Yes, but it usually gives some problems. Wooden counter tops suffer from the effects of water spillage from foods, drinks and dishes, and from splashes from the kitchen sink. Overtime, the wood will.statt to decay and fail at some points.

I note that you mentioned if the wood is tiled at the top, this will prolong the life of the wooden counter top, but concrete still beats it. This is not to say I haven't constructed wooden counter tops. And I have had instances where I even assembled imported wooden kitchen cabinets before.

Congratulations, the area is still appreciating. I wish I had money to buy last year at N5.5m for 50 × 100 on the tarred road.

Right now it's so hard to even get 100*100

90percent of lands there have been sold off by the original buyers . What one could easily get is 100*50 in few years from now I see land getting up to #50M the appreciation is so massive

Lands were still sold for 3Million when the area wasn't tarred the whole was a bush. Then 2019 when FG(NDDC) tarred the area boom that brought development to that place

So the road network brought steep rise in the prices of lands there then they also 33line (24hours supply of light) the guys on the off tarred road

We plan to return to this site and continue the first floor for this shop, more pictures later.

Forming and raising the walls of the upper floor on top of the shops............

I guess this upper floor on the shops wasn't part of the initial plan. I like the good space management. What's going to be up there?

It wasn't the plan initially, but when I saw that we can utilize that space to build both a security man house and an office space to be rented out to either a lawyer or dry cleaner etc, I decided to do a decking on this space instead of the downstairs we planned before. It will surely need additional money than the initial budget, but we will beg the owner of the house to bear with us.

Updates from our works from this site, we have bought a new gate, mounted it and continued with the upper floor of the shops and security man house.
