if light gets stable, how do you expect Dangote,Adenuga, etc to sell their oil? That's why it can't be stable in Nigeria.Daily fuel consumption of over 200 million people is worth billions of dollars. That's why light would never be stable in Nigeria and electric vehicles would not become common. My area is still in total darkness like it has ever been . I'm in Saki right now

Dangote would export any excess refined fuel..after helping to meet Nigerian demand.

West Africa is a big enough market for properly refined Nigerian oil. Instead of West African countries like Ghana, Ivory Coast sending crude to refine in Europe, they would buy refined fuel from Dangote refinery. Saves them money.

Also, a lot of parts of this country are still off grid, and even with the improvement in power, generation is not enough to give everyone 20-24 hours of light, seven days a week. We need something like 40000MW before we can know we are getting somwehre. The generator is going nowhere. DISCOS and GENCOS have a way to go before we get stable 24 hour light. Even the current SIEMENS project is not going to make everyone get light forever. 7000MW with 2000 gone from a capacity of 13000mw is not enough for a country our size.

Have you forgotten we are in Nigeria? Corrupt capitalists are very swift and smart with how they operate and play their games. Shouldn't you have seen the writing on the wall to realise that Siemens project is being frustrated? Siemens promised 25000mw but how come there hasn't been any improvement since last four years they embarked on it? Starlinks just got smacked after all the 6 licenses NCC issued them, giving them a strong green light. Now they want to send them packing because the Adenugas that are enjoying the semi-monopoly don't want bigger dogs to come bite them and make them irrelevant. How much would it cost us to make to install power plants for 40000mw? Is it up to 10billion dollars? Isn't our GDP far more than that? We are oil rich and don't let anyone deceive you. Power generation isn't that unattainable, only corruption makes it seem like it is. Right now we are still on 5000mw according to Peter Obi. That's nothing to write home about. About Dangote's refinery,he would be lying if he claims Nigerian market isn't the most important to him. Nigeria is the most populous nation here and our population alone is probably more than that of all west African countries put together. He can only generate the $14billion loan he invested with highest percentage from Nigerian market cos the foreign countries are going ecobfriendly and have their own supply of oil before his refinery . That's why Nigeria would never encourage innoson and other local automobile companies to produce electric vehicles at least to ease the masses. That's why they would never encourage tech experts to produce solar inverters, batteries and panels but instead tax importers of these products heavily to make them unaffordable for the masses so that Dangotes and Adenugas oil can sell but they would decieve you and tell different lies and give you different impressions . They claimed they want Elon Musk to set up battery factories in Nigeria after he made moves at out lithium but believe me,after he makes such attempt to set up the factories here,it would be dead on arrival

It costs far more than ten billion dollars to fix the power sector.

Also big capitalists benefit more from power being steady than they do now..even adenuga and dangote.

Lack of adequate financing is what is causing most issues

When I opened this thread, I was expecting positive response
From d responses I realized that although few Nigerians get good supply of electricity but most of them get very terrible supply of electricity which isn't good for a so called giant of Africa cry cry
Most Nigerians receive light when it is time for them to bring bill
Buhari just dey carry us go where we no know
We must not start with 24hrs electricity,we can be given at least 18hrs of electricity daily for a start
May God give us a good leader this coming 2023 election
