FDJ is your classic CM in a double pivot. Under ETH, he was the most advanced in that double pivot with L.Shone who played as the DM. FDJ is known for carrying the ball and breaking lines with his passes. He's not really known for defending like Casemiro or even players like Busquet.

Barca fans want him to replace Busquet but that will never happen because he's too mobile, he just doesn't stay one place and act as that fulcrum or a screen Infront of the defence. I think he'll be sold....

A lot of factors contributed to this.

The poor results infuriated the fans to remember the Glazers. If we had won the first two games with 4-0 each, the Glazers would have closed their wallet.

Veronique Rabiot also deserves special praise for putting her son’s wages near Ronaldo’s level. This action pissed off Murtough to enquire about Casemiro.

The planned #GlazersOut protest catalyzed by the poor results also got the board scampering around for good signings to appease the fans.

If that’s the idea, we should erect a statue for ETH. He’s been able to solve what gave 3 different managers(Jose, Ole and Rangnick) a huge problem.

After Jose got Pogba in 2016, he knew that midfield still needed another maestro and he gave Woodward a list that contained Milinkovic-Savic. Woodward saw the list and threw it into the bin. He got a cheaper option(Fred) instead.

Being versatile is not good enough and for a player like Dejong screening the defence for United? Then you're asking for more and more trouble. That guy is not a defender ooo.

Of course he can play CB same way Kimmich played CB for Pep at Bayern but he's not stable. He roams alot, sometimes too much.

United need a DM and that's what Casemiro will bring. Playing Dejong as a DM is another pogba waiting to happen. I tell you what; he'll need more unlocking than pogba ever did.
