This Esther Chinemerem Onyenezide lass is something.

She showed same class in the first game. Her class on the ball and workrate off the ball has always been obvious.

That she scored with her right foot is indeed testament to her ambipedality. Her two-footedness is very very strong and combined with her technical ability, it is little wonder she is quite unpredictable on the ball. A young midfield marvel.

Super Falcons material 100%.

I said it. The brilliance needed to come from the midfield, and Chioma stood up just when everyone was ready for a goaless draw. cool

You're very correct. It takes a player with good sense to see a goal in that situation. Thinking fast and making a decision within a split seconds cut the goal deal for the Onyenezide girl, too.

You didn't notice how Flourish Sabastine takes on the Korean in a 1V1 situations.. She isn't afraid to face her opponents that's the kind of confidence we need from our attackers..

Defensively she was there too...

It was a boring match. Both teams were lethargic. No sense of direction whatsoever. Thank God for the goal which led to the win. That's all that matters.

Yeah...they all played with a lot of discipline and lose their shape much but they need to also improve tactically . The goal keeper made a lot of saves as well cheesy

The #7, Chiamaka Christabel Okwuchukwu is a fine supersub. I appreciate her ball sense and workrate.

She was almost on goal, after robbing the Korean captain of the ball, before she got pulled back roughly by same Captain.

Loves the way she also presses. Her energy off the bench each time she has come on is noted and gives the team's attack some lift.

Her touch in a duel with that Korean defender set up Onyenezide to wield her magic of technical ambipedality.

Well done Christabel. wink

It was a boring match because the Koreans wanted it boring.

What do you expect when you have a 5 person defence wall

They needed to short circuit the fluidity of the Falconets movement especially in the final third and they succeeded

Kudos to the Koreans, they were very disciplined

Alas, a moment of brilliance was all we needed

Sebastine is good, funny, quick and nimble on the ball and true she's got a big heart taking on on defenders for her size they did not give her the kind of through pass..In the middle like the one that she scored against France...the midfielders were just spraying and pumping the ball forward today ..
Her little moments were quite a threat to the koreans cheesy

Kudos to the goalkeeper

Her performance today was a total departure from what we experienced last game

She improved significantly and made vital saves

Hoping she'll continue to improve as the competition progresses

Good analysis, the koreans defended well and relied on fast breaks at some point but our girls were up to it back tracking quickly to clear
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 12:26am On Aug 15, 2022
As in eh, the thing tire me. 3 lasses covered the central defensive lines with 2 others assigned to each wing defensively and not to add that their deeplying midfielder also fell back to choke up that third of the pitch when need be.

They packed the bloody bus and depended solely on their speed on the counter as their only attacking outlets to win corners from which their obviously planned routines didn't work against us as it did against Canada.

Kudos to our girls for outsmarting and out-doing the Koreans in a game of tactical endurance.

Dangerous. We are always building. 2015 was supposed to be a new crop. But it did not gell. One mistake will be to retire all the Falcon players and replace them with these younger girls.

Sometimes, at all at all bad pass. I will say still keep him till the world cup

She was brought down on two occasions by the Korean, and during the first half the Koreans had two to three players on her but she still had her time...
