I would have said they should relocate to the North, because most of them are Northerners, but there is also a ban there. It’s a doggy doggy world out there. They should hold their Northern elders accountable.

Wishing Lagos all the best, though this is too extreme but necessary for Lagos state to attain the true status of megacity.

Okada or no okada isn't wat qualifies for maga city.. lagos has been a mega city over 10 years ago

Every money both oil and otherwise that leaves or enters Nigeria passes through Lagos. So is every importation that serves the need of over 200 million Nigerians. Yet Lagos is like potopoto. When I arrived Nigeria months ago I wanted to reside there but then from the airport itself I started changing my mind. I ended up staying in Lagos just for a week with severe stresses.

I tell you truth, if the politicians from Lagos are doing well, by now Dubai should be a child's play to Lagos. But then you see people calling Lagos a mega city just because people live in it?. Really?
To every lagos, Tinubu and co are owing you guys more then 50 million naira each. When you see then, ask them for your money that they stole
Where were you coming from?
Which area from the International airport to where you stay are potopoto area?

The answer you give will give a better picture of what you are saying.

Mumu…

A man drunken on a little success.

The okada ban is yet to be effectively implemented on the island.
It won't be effective because you and I still need them sometimes. If there are no customers for okada riders, they will go out of business.

If you want it to be effectively implemented tell you friends, family, domestic staff, co-workers not to patronize them again.

This ur comment was making sense till u mentioned tinubu..emi lo kan

Lagos is the most progressive thinking thinking state in Nigeria as at now . Banning commercial motorcycle is good. With the opening of light rail ,the traffic in Lagos will be reduced by 50% and with Lagride there won't be need for Okada anymore and sanity and security will return to the state ... Beautiful, if only other states governors inherited solid blueprint from their predecessors Nigeria will be better off .
Tinubu has laid the legacy and ensured the system of continuity in dispensing good governance for a modern Lagos today. Kudos to Fashola, Ambode Sanwo-Olu for being capable heir.
Kudos to Lagosians for making the right choices . Eko o ni baje.
Kudos to Nigerians who wants a better Nigeria and will vote Tinubu for his visionary and leadership skills devoid of religious, ethnic and political sentiments.

I don't jnow how you want to look at it but I think is for the interest of the masses

Another issue to look into is LASMA officials extorting motorists.

You get the point now. With people still biking up and down, last mile buses, lagride won't see patronage and thus making their investment in that sector useless. So banning is the way to go. While it might make sense cos it's the way to go for people to use lagride however, government is not suppose to be a profit making venture.

Me as a rider in Oshodi - Isolo. My point is that if okada is ban totally, it will save lives. Because just last month alone i have two different accidents. But the question is that which other work can i get easily. I mean easily

Depends on what you want to do and your profile. Seek employment if possible. You can also key into the LASG (and occasionally some NGOs) skills acquisition programs to empower yourself and become an entrepreneur.

Very good, no mega city in the world use okada. Okadas are huge security risks, as it's easy for criminals to access and maneuver with. Total ban on okada is welcome. Lagos is a mega city, it must be sane and safe, okadas make a city looks dirty, rough and over populated, with it's security and health risks, both accident and harmful exhaust fumes.

Most of them come from the North and other states, they should go to their governors to give them job, their governors collect their state revenue and enjoy their state's resources, they are not Lagos state's problem. A city does not deviate from it's growth and development plans because of a few.
