That's was the idea ... But Ajax changed their stance immediately the new manager asked they shouldn't sell both.. so they upped the price. Man Utd thought Ajax will keep up with the agreement. They didn't want to sell again and Utd were hell bent on concluding FDJ's deal and they came to find out that Barca were owing FDJ. That really put a twist to the transfer
