Well in times of crisis, citizens comes first.

Half of their males are dieing in battle and the few left to continue their civilization by being offered admissions and special privilege are to consider you?

Everything is not racism.
Come back to Nigeria and allow them get their country together.

Infact you should be among those showing them pity and offering special privileges as well and not dragging road with them.

Racism will never end as long as Africans keep Africa-ing
Africa share a blame but the west is contributing a lot to underdevelopment in Africa.

Have you ever asked yourself why Obama sent David Axelrod and John Kerry to Nigeria to help install Buhari?

They understand that once the top is corrupt, clueless and evil, the land will never see progress. That's why they always ensure the least qualified keep ruling us

Racoon:
See Ukraine many of us were pitying back then when they were taking the heat from Russia. Now many of these European countries as well as the other Western imperialist nations(US,UK etc) are all damned racists.

Even the Polish that the world fought the onslaught of the Nazi-controlled Germany for back then too were showing overt racism to African students @ the Poland-Ukrainian border. Nowhere is better than home.
You are complaining about racism in the West forgetting the stupidity happening in Nigeria, which one is worst, a government helping his citizens who happens to be white, and a country like Nigeria where the government is covertly importing foreigners to come kill its citizens?

Most of the African students (mostly Nigerians) that fled Ukraine to other parts of Europe, have been accommodated, fed and given some stipends, but they are seeking asylum, rather than return back to their home country.

Let these same Africans at least talk good about the European countries that are also accommodating them, not always shouting racism this and that.

Ukraine situation was unfortunate, and countries helped to take care of you, with the hope you will return to your homeland safely or even your country will come pick you up, rather you are on social media shouting racism.
In Nigeria, you have tribalism, but won't complain of it.

It is unfortunate. But since they have a home country, why would they seek asylum after been settled in a safe land. They should return home or seek other legal means to be residents.
Most of these EU countries are welcoming.
Imagine if Niger have war and Nigeria accepts their refugees and send them to East and Western parts of the country, with accommodation, feeding and stipends (on tax payers money), when they are not working.
You may witness protests.

Sometimes I see some of these reports as either doctored or just 10% of the truth.
The Ukraine war has shown me that the even mainstream press can be manipulated.

In my estate here in Abuja, none of the 17 students studying in Ukraine that successful return from Poland to Nigeria mentioned racism.
They all said they were well taken care of by Ukrainians, Polish border guards and Polish citizens till they left for Nigeria.

Seriously? Maybe you should ask then again. Something is definitely not right

I blame our wicked leaders for destroying Nigeria and our education, our government is so insensitive as well

This is very wrong though, racism in the midst of war.

I want president Zelensky to personally address this ugly issue, he's been getting a lot of support from every corner of the world, his people should not be hostile to foreigners, Africans in particular.

United Nations should also do something about this
Whether he do something about it or not, Africa is for Russia...
People that share our land and resources among themselves like biscuit, invade sovereign countries under disguise of terrorist have no moral or any right to tell us who's evil... tongue

Why go abroad?, when we can create universities, and institutes of world-class academic standards, so students can have good
education right here in Nigeria. An education that offers a rich, vibrant and healthy environment with a curriculum that enriches
both domain expertise and life skills.

I am not an educator so whatever advise I give here will be that of a layman

I feel the education ministry should provide some form of assistance. I am certain there are universities overseas that can accommodate these students that will enable them seamlessly continue their education.

The ministry should liase with such universities. These universities school fees must be about the same range of their present universities or even lower. The degrees are awarded should be acceptable by their present universities.

Ukraine is in survival mode and Russia is increasingly desperate going as far as firing rockets from a nuclear plant. Despite that, Ukraine should show concern for the plight of foreign students by assisting them find alternatives, even if for a small fee.

Ukraine should think outside the box. Ukraine is very corrupt and an opportunity to make a buck by kleptocrats would not turned down.
