F4ku: It's either you can't read or you simply don't understand simple English. Awolowo equally wanted the disintegration of Nigeria, but he wanted it done amicably. He doesn't want war.. even gowon doesn't want the impending war. Only Ojukwu wanted war. While there was agreement between the duo to meet and separate amicably, Ojukwu proceeded to attack mid west. That was how Ojukwu messed up everything and shot himself in the leg. 8 Likes 3 Shares |

Lite2018: These are some of Tinubu's projects even when Obasanjo did not release Lagos state money. He did better than most governors.. A whopping amount of N14 billion was expended on 417 road construction projects spanning 250 kilometres across the state in the first three years of his administration. 255 of these roads were already completed at that time while others were near completion. Construction of Adeola-Odekun. Dualisation of Ikorodu-Itokin-Epe Link Road Dualisation of Ejigbo-Ajao Estate/Airport Road. Dualisation of Mende/Opebi Link Road. Expansion of Badagry Expressway. Also during the first three years, six strategic roads were upgraded to dual carriageway status complete with streetlights, drainage channels and walkways. They are Ikotun/Igando Road in Alimosho, Kudirat Abiola Way in Ikeja, Akin adesola Axis in Eti-Osa, Itire-Lawanson Ojuelegba-Yaba Road in Mushin, Surulere and Mainland LGAs, Awolowo Road in Eti-Osa, and Lagos Island Local Governments Areas, and Moshalashi-Agege Motor Road in Mushin Local The government began laying the foundations for the megacity goal of the state and this brought about the revival of so many sectors in the state of which transportation was one. Asiwaju resuscitated the moribund Lagos State Ferry Service by rehabilitating the grounded five ferries in the fleet namely; MF Babakekere, MF Jubilee, MF Ologe, MF Topo, MF Illo, and MF Omu all having the capacity to transport over 1000 passengers. Asiwaju carried out the dualization of Oregun road. Asiwaju created the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority (LAMATA), a public-private partnership agency, as a way to reform the transport system in Lagos to create a world-class intermodal integrated transport system for the megacity goal of the state. Revival of the light rail network by Bola Ahmed Tinubu as part of the Greater Lagos Urban Transportation Project. The blue line of the project was designed to run 27.5km from Marina through Okokomaiko with 13 stations and an end-to-end journey time of 35 minutes. The redline is designed to run from Agbado to Marina, it will share the right-of-way of the Lagos-Kano Gauge. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Obi is as corrupt as Atiku and Tinubu, if not more but your brainwashed brain won't let you see reality. 2. No ounce of Igbo blood will rule one Nigeria, even if a candidate from another ethnicity gets the presidency and it was discovered he has traces of Igbo blood in him from 2 generations ago, he would be impeached. 7 Likes 3 Shares |

F4ku: Go and learn your history well. Yorubas were quite neutral about the war until Ojukwy started moving towards the south west under the pretext that the capital was in lagos...he started attacking the Midwest and attacked Ore, a South west town. As for yoruba position on one Nigeria, Awo was totally opposed to giving so much power to the center pre independence...Infact as at 1957, he was willing to move on with seeking independence for the south west region while other regions work out their own independence when ready. Awo is a local politician through and through with his interest totally in the progress of the SW. It was Zik that started all this pandering to northern interest (that is why I laff when Igbos blame the British for Northern domination and not their own over zealousness).... Awo was willing to merge with Zik to have the needed parliament majority that will make one of them prime minister. He even conceeded the prime minister slot to Zik and wanted to be finance minister (which was like the VP at the time) but Zik aligned with Balewa to form the central govt, only to be handed a ceremonial role with no constitutional power while Awo was pushed to opposition. Awo became interested in federal politics when it became obvious that his people will not grow the way they should if he remains in opposition. Yet when he contested in 1979, he still picked an Igbo man as VP cos of his absolute believe that only a yoruba-Igbo partnership can save Nigeria cos the best and most progressive minds are in the south but Igbos will always scuttle that and rather give it to the North. I have said it severally that if Peter Obi isn't contesting and APC fields a fit yoruba candidate like Osibanjo instead of Tinubu, the Igbos still won't vote for him...infact they will quickly give it to Atiku so as to corner the southwest. The Igbos have never voted en mass for any yoruba candidate thatvis aligned with SW interest. Abiola lost Enugu, Imo, Abia and only marginally won Anambra...he lost 3 out of the 4 Igbo states of the time...Awo never even won at all. In 1999, they voted obasanjo who was not even the choice of the SW and didn't win a single local govt in South west. The new SE generation need to go back and make the yoruba-igbo political partnership to work, so that Nigeria can benefit...running to the North in a bid to outsmart will only keep the North perpetually in power and Nigeria wont be the better....The most educated, enlightened , economically-viable and progressive minded states are in the south yet we keep getting governed by people from states with poor education, poor economic growth and other backward indices....that should call for deep tot...Zik and Awo fought for independence...Most of the clamor to chase out the British was done by southerners but when the soup landed, na North gain control, just cos we cant align 9 Likes 2 Shares |

