Dude, you don’t know what you are talking about, rest.

Federal government awarded the contract from head bridge to Enugu but was never done then Peter Obi and Ngige built that the headbridge to zik roundabout axis of Onitsha, they stopped at umunya after Onitsha and then left the remaining until they Awka where they did Awka stretch alone. Aside Onitsha and Awka acid done by the state, federal government never constructed the intercity section. The aim of the state was to make the intracity city road pliable since they had no resources to build the complete stretch of the road which federal government already awarded but didn’t mobilize contractors adequately

If after this explanation you still decide to be willifully stupid then You need to come to Anambra by yourself to confirm

I’m not in doubt that FG owed Anambra for some roads construction, I just need proof that Obi paid for it. Is that too much to ask for?

In the article Obi said he followed up and confirmed that money had been released by FG not him.

My mission was simple, I didn’t think credit should be given to the state government IF AT ALL they did the road when of course they were going to ask for a refund.

I have nothing against the state government, the over-embellishment of Ex-Governor Obi by the OP is what drove me to check if he actually paid for that road. I doubt he did

It appears a lot of people supporting BAT did not know him when he was governor of Lagos. Tinubu did nothing on Lagos infrastructure, absolutely nothing. Nothing.

All of a sudden, he is the best governor ever. How?

They say he increased the igr of Lagos. The question should be how did he do it? Did he create an environment for business to thrive? The answer is no. The man only spread the tax net in an already booming economy. That isn't genius for Christ's sake. It was opportunistic. And he did it mainly for selfish reasons. The military wasn't interested in taxing Nigerians. If not, Marwa would have done exactly what tinubu did.

BATists should cut the crap. It was fashola that really worked in lagos, then Ambo. Sanwo-eko is a full time employee of Tinubu. e no get single mouth.

Perhaps, I don't compare the amount of IGR and Fed allocation Tinubu received to that of Anambra under Peter Obi. What Lagos Receives in a year is what Lagos Receives in a month, combined with federal and internatonal infrastructural presence too as the virtue of formal Nigeria capital city.

We used to call the bus stop 'Post'. The premises had just one main gate for entry and exit at the time but there is one gate post before the main gate; dunno about now. I stayed at Our Saviour Hostel (nicknamed Pentagon). My homie had a family house at Ihiala so we used to go chill there sometimes

what did Tinubu do?

Educate me

The greatest deed of Tinubu is his being able to formulate growth intensive ideas. He is a great growth and develpment proponent.

*Introduced PPP initiative as a governor in dire strait during Obasanjo-FAAC debacle.

*With hindsight, created LCDA to galvanise development. Most states have copied this albeit some with different nomenclature.

*Had a very good out of the box idea of bringing Enron...Private electricity entity...to Lagos for 24/7 power supply but truncated by Obasanjo.

*Had the idea of claiming land from the ocean to stop the perennial Victoria Island flooding. It had worked tremendously..

*The idea of using the reclaimed land for the creation of the Atlantic City..

*With the corruption inherent in the collection of taxes in states' agencies and the feds,he facilitated the creation of a private tax coy, Alpha Beta, which has been very productive for galvanising the growth of Lagos.Alpha Beta takes 10% of whatever it makes for Lagos. This is understandable. You make nothing, you take nothing.Quite a lot of states including a few SE states and Sieraleone...a country..are using the services of Alpha Beta.

*Tinubu facilutated BRT ,an ingenous way of transportation in Lagos and Nigeria.

*He facilitated the modern metro line that will come alive very soon.

*He facilitated the Lekki seaport that Obasanjo had to testify to his ingenuity.
If not for the constitution of Nigeria, the Lekki seaport would have made Lagos the second or first economy in Africa.

*The Lekki airport is another would- be-success very soon.

*And lots more.

*Let me say this as a Lagosian,we have always have Agberos in Lagos even when the population was 5,6,9,12,14 million..
According to the UNO and all other population review entities,Lagos is the most populous city in Africa now with a population of 15-21 million.
As population and gdp grows,so also are the Agberos.Lagos has the highest numbers of Agberos in Nigeria because it is the most successful state in Nigeria.
Not too far away,Agberos usually create an orgy of violence weekly, monthly etc. They take over their rivals' points of money collection with a lot of bloodbath.
Tinubu is the one that modernised Agberoism for the protection of Lagosians. They now go through elections.
Agberos are majorly iliterates, hoodlums, one time assasins, armed robbers etc.
Agberoism had taken them off the real underworld and provided them with a lesser evil 'vocation'..

