Code should be 5, p043E is missing. Mine happened when I overfilled my fuel tank. Unfortunately problem might be costly to fix. Start from your fuel cap and make sure it's tight. But usually problem is the charcoal canister. I erased the codes and it still came back after some miles of driving.

You seem to have issues with your evap system and this can cause fuel vapors to be perceived around the car. It needs to be urgently checked and diagnosed by a competent technician.

Pls need assistance with my Acura mdx 2008

Anytime I start the car to drive and accelerate... It doesn't pick up quickly. It becomes slow no matter how hard I press down. Then after few seconds it picks up with force.
My technician told me it's fuel pump which has been changed but the issue still persists

Pls need assistance on WHT the cause would be and how to get it rectified

A friend had the same issue, it was a sensor that was responsible for that.

He changed it and that was all. it was a 2012 mdx though.

I saw lots of container with dw1 on it, but somehow who is a victim told me not to buy it, that they are fake, he told me use oando dexron 3 instead.

I had my car scanned and i got this code twice P0420 catalyst efficiency below threshold level bank 1...I got the same code twice in two different scans and it was the only code

Not at all. I just got the car and I observed it. The engine has never been opened even the engine cover has not been removed for almost 4 years wen the car was bought as toks

The oil is rated for 20k miles althiugh this isn't advisable,
I do 6k on it max so I don't get where this is coming from .

Yeah it's actually 5 codes, I notice after I filled the tank also, did you fixed yours? If yes, how much did it cost

Nothing I don't have the time for it now. I don't even know how much is the charcoal canister assembly in the market but from online search, it can be quite expensive

Yo! So you know like most people prefer to own either Mercedes-Benz or Lexus, then there are the youngings with either the Glk350 or the Lexus RX350.

How to know a faulty fuel pump.
Nos 1. False readings especially at filling station,you will buy almost 20 litres or less,still your fuel indicator on dashboard reads empty or just at where the fuel was at last b4 u got there.
Nos 2.slow acceleration or dancing rpm on slow speed,medim speed. The ratio at which the engine and torque won't tally with speedometer.

Nos 3. Backfires. Car will backfire at slow speed,medium speed or at reverse.. it's a sign your fuel pump has given up and forcing itself to work.
Nos 4... difficulty in starting at cold start esp in the morning
You engine starts and goes off immediately,when you start,the ecu is not receiving signal hence you get rough idles,stalling and of cos backfires .you might have to crank engine one or two times be4 your car rpm stabilise.. if you don't have much fuel,you are in big soup. It will stall and stall and might ot even get you to the nearest filling station.

Nos 5.... last but not least. Poor gas mileage.
Since your pump is faulty,there would be wrong readings on the odometer,wrong signal from ecu,hence more wasting of fuel. You will be buying fuel like pure water,daily expenses.

To avoid all this,either go to ladipo with the car direct,go with your mechanic or find one along there to dismantle the fuel pump. Make sure you go with a multimeter to ascertain if the fuel pump sold to you at ladipo is faulty or direct tokunbo. If you can't go through All of these ladipo wohala of its faulty or its not working,come today,come tomorrow . Please and please,order direct complete tokunbor for ebay. Its the nos 1 solution to fuel pump wohala. Dont let mechanic scam u oh. I have been there and received sense after 5 months of doing trial and error,spark plug,change engine oil,tyre psi not correct,change gear oil. Its fuel pump o. And there is no sensor in fuel pump oh to give u pinpoint. U will buy 2faulty naija used and polished and packaged back as tokunbor,u sef go taya. U will get to know if the fuel pump is faulty after 3 to 4 days,as u buy fuel ,u sef go dey watch and observe,if u buy tomorrow again,pump no well be that. God bless ebay with amazon.
So scanner will not even go there.

I believe u not,forget story. Oyinbo sef dey tamper with car parts and perairs,just that they do it like factory,so u wo t ever know. But if na accidented car,forget,u can never know if engine has been removed or not. Nothing like brand new. God. One day i will buy brand new model car,first owner,first driven by me.

@Gazzuzz My Honda accord was P0011 and I replaced the camshaft and it is still showing P011.
