Shma2022:

You're forgetting one thing: system interference.
In 2017, we hijacked the system and formulated the 54/44 algorithm. MDVD and his team were so certain about the win- until midnight when the system was confiscated from IEBC.

This year, things are different. Election integrity was IEBC's top priority. cool

Bro your prediction was pretty close grin Baba is headed for a 52 % win.

We shall see. But it's still amazing that a spent politician pushing 80 should be giving a younger virile politician such tough time. I thought Ruto should win hands down.

This part really fall my hand, because a few days ago I was reading the tweet of a policy expert interrogating why we haven't been growing wheat; how government lacks vision only to find out we actually bought wheat seedlings but our people still sabotage it.

That said government should also do their homework when trying to implement a policy to know the potential pitfalls and areas of possible sabotage. If people are benefiting from a dysfunctional system they will resist with everything they have to stop it being cleaned up.

theenchanter:
my brother, the government is one hell of an entity, but we the masses are also hellish in nature, omo, our profiteering tendency is of huge magnitude, we don't care whose ox is gorged and we're all the same but have different or no opportunity. If some of us are to be at the helm of national affair, omo, country go dabaru pass like this.

Why I'm i saying this?

Around February, we went to inspect some shipment of wheat, a special kind of wheat that the FG, through CBN imported from Mexico, to be planted across some northern states, because that's where the wheat will grow. These wheat is said to give 10x production of what we produce. This is not them say them say matter, I used my korokoro eyes see am, na 3 ships bring am for here, I climb to the base of the ships to see the seeds. We spent 5 days going to and from apapa when the shipment landed.

Loro kan, 400 trucks of wheat seeds found their way to be distributed to wheat farmers across the northern states to be planted and Nigeria should be easing itself of wheat issue. Omo, recently, I asked my oga about the wheats, he shook his head and said the farmers sold the seeds to some wealthy men over there and the wealthy men are exporting it to neighboring countries to be sold at profit. Omo, wheat wey FG bought expensively, wealthy men took advantage of the poor farmers and bought most in bulk from them at a cheaper price.

So I asked, sebi government know about this? undecided they can't say they don't know.... Omo, las las, na dem dem dey do d runs. undecided

Baba, naija don cast, I comot my hand for anything naija. So don't blame the govt on most things, they're doing their possible best but we, the citizens consciously or unconsciously constitute majority of the problems we face.

Honestly it's annoying. Government gave some businesses money to private companies to provide electricity meters at a subsidized rate to consumers, but guess what they have chopped the money. Later we will criticize government that the power sector isn't growing. How will it grow when senseless stealing like this happens. Nigeria has to be the only country in the world where we deliberately sabotage what we will even make more money from just for mere small change.

theenchanter:
bros, which day are we going to hold ourselves responsible for once, just once? Like, let's reflect on our very own doings and undoing? Why can't we ask ourselves why the market woman selling tomato in the market inflate price of her tomato and put the blame on dollar rise? Why should a landlord increase rent and claim prices of building materials are now expensive when he's not doing any renovation on the house? Let's ask ourselves why we chose to bribe an officer to make way way for us instead of going through the right process? See, all these things do not need government intervention but our conscience. We put the blame on the government a lot even when the fault is our. We put garbage into gutters and waterways, when rain fall and flood fills everywhere, we still blame the govt, why? Is it illiteracy or sheer wickedness?

Govt gives loans to the people, people didn't invest the monies on intended purposes and japaed, is it the govt fault? highest, govt won't do such interventions again if there's no headway on it and we'll still turn around to blame the govt.

Now , u still blame the govt on lack of accountability and that govt should strictly control things. Look, govt need the people for accountability too and govt can't control thing the way u put it unless we're in north Korea.

If govt pump out money for any intervention, they're pumping the money to us, if the officials are corrupt the same way we're corrupt, bros, nothing go show.

What do you mean. Ruto has done incredible job. Raila had entire opposition(he has been scoring 45%). Then now entire gov donated by Pres Uhuru who is the chair of that Coalition - entire gov system and deep state. The entire Mainstream media.

Ruto is one MAN AGAINST HUGE MACHINE and he has prevailed.

Ruto will win - now projection is 53% to 46% - but in parliament UDA will have almost super majority - more than 220 mps.

Media is 3hrs ahead of your data. We're now doing 3.7M. Your source is a paltry 3.0M. Add 700k to your stats then let's move from there.

Currently, we're in 49.4 vs 49.1 Rao ruto. With Ruto having submitted all his strongholds.

Remember at 3M votes, Ruto was doing 51% while Raila 48%. Things are now changing. Raila is on his way to my earlier predicted 52% win. Once he starts leading, there is no going back.

This country is rotten. Your story mirror the case of rice farmers from certain region in the country who couldn't access loan from the National seed councils because the previous rice farmers who took the loans to cultivate rice used the loan to go into other business entirely. Mind you the loans for each region was in tone if billions of Naira. This was under GEJ.

Consuming propaganda.
Now after cooking data - IEBC now says turnout is 65% - close to my projected 68%
Now go back and cook again
Make sure you make total this time to 14.1m - I suspect when all polling station return it will be closer to 14.5-15m

At least 14,164,561 voters turned out to vote in the August 9 election, translating to 64 per cent of the 22 million votes, IEBC has announced.

You see, the difference between Oyinbo and us is that no matter who rules, there are already institutions in place to check corruption and indiscipline of this nature irrespective of the Government. This waste and anyhowism we see in Nigeria is not just under the Buhari's Government but even with previous Government because there are little to no systems in place to demand accountability.

You Know I'm still at a loss why Nigerians don't understand these things. You need to monitor whatever you give to the people wether blacks or whites or else it would be a mess. That's the difference between the developed world and us. They got institutions to reward and punish. How can you just hand materials to poor people and go to bed? There was a documentary I saw about Zimbabwe. The government gave seeds to farmers and the poor farmers instead of growing the seeds ate the seeds. grin You destroy your country by keeping people poor and you think you can just give them stuff and trust them. The government is the one sabotaging its own efforts. You got to handle it in partnership with the private sector, especially investment banks, vif you want results.

Exactly, if Government wants to distribute wheat to farmers for instance, they should have involved big private sector entities. Large well known private conglomerates in Agriculture like BUA or Zenith Bank and the others should have controlled it, because they are well known in Nigeria and can easily be held accountable if we don't make profit from the wheats.
