Do a letter of explanation or gift deed detailing how the 5M came into your account and its purpose.
For the 15M, if your course is for 2 years, do $20K CAD + your total school fees. If it's 1 year, do $10k CAD + your school fees.

Then make sure there is still sufficient change left in the account cos I doubt a VO will believe that a company will use all/over half of its closing balance to sponsor you.

Is it okay to use or must it be a business account?

Yes, you can submit your mum's personal account. However, there might be a need for some explanations in your SOP. This is because the VO might seek answers regarding her source of funds and her degree of financial establishment to fund your education throughout your stay.

It would have been more pronounced if her personal account statement shows monthly pay - you know, in form of salary. Notwithstanding, I would advise you to submit the personal statement regardless.

Having secured admission into the University of Calgary for a research in the medical field, I may have my 2 cents to drop. The process is competitive with 10% acceptance rate but however he should look at considering a thesis based program and work towards being in communication with a prospective supervisor ( https://science.ucalgary.ca/mathematics-statistics/future-students/graduate/programs/statistics-msc) Securing one, having a great research proposal coupled with his CGPA will make him stand a good chance in securing an admission. The thesis based programs are fully funded but that doesn't mean you won't have to show the fund for your entire stay during your visa processes regardless. IT IS POSSIBLE!! HE CAN DO IT, I WISH HIM ALL THE BEST!!!

I need you advice and guidance. I am a B.Sc holder in Computer Science (2.1), currently work as a network administrator and currently have an 2 offers at Sheridan College Canada. The first choice is Software development and Network engineering (3 yrs ontario advanced diploma) while the second one is Information technology infrastructure and services (2 yrs ontario college diploma). I intend to go for this courses to acquire skills in needed to be a professional in the IT field sue to the fact that the couses are compulsory work-integrated leaning and since it aligns with my educational background. Recently i learnt that study permit can be refused based on wrong choice of program, I am afraid of beign refused of my permit if i go ahead to apply with the program at hand. Kindly advise, what can i do?

The status for the review states (we are checking whether you meet the Eligibility requirements) while that of the sent docs says (we are reviewing the additional docs you provided). I will wait until the end of the week but school resumes on 29th and I'm yet to get my flight booked. 12weeks already.Pheeew!

I wouldn't advise you against submitting an additional webform, considering the nearness of your enrollment deadline. Besides, IRCC will not penalize you for such an action.

"Hi ...

I have been in contact with IRCC this afternoon about the statuses of your families applications and I do have some updates. All three applications are still within standard processing times.

Your application has been received and is being processed in the Nairobi Visa Office. You have passed your Criminality Assessment, no other Assessments have been started yet. There are no out standing documents on file.

Your husband’s application has also been received and is processing in the Nairobi Office. He passed his criminality as well. No other assessments have been started. There are no out standing documents.

Your daughter’s application was also received and is processing in the Nairobi Office. Her Criminality Assessment is in progress and no other assessments have been started. There are no out standing documents here either.

I will follow up with IRCC about the status of these applications again in 4 weeks and update you accordingly."

However, when checked my dashboard, the background check is yet to be updated.

I feel a week and some days is quite a short time for you giving yourself such anxiety. You can't get any tangible update.
