimate way to make money. British tried to convert Kalenjin to farming and eventually suceeded. They also took cattle raiding into athletics competition - and Kalenjin dominate althetics.

This disdain for manual labour you'll see in Arabs, Somalis, Northern Africa tribes that keep a lot of cattle. It's part of the cattle complex. You can say they are lazy or they just hate manual work seeing it as below their dignity.

This is why British imported Luos, Luhyas, Kikuyus and others to rift valley to work on their farms.

Therefore dont expect Kalenjin to work his arse off. If they cannot find a decent job that doesnt involve a lot of sweating - they will go back and drink alcohol in their village.
