If Madrid had offered us Modric 6 years ago (@ 30), you might have this same complains.

A 30 year old DM is still young and can play at the top for another 5 years.

Its like you dont consider the environment these guys are in. Modric is able to still be great because he's in a great situation at Madrid. There's a reason they would be happy to sell Casemiro. We simply dont have a platform for even great players to thrive yet. And bringing in expensive 30+ high mileage and high wages players is not going to fix the team.

A club as big as Man United don't have a 7/10 CM and a DM specialist.

Every single signing is a gamble, you just have to make sure the player(s) tick some boxes.

We definitely need some experienced players but we need to be careful trying to take a shortcut. He's a great player but that money and wages will cause other issues considering the money isnt really there like that anymore.

Players admiting their incapability at meeting ten Hag's demands/ current tactics is not something bad or means they are turning on him especially when you consider they just lost 2 matches in a row conceding 6 goals with Liverpool next. Am sure Ten hagg came to that conclusion himself without the players needing to say anything. If you analyzed both games you will realize Eth was a bit naive
and too optimistic in the way he's setting up the team and on what he expects from many of these players. After two defeats now and strong teams coming next I expect him to adjust and be more pragmatic so we can start getting results which will remove pressure from his shoulder then expand from there.

He's 30 not 34. What would you have us do? They've obviously not scouted any player that can fit that position. Either we overpay on the best CDM in the world or we overpay on a prospect that might end up like Fred.

The point is that FDJ prefers to be a DLP not a DM which is what ETH wanted him for. Casemiro is a complete switch from that because its accepted that we probably wont get FDJ anymore.

Unless if ETH style of play is not to win, that's when Casemiro would not fit in.
