I think most sane Kenyans will feel that way. Unfortunately, Odinga can't win because he's not from right side of town (majority tribe), so to unsavoury characters like Ruto it must go. This is the drawback of democracy.

Peter obi spent 8yrs as Governor.
All through his tenuree, there was no case of financial inpropreiry.

He did not enrich himself or create state laws to give himself a rich pension.

He was impeached by his own lawmakers because he did not inflate govt Budget.

Infact his past history is a major reason why the political establishment in the South East don't like him.

I'd rather say he had more public appeal (especially with the youths) than say he was too powerful for the president. Whatever the supreme Court decides we'll see how that pans out. Most importantly, the people have made a statement through a newly formed 'structureless' party.
