Your argument does not make any sense because you keep reading me from the perspective that I think Cucurella is not a good player. I am not discussing whether he is good or not. After City refused paying over 40M for Cucurella, we went and spent 15M on the plan B. One would have argued that there was no need to have ever gone for him when the plan B option was clearly cheaper but that is not how it works. The only difference is, City wanted to pay a fair price for the player not 22M more than that fair price. If you don't get it, just let it soak. Next year you will get it.

lol If someone pays $1.5M for a Richard Mille watch, asking what is in a watch that will make anyone pay that amount is irrelevant. Those watches are very highly valued and some of them can be that expensive. However, if Jay Z decides to sell one of his that he got for $450K, for $1.5M, the person paying for it is overpaying for it. Simple.

Cucurella was valued at 50M but Chelsea are paying 62M potentially for him. That is overpaying for him. Even if he is good.