I detest them, you detest them.We all want them off the roads but are we ready for the consequence.
I am not ready to die.You are not ready to die.
Most sane people do not want to die

Inventors are the originators of different things used all over the world today. They are the ideas. The real producers and builders.

How many safety lamp did Sir Humphry Davy produce?
How many telescope did Hans Lippershey produce in 1608?
How many television did John Logic Baird produce before he died?

Tinubu did not have much fund to go on projects spree, which I am sure he would have done but he gave the greatest gift to Lagos,IDEAS..
Ideas are catalysts for progress, change, and human development in society.
In business, ideas spur creativity and innovation. Companies like 3M, Google, and many others encourage (or even require) employees to dedicate 10-20% of their working hours to side projects, personal growth, or idea exploration.

Re: See The Road Constructed By Peter Obi In Onitsha Without Toll Gate by Putinofrussia: 9:18pm On Aug 11, 2022
These are some of his projects even when Obasanjo did not release Lagos state money.
He did better than most governors..

A whopping amount of N14 billion was expended on 417 road construction projects spanning 250 kilometres across the state in the first three years of his administration. 255 of these roads were already completed at that time while others were near completion.

Construction of Adeola-Odekun.

Dualisation of Ikorodu-Itokin-Epe Link Road

Dualisation of Ejigbo-Ajao Estate/Airport Road.

Dualisation of Mende/Opebi Link Road.

Expansion of Badagry Expressway.

Also during the first three years, six strategic roads were upgraded to dual carriageway status complete with streetlights, drainage channels and walkways. They are Ikotun/Igando Road in Alimosho, Kudirat Abiola Way in Ikeja, Akin adesola Axis in Eti-Osa, Itire-Lawanson Ojuelegba-Yaba Road in Mushin, Surulere and Mainland LGAs, Awolowo Road in Eti-Osa, and Lagos Island Local Governments Areas, and Moshalashi-Agege Motor Road in Mushin Local The government began laying the foundations for the megacity goal of the state and this brought about the revival of so many sectors in the state of which transportation was one.

Asiwaju resuscitated the moribund Lagos State Ferry Service by rehabilitating the grounded five ferries in the fleet namely; MF Babakekere, MF Jubilee, MF Ologe, MF Topo, MF Illo, and MF Omu all having the capacity to transport over 1000 passengers.
Asiwaju carried out the dualization of Oregun road.
Asiwaju created the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority (LAMATA), a public-private partnership agency, as a way to reform the transport system in Lagos to create a world-class intermodal integrated transport system for the megacity goal of the state.
Revival of the light rail network by Bola Ahmed Tinubu as part of the Greater Lagos Urban Transportation Project. The blue line of the project was designed to run 27.5km from Marina through Okokomaiko with 13 stations and an end-to-end journey time of 35 minutes. The redline is designed to run from Agbado to Marina, it will share the right-of-way of the Lagos-Kano Gauge.
Re: See The Road Constructed By Peter Obi In Onitsha Without Toll Gate by Putinofrussia: 9:25pm On Aug 11, 2022
A durable and diverse transportation system remains one of the basic societal infrastructures a community or any contraption needs to sustainably grow on all fronts of development since mobility is one of the habitual characteristics of human beings.

Lagos State, according to the United Nations Human Settlement Programme (UN-Habitat) research, is third on the list of 10 fastest growing cities in Africa and one can imagine that several socio-economic factors had led to this recognition and acknowledgment and one of these is the obvious and tremendous reformation that has been carried out in the transportation sector of the ‘centre of excellence in the last couple of decades.

Beginning from the last six months of the last millennium when the 12th governor of the state was elected; Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s pragmatic approach to achieving the megacity status or what we can call the Sustainable Developmental Goals (SDGs) of the state in the next decades and beyond began to take its course.

The transportation sector as our area of focus has recorded notable reformation expected of an urban community and this set of an amendment has formed the blueprint the state has been leveraging on.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu during his 8-year reign as the governor of Lagos state pioneered various reforms in the transportation sector all of which includes road transport, railway transport, water transport, and air transport.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu pioneered the creation of Lagos State Bus Rapid Transport System Lagos with the first phase designed to commence from mile 12 to CMS.

LAGBUS as well as the establishment of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) with 200 motorbikes, eight heavy-duty tow vehicles and modern communication equipment to enforce discipline in Lagos roads.
Re: See The Road Constructed By Peter Obi In Onitsha Without Toll Gate by Putinofrussia: 9:33pm On Aug 11, 2022
The four fundamental needs of man are food, shelter, clothing and good health which justifies Asiwaju’s efforts on enhancing the economy of the state despite shifting the country’s capital to Abuja making Lagos the economic and commercial capital of Nigeria with the resultant influx of people from different parts of the world.

