Na so o! I harvested 1.2kwh from my 1.520kw solar panels yesterday where I had harvested 7.7kwh max before. I could hardly believe my eyes. I have decided to reactivate a setup (1.08kw poly panels) I had erstwhile ignored for about 2 years. E baaad gaaaan! adrusa: |

Greetings to the elders, I was here about two years ago..., think I'm finally ready to join the solar team. How do I get the best setup at reasonable price? The house is a 3 bedrooms apartment with an home office. What we intend to use the inverter for are as follows: 3 laptops, 1 LaserJet printer, 1 refrigerator, 2 TV sets with decoders, about 10 bulbs. Other loads such as pump and heaters will be powered by generator when needed. The printer too, may be removed from the list. Please I needed all the help I can get. Thanks in anticipation. |

SoftHeart: Can you get the wattage of these devices? The more accurate the load, the more accurate the determination of the most appropriate inverter setup |

FEGEITOK: Thanks for your response Sir. I will check the wattage and quote you in the message. Thanks again. |

Good evening bosses. 1. Please does anyone know if there are any quality inverter 1.5-2kva capacity that is 12v and has inbuilt Charge Controller. Those I have seen are 24v. 2. If I later decide to get a standalone Charge Controller can I still pair it with an hybrid inverter that already has an inbuilt one? Thank you in anticipation of your responses |

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by SoftHeart(m): 6:30pm On Aug 15, 2022 |
FEGEITOK: Sir, I've checked the wattage. My calculations shows it's 1014.9 Watts altogether. I'm surprised at the wattage of a few of the devices: Zbook laptop 200W (charger), I don't know it should be this high. Also, LG 70" UHD 4K is 20W, I was expecting this to be higher. So I'm confused, maybe I'm not checking the right info. |

SoftHeart: 3 laptops, 1 LaserJet printer, 1 refrigerator, 2 TV sets with decoders, about 10 bulbs. If ur laptop is not alienware I doubt if each can give 200w Most laptops are 60w, so assume dem to be 200w for d 3 laptops Printer ? Refrigerator 200w or less Tv each say 100/120w lets guess both to be 250w 10 bulbs times 10w = 100w Decoders 20w So roughly 1200w If everything wont be wont be working at d same time.. |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by SoftHeart(m): 7:30pm On Aug 15, 2022 |
dollarnaira: I've actually removed the printer from the calculations. See attached, I also forget to calculate the decoders in this attachment.

Hi y’all, I want to warn members and the general public from buying from energymall.ng especially solar panels. [img][/img] I bought 4 units of 350w solar panels at 77,000 each for a total of N308,000. They showed me the original Felicity panel as sample and then shipped me fake 180w panels. I hope those panels are up to 180 sef. Find picture of said fake panel nameplate below. All effort to reach them after has proven abortive. It’s difficult doing business in Nigeria if people are looking to rip you off at any chance that they get. If only someone had posted their experience online, I wouldn’t have fallen victim. Please do not buy from energymall.ng they will scam you 5 Likes

Almost everyone I know using Solar has been complaining about the weather. I say let me come and ask how you guys here are coping (especially those off grid) ? Are you guys supplementing with generator? Do you haave oversized panels? Asking so I know how to plan ahead do such seasons. 1 Like |

sethtsadopp: Not off-grid though but most probably will consume less energy especially on ac, fans, freezer (with sense),since the weather is cool and breezy. There is time and season for almost all businesses too. 1 Like |

SoftHeart: I think I have the same TV and I can tell you despite what is written, the wattage is definitely higher than that. I connect it to a ups and even with new batteries, max is five mins. Also it puts a noticeable strain on the gen. 3.5kva. There is something slighty iffy about these fouani LG TVs - (maybe a unique naija spec) as their model numbers don't work.in Google, but that's another naija story. Your zbook is an hp.workstation laptop. Should have a quadro gpu. That's why the charger is 200w.dl laptops with gpus (typically gaming or workstation) come with anything from 130 to 230 w chargers. 2 Likes |

Trippledots: I understand u bro but rembr too that dollar was once 180. Over there it is affordable. No right thinking human will buy dat with current dollar rate but rather do with LifePO4 105A. The 190a sef na roughly 95a at 50% DOD. Who will buy a 12v 190A lead acid battery at 871× 600 dollar rate? That is N522,600 . So sell based on say probably e "good" not d price posted above. 1 Like |
