This is one thing many japa disciples always say. For me, anyone can make it from anywhere. Tobi Amusa grew up in Ijebu Ode and only went abroad in 2016. Many Nigerians grew up abroad and are nowhere to be found. Buju grew up in lagos. Now is featuring too UK artists. Pay stack founders grew and schooled here. Now reaching for a billion dollars. Tens grew up here. Now she does soundtracks for Marvel Studios. Fire boy grew up in Nigeria schooled in Ife. Now features Ed Sheehan like it’s nothing. Point is, anyone can make it anywhere. Many Nigerians abroad are unsuccessful and live non remarkable lives, battling loans and bad marriages. Not that Nigeria is all roses but sometimes, the difficulty is even an extra motivation in all. Final summary, the future of your child is based on how the child and you the parent develop his or her skills and talents. They will have a future no matter where they grew up. Happy Sunday. 9 Likes |

Aderewah:Nigeria it is one thing to make it in Nigeria and another thing to sustain it. You can legitimately become a millionaire over night in Nigeria and also can become poor in Nigeria at the twinkle of an eye. Living in Nigeria is more of gambling you future and that of your children. Nigeria is filled with instabilities. 2 Likes |

nabiz: Wrong mentality. Many people have been rich and maintaining it. There’s no special gambling in Nigeria compared to many other countries. In America you’re one medical emergency from having your entire savings wiped out. Mass shooter can claim you at any time. Student loans take decades to pay off. You can lose your house if you miss mortgage payments. A divorce can leave you homeless. There are many instabilities living in America too. So you’re just saying things out of your personal beliefs. 3 Likes |

Aderewah: well said! sadly, many people would foolishly believe that they will only be successful when they leave Nigeria... and only after experiencing the "possible" hardship of the west, will they realize that they were wrong. 3 Likes |

If Tinubu was incompetent like the Obidient's always say, he wouldn't have emerged as the APC presidential flag bearer. Think about it my fellow youths. The so called Obidient's and Peter Obi has nothing to offer this great Country except for propaganda and thuggery. Even falseprophet1 can testify to what I'm saying. Tinubu single handedly made Lagos state what it is today and he's willing to take Nigeria to greater heights from good roads, power, housing, refineries, basic amenities, just to mention a few. My fellow youths and elders, don't be deceived by the sweet and empty promises of Peter Obi. My fellow youths both young and old, let's give Tinubu a chance to make this country better. Vote Wisely Vote Bola Ahmed Tinubu 1 Like |

Aderewah: We have to judge based using the average. On average, Nigerians in Nigeria have become poorer than their overseas counterparts. Their life expectancies rates have dwindled (not stagnated o) than those in the abroad. So, because PayStack founders grew up in Nigeria does not negate that there are very successful Nigerians working in tech firms abroad - the same firms many Nigerians in Nigeria wish, hope and plan to work with. Also, we have way more Nigerians in the abroad sending money home than the other way round. Yet again, we have many Nigerians in Nigeria wishing they relocate to the abroad rather than the other way round. BTW, if Nigeria was so good, why do your politicians send their kids to study abroad, live abroad and take up citizenships in foreign countries? How many Singaporean politicians' children take up American citizenship? If the elites of a particular society do not believe in the future of that society, judging on where they birth their children, why should ordinary Nigerians do the same? ' Remember, everything is based on averages. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Aderewah: Yet on average, there are more rich people in the US than in Nigeria. Also, the average American lives longer than his Nigerian counterpart. On average, life is better for the regular Nigerian living in the US than her counterpart in Nigeria. If it were not the case, there would be more Nigerian-Americans itching to relocate to Nigeria than the other way round. But who wishes his child to let go of the University of Georgia to study at FUTO while at the same time spending six months at home? 1 Like 1 Share |

Listen to agbado guzzlers at your own peril, nothing intelligent or sensible comes out of their heads. Tinubuadvocate who jumps from thread to thread constituting nuisance still came here a few weeks back to make japa enquiries for him and his family, if you have sense and have the money, I'll advise you to do the same because it'll take at least fifty years to reissue the mess of the last seven years alone |