 In September 20, 1999, he launched the Ogudu Mixed Housing Scheme that would accommodate low, middle and upper income earners in order to reduce their expenses on Housing for a basic economic challenge to be met.

He created more ministries to reduce unemployment on assumption of office on May 29, 1999 where the new ministries were given specific functions majorly on Housing with a renowned architect, Lanre Towry-Coker as the appointed head.
 He increased payroll of civil servants where the introduced biometric system of workers’ ID and bank payment procedure was introduced to convert their savings into increased salary and allowances.

He sustained work force by not creating additional poverty or sack people in existing ministries but rather convert the ministry’s dead assets, that is, the land possession of the people, into valuable means of prosperity for the state.

He introduced the private sector participation (psp) in refuse management which aided the creation of an estimated 25,000 jobs among the unemployed who are daily involved in the collection and evacuation of garbage from tenements to designated landfill sites in the State.

 In December 13, 1999, while commissioning Ikorodu Local Government Job Creation Centre, he noted his established six job registration centres that were personally thrown open by him in Lagos Island, Ikorodu, Mushin, Agege, Ikeja and Shomolu Local Government Areas and which about 50,000 unemployed graduates were registered at the centre for a start.

 He enhanced the placement of 260 applicants shortlisted by the Job Creation Ministry that was headed by Chief (Mrs) Kemi Nelson, the State Honourable Commissioner for Establishments, Pension, Training and Job Creation.
 About 2000 persons were recruited into the State Civil Service while 2000 others were engaged as highway managers to clean some major Lagos roads.

 Also 500 unemployed persons secured jobs at the State Public Works Bureau in addition to the 100 persons newly recruited as gardeners by the Lagos State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC) while another 120 agricultural trainees were engaged to cultivate lands at the State-owned Araga Farms in Epe Local Government Area.

 About 2,500 labourers were employed in the “drain ducks and attack squad” by the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning in collaboration with the Ministry of Works to regularly clear and evacuate silted drains across the State.

I am not a party person.I hate politics because of the lies and deception but I have seen that it affects my life and lives of the people around me.
I just have to get involved, not an aspirant but a voter.I and everybody around me must vote wisely.
I made my research so as to vote wisely:
ATIKU,OBI,TINUBU.
They are all corrupt.OBI is the least corrupt amongst them.

Atiku:
I even shudder at the thought of him being President of Nigeria.Has mostly gotten his hands soiled in Nigerian pie.Almost bereft of ideas.
HE Atiku cannot do anything positive for Nigeria but very, very little.Depends on money and very bereft of positive innovations.Doesnt have good antecedents of growth and development.I respect him.He is a fighter but Nigeria does not want somebody without ideas now.

Obi:
An almost gentleman.A little prudent with more integrity than the other two.
Another integrity man like Buhari.
IIf only integrity can take a country like Nigeria out of its doldrum, then Buhari and in the same vein,Obi would have been the best bet for Nigeria but no sir.
HE Obi is not so innovative. He is the normal build schools, build roads kind of governor.
Didnt execute much project but left a sizeable amount of money for his successor even if there was denial.
We need somebody who is innovative and can think out of the box now sir.
HE Obi does not fit in.Maybe when Nigeria comes out of this limbo, then welcome sir.

Tinubu:
A shrewd politician, businessman, human and infrastructure builder, etc.
Have never met or seen Tinubu before except on TV.
With my research,it was all growth and development from his Chicago days to Exxon Mobile to being a Senator to Nadeco etc.
Knowing that he is corrupt just like the other politicians..may God forgive me because I cannot prove this allegation...I have made up my mind to look at the positive part and not insinuations.
Moreover,Nigeria needs somebody with great ideas, who can build 'living things and non living things'
He has built a lot of people up and Lagos state is not left out of this growth and development which had made Lagos the 5th economy in Africa.
Tinubu,as I have observed, has the midas touch which is a gift from the Omnipresent.
Most things he touches, grow and develop.

He is an old man but with lots and lots of ideas ,victory mien and a whole gamut of positive aura.
He has done it before. He will do it again for Nigeria.
Vote wisely not with tribal sentiments.

Onitsha headbridge hold-up used to be the worst in the world until Peter Obi decided to be brave to build this classic even though it is a federal road. Complete with service lanes.

Peter Obi, we can't thank you enough. We always pray for you. God bless Nigeria!
