Who was backing up Drogba at Chelsea? Who's Salah's backup? When Lewy was at Bayern who backed him up. At Madrid, any real backup for Benzema?

The thing is, any backup was/is always going to be a low tire and may be a slightly above average player or an old player former world class player old enough to be happy to be benched. Auba is a world class player with Bliga and EPL golden boots to his name. When we signed Lewy, I felt he'll want out. Depay is a good backup but he'll feel he's better than Ferran to be backup. Let's not forget that even Ferran is s backup player too.

Let's assume we start: Dembele, Lewy and Rafinha, we still have Fati, Ferran and even Abde as backups. If Abde leaves on loan, we still have Pablo Tore and even Gavi to play there on very rare occasions.

Yeah I get that chief but keeping Auba will be counter productive. He may be smiling all through during training but it's possible that he's not that happy that his position is taken. He's one of the main reason why we got second in laliga. He was so great for us in laliga now a new signing who's better than him is here and he'll be just a backup.
