Yes, you can. You don’t need any agent before you apply for any visa. Get the required documents then apply

Please when do we start counting the processing timeline. Is it after giving biometrics or from the day we submit the application.

It’s after biometrics. Since Canada doesn’t adhere to the processing time, there’s no need for you to start counting days. If you're fortunate, you'll receive it within the processing time window. most applicants from previous year are still waiting.

Please I applied since April. And up till now I didn’t get biometrics instruction letter. Hence i haven’t done biometrics yet. I want to know if not giving biometrics would delay processing of the visa.

You only need to give your biometrics once every 10 years. You don't need to give your biometrics again until the 10-year period expires. If you gave biometrics in the past as part of an application for a visitor visa, work or study permit and they're still valid, you don't need to give them again. So ur friend no need biometric for now

Hi Folks.
Good morning please I need your urgent advise.

I applied for study permit from inside canada it has been approved however
My husband is in Nigeria and I applied for his Visit visa on the new portal since April not a single word from IRCC.
Now I dont know what to do
Based on my study permit that has just been approved can I apply for work permit for him on the old portal creating a new profile or I do it on my own profile.

Hi everyone. I’m new on this thread here. I want to apply for a visitor’s visa for my parents. I will be applying from within Canada. Should I use my gckey account or is it advisable to use the new ircc account for the application?

Based on logistics and recent happenings, If you want a much more quicker response from them, you can decide to use the new portal as opposed to the GCKEY...

You would need to escalate this if you are sure you made the complete payments... without biometrics your application would not be in process of being considered, 'cos its a requirement for TRV application