DaveDGreat: We are voting wisely by voting a competent person with growth and development antecedents like HE Tinubu sir. * The four fundamental needs of man are food, shelter, clothing and good health which justifies Asiwaju’s efforts on enhancing the economy of the state despite shifting the country’s capital to Abuja making Lagos the economic and commercial capital of Nigeria with the resultant influx of people from different parts of the world. In September 20, 1999, he launched the Ogudu Mixed Housing Scheme that would accommodate low, middle and upper income earners in order to reduce their expenses on Housing for a basic economic challenge to be met. He created more ministries to reduce unemployment on assumption of office on May 29, 1999 where the new ministries were given specific functions majorly on Housing with a renowned architect, Lanre Towry-Coker as the appointed head. He increased payroll of civil servants where the introduced biometric system of workers’ ID and bank payment procedure was introduced to convert their savings into increased salary and allowances. He sustained work force by not creating additional poverty or sack people in existing ministries but rather convert the ministry’s dead assets, that is, the land possession of the people, into valuable means of prosperity for the state. He introduced the private sector participation (psp) in refuse management which aided the creation of an estimated 25,000 jobs among the unemployed who are daily involved in the collection and evacuation of garbage from tenements to designated landfill sites in the State. In December 13, 1999, while commissioning Ikorodu Local Government Job Creation Centre, he noted his established six job registration centres that were personally thrown open by him in Lagos Island, Ikorodu, Mushin, Agege, Ikeja and Shomolu Local Government Areas and which about 50,000 unemployed graduates were registered at the centre for a start. He enhanced the placement of 260 applicants shortlisted by the Job Creation Ministry that was headed by Chief (Mrs) Kemi Nelson, the State Honourable Commissioner for Establishments, Pension, Training and Job Creation. About 2000 persons were recruited into the State Civil Service while 2000 others were engaged as highway managers to clean some major Lagos roads. Also 500 unemployed persons secured jobs at the State Public Works Bureau in addition to the 100 persons newly recruited as gardeners by the Lagos State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC) while another 120 agricultural trainees were engaged to cultivate lands at the State-owned Araga Farms in Epe Local Government Area. About 2,500 labourers were employed in the “drain ducks and attack squad” by the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning in collaboration with the Ministry of Works to regularly clear and evacuate silted drains across the State. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

F4ku: Stop sliding in insults into your comments and covering it with sugar. Awolowo did mind remaining in Nigeria he asked the Igbos to do things the right way instead of declaring war, also he declared that if the east makes said request, the the west will also go as interest in the Nigerian entity will diminish and the need to remain as one will no longer be there. 4 Likes 1 Share |

I am not a party person.I hate politics because of the lies and deception but I have seen that it affects my life and lives of the people around me. I just have to get involved, not an aspirant but a voter.I and everybody around me must vote wisely. I made my research so as to vote wisely: ATIKU,OBI,TINUBU. They are all corrupt.OBI is the least corrupt amongst them. Atiku: I even shudder at the thought of him being President of Nigeria.Has mostly gotten his hands soiled in Nigerian pie.Almost bereft of ideas. HE Atiku cannot do anything positive for Nigeria but very, very little.Depends on money and very bereft of positive innovations.Doesnt have good antecedents of growth and development.I respect him.He is a fighter but Nigeria does not want somebody without ideas now. Obi: An almost gentleman.A little prudent with more integrity than the other two. Another integrity man like Buhari. IIf only integrity can take a country like Nigeria out of its doldrum, then Buhari and in the same vein,Obi would have been the best bet for Nigeria but no sir. HE Obi is not so innovative. He is the normal build schools, build roads kind of governor. Didnt execute much project but left a sizeable amount of money for his successor even if there was denial. We need somebody who is innovative and can think out of the box now sir. HE Obi does not fit in.Maybe when Nigeria comes out of this limbo, then welcome sir. Tinubu: A shrewd politician, businessman, human and infrastructure builder, etc. Have never met or seen Tinubu before except on TV. With my research,it was all growth and development from his Chicago days to Exxon Mobile to being a Senator to Nadeco etc. Knowing that he is corrupt just like the other politicians..may God forgive me because I cannot prove this allegation...I have made up my mind to look at the positive part and not insinuations. Moreover,Nigeria needs somebody with great ideas, who can build 'living things and non living things' like Tinubu. He has built a lot of people up and Lagos state is not left out of this growth and development which had made Lagos the 5th economy in Africa. Tinubu,as I have observed, has the midas touch which is a gift from the Omnipresent. Most things he touches, grow and develop. He is an old man but with lots and lots of ideas ,victory mien and a whole gamut of positive aura. He has done it before. He will do it again for Nigeria. Vote wisely not with tribal sentiments. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Zeezenho:This is bare history, people were alive during these happenings, there are raw footages of aburi accord, interviews, documentaries, and newspaper texts, books etc. It's all public knowledge. Ojukwu's force were approaching Ore, and Benin people were angered they started attacking igbos around, to protect the innocent, government had to go after Ojukwu and his army, he stretched the war, made the igbos fight a battle of attrition. The federal government held back, till Ojukwu started making air raids with a mercenary he hired, and he was hiding his weapons and machineries among the Igbo people. Ojukwu killed your people. 6 Likes 3 Shares |

Do you know that they had no choice but vote in Either Obasanjo or Olú Falae who were the candidates of the two major political parties then. And they opted for the one pushed forward by the Fulanis against the person the Yorubas massively voted for. It's just like Yorubas saying they left Sowore to vote for Buhari in the presidential election means they are de-tribalised. That will not fly. 7 Likes 2 Shares |
