you are going to obtain police extrac/ police clearance certificate and send to them/ It is equivalent to DBS assuming your are already in the UK, But police check can only be done where you have lived..
As for flywire, fill the form as you will normally do, and chose to pay in other currency and chose GBP. submit the payment intruction along with other document with form A. the problem is form A is slow these days, and cannot meet flywire deadline, but the banks usually call you to update flywire receipt when they are ready to disburse after u have been debited, what you do is generate a fresh flywire invoive and upload it, then call them that you have uploaded.

There is no response or movement since then, the delay is demotivating.

I did my biometrics same day at VI. Still at DMC but decision has been made when I called on Monday. I don't know why it's taking them this long. And they are the only center charging MUP fee

You won’t really understand sha. Since from all I said, all you chose to pick out is what you have picked out. All I can say is experience is the best teacher and I am not in any position and can never choose for anyone. I couldn’t care less if anyone takes what I say with a pinch of salt or a bag of garri. I have given my own experience and again the school is NOT worth the amount of tuition I paid. I could have gotten better quality education and experience for the price paid.
Anyone else can come and experience it, I’m not paying fees for the person.
Like Duchess rightly said, I am in the wrong, I should have done proper research before settling for it, again, I was desperate at the time and had limited options.
Maybe I haven’t put my issues with the school properly here but it’s a lot more than what I have written. Again, experience is the best teacher and everyone is welcome to pay millions to experience it.

@madamgift, I must commend your bravery and kindness in sharing your experience so far on UWL.

I can attest to some of the things you have said about the school. My MA had a terrible experience with the school even with their Nigerian representative. The lady acted like she was doing us a favor, would not pick calls, and even when she did, she was always snappy.

We experienced the same with the school admin officers in London. What broke the camel’s back for us was when they accused my MA of sending a fake transcript - something that was sent to them directly by UNILAG (this was back on Feb, just before ASU strike).

UWL indeed has a very poor ranking , they aren't even listed on some UK school rankings so I’m not surprised you equate it to a Polytechnic. Needless to say, my MA was fed up with them and we decided to look elsewhere because in his words, one should never go where they are not wanted or welcomed.

By providence, we were able to retrieve the same transcript from UWL, applied to University of Kent which though is more expensive, it has a much better ranking and so far, we have been treated with so much courtesy and kindness and surprise surprise, their Nigerian rep was equally nice and courteous… so I guess that tells you something about each school … lol

@justwise, I think you should consider starting a thread where people can give their candid review on their school of admission so that others can learn and make an informed decision before embarking on this expensive journey.

I did a paid call on the 11th of August, decision has been made for MA only, I sent a paid mail yesterday (16th of August), just acknowledgment reply, no updates till now.

This is what could happen,if the ECo doesn't see your application as the second parent they may send an NSF requesting that.

If that comes through please respond with the evidence of your visa application and cover letter stating what has happened

But please raise the complaint on this first

I truly wish you had checked with us here on Nairaland first before cancelling your application after biometrics. You didn’t state what propelled you to take this action but I’m certain it could have been resolved via other means such as writing a cover letter or email or even via NSF as we’ve seen others do here.

I have no idea what happens now but I truly hope that things work themselves out.

Good morning my people.
Having been in the Uk for over two months now studying at University of west London, I will like to advise admission seekers to opt for better options, only come to UWL if it’s your last resort or you don’t have any other option because the fees are too much for such a waste. Firstly, this school should not be a University but a polytechnic or college. The non academic staffs are super rude and the finance team are on another level. Once you get here, even after paying 10k tuition deposit, they will harass you for the balance of your tuition. The environment where the school is, housing cost is over the roof. Any money you are working will go to accommodations unless you have a family member to stay with. Timetable is adjusted at will and very annoying. Imagine having a class at 9am- 10am and another one at 5.30pm to 7.30pm! They will ensure you come to school up to four times a week. If you miss lectures too many times, they will send you emails threatening to send you back to your country oo. Lecturers will take forever to reply your email, I don’t know who gave them the award for student experience but that thing is audio. Forget about scholarships and tuition discounts.
If you are already coming to UWL, I will advise you to bring enough money along o. Again, UWL should be any admission seeker’s last resort because the school No be am at all. Total waste of all that money I must say. I have been researching ways to transfer and if I can get a refund of my tuition or the tuition is sent to another school. Please if you have any information on changing schools kindly help me please.
