There's a lot of toxicity among football fans. An occasional troll here and there is fine, don't get me wrong, but the lengths people go to feed into their biases and polarise to either side is horrible.

One result doesn't make a club superior or inferior. A consistent row of below par performances for a season or two makes a club inferior to their usual self. Look at Manchester United, Everton; AC Milan during the last decade, Malaga etc. These are examples of clubs being inferior to their usual self.

Idk if you guys remember what Curse of Anoeta is, but there was a phase of over 10 years, during which Barcelona could not win a single game against Real Sociedad away. They've failed win against Vallecano for 3 games in a row now. Real Madrid hasn't scored against Real Betis at home in almost 4 years now.

These isolated phenomenons aren't discussed often, but despite the "consistent phase of below par performances", people wouldn't call Barca inferior to Real Sociedad or Rayo or they wouldn't call Madrid inferior to Betis.

Football is much more complex than what these toxic fans would want you to believe. Barca fans discredited our whole last season due to our 4-0 loss against them. Real Madrid fans now are overlooking their potential for their 0-0 draw yesterday. Both results stemmed from lapse in tactical decisions; but the toxic portion of fans from both sides would make you believe that the result makes one club inferior to other.

It's human tendacy to only see reason into evidences that'll align with your prejudices and polarised beliefs. We're not kids anymore and we can try and be more reasonable in assessing the "football" of it all. This is a beautiful game, and if you close your mind to hate one part of the game and do anything possible to justify and focus on the part you've chosen to love, then you're going to miss out on a lot of joy that this game can offee you.

This doesn't mean don't choose a club and love it to death. Loving one doesn't mean hating anything and everything else.

- No fluidity between the front three of Lewa, Ousmane and Raphina.

- Our attacks were too much dependent on wingplay from Raphina and Dembele. Unfortunately Raph was very off with his take-ons, crosses and shots. Dembele was a bit better wit crosses but also woeful with his take-ons and wasn't able to connect with Lewa.

- We could not attack well through the center. Somehow the pairing of Pedri and Gavi underwhelmed significantly here, which was why most of our attacking initiative was surrendered to Raphina and Dembele.

- Our attack improved after the introduction of Auba and removal of Raphina.

-MATS saved us a point in this match.

-Didnt see the value of Kessie's substitution.

I don't think you are judging the guy fairly maybe due to your over-expectation of him, but I feel Barca yesterday game was lost due to the tactical set up, there is no urgency and transition, even Dembele that everyone knows he easily leaves his marker was poor with dribbling and creating spaces. This is the first game of the season and comes with a lot of hassles that needs improvement and the guy is just trying to acclimatize to La liga since this is his first time playing in the league so you will give him the benefit of doubt. I still believe his ability to switch places with Dembele for LW/RW will always make him ahead of Fati in Xavi's project, he may not start all the match in place of Fati but he will start most of the match ahead of him.
