ugift4reel:Congratulations. Do you have English test result and at least a proficient English? if you do, create multiple EOIs on Skillselect. You can check youtube/google on how to do that. I'd advise you create two - one for 491 Queensland and 190 queensland. You are lucky your occupation is on the QSOL list. |

soulamanne: I was excited when I read Tunlex's post about QSOL being opened, I scanned through the list very rapidly but didn't find my occupation as well. Then I went through the list like 3 times again, but very slowly this time! still not there on the list! Quite sad anyway, but like you said, we move o! 1 Like |

Gaood afternoon everyone, please I need your advice as to how to find my EOI. I received a positive assessment from vetassess some months back but my year experience was reduced to 2.2yrs. What happened was that, I submitted 2 job experiences, the first one was 6yrs but with 15hours per week while the second was 3yrs plus with 40hours per week. The first wasn't counted because it didn't meet the minimum 20hours per week to be qualified. This is because in the first 18months of the job, I enrolled for my masters and I was afraid it would affect my points if I had stated I also worked 20hours during this period. I want to know if I can go ahead to fill 20hours per week in the remaining 4 and half years of my first job, in my EOI, without having an issues with my application later. Thank you for your assistance. |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by tunlex01(m): 4:05pm On Aug 19, 2022 |
Kenyanne:You can only claim years of experience approved by your assessing authority as you can’t claim point for it. You can include it in your EOI but select ‘not relevant to occupation” You should have reassessed with Vetassess within 90 days. This is why it’s important to mention stuff like this and get people to review your letter before submission. |

Prudency045: Visit Vetassess website to review their assessment requirements. Gather your documents and get it reviewed by some expert that have previously assessment same occupation. You don’t need to present your Masters degree though. Just BSc certificate and transcript |

Thanks @tunlex01 for the prompt response. We didn't realise we have made a mistake until recently. Pls, is it possible to get a state nomination or family sponsorship for agricultural consultant in the northern territory even if it is not on the occupation list? |

Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by tunlex01(m): 2:51am On Aug 20, 2022 |
Kenyanne:Very unlikely for NT. Why NT though? |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Nobody: 5:47am On Aug 20, 2022 |
tunlex01: My supposed sponsor lives there, he was initially going to be my sponsor until we found out agricultural consultant wasn't on the occupation list of the Northern territory. I couldn't have assessed agricultural scientist because I had no experience in that line. Please, can we access state sponsorship from another region and is it very likely we get one? |

Kenyanne:Agricultural Consultant is on QLD’s list https://migration.qld.gov.au/occupation-lists I assume that you have skills assessment already so you can choose both visas 189 and 190 on your EOI. |

Hi Tunlex, Am I a good fit for Australia PR? Age: 35 Profession: Accountant/Management Consultant Qualifications: B.Sc Economics; ICAN (ACA & AAT). Currently undergoing an online EMBA at Quantic University of Business and Technology. Work Experience: Big4 Accounting firm - Accountant 4.5 years. Another Big4 consulting 1.5 years. Making 6 years altogether. Family: Me, Wife and a 2 month old. What are my chances, please. Thanks |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by tunlex01(m): 8:40am On Aug 21, 2022 |
Hollarmighty: The process is competitive for Accountant/Management consultant. You need to get a very high point like 95 and above which is very unrealistic for offshore applicant. You best option is to look out for jobs in the big4 in Australia. They are still recruiting people into the country on 482 visa. |

You can get state sponsorship from other states if you meet their requirement for your occupation. Check all the states that are currently nominating and previous pages. There has been information posted on nominating states. |

@tunlexo1 I don't know if you have perused the updated WA eligibility criteria. suddenly ,I did not see the job contract clause for offshore again .In fact the while update was majorly silent as per offshore applicants except you read deep through WASMOL1&2.now all I see is job offer contract is for 190 and not 491...kindly help clarify if you have heard or seen this 1 Like |

There was an update yesterday from WA migration. The WA Government has made changes to its migration program to support skilled workers looking to migrate to Western Australia including increasing occupations eligible for skilled migration in WA by around 60 per cent. *New occupations have been added* to the Western Australian Skilled Migration Occupation List Schedule 1 (WASMOL Schedule 1) and the Western Australian Skilled Migration Occupation List Schedule 2 (WASMOL Schedule 2). The list of newly available occupations can be found on the WA State Nomination – combined occupation list. The WA Government has also *waived the $200 application fee* and has made changes to the requirements for new applicants as of 1 July 2022, including: 1.*Removal of the requirement to demonstrate sufficient funds for WA State nomination.* 2.*Reduction in the English requirements for applicants at the Manager and Professional occupation level to *the "competent" level of English.* 1 Like
