Anthony Joshua will face Oleksandr Usyk tonight in a bid to exact revenge for his defeat last September.

The heavyweight mega-fight will see Joshua attempt to regain his unified heavyweight world titles from Usyk at the Jeddah Super Dome in Saudi Arabia. Joshua and Usyk haven't fought since their meeting last September in which Joshua was comprehensively outpointed.

Now Joshua has made changes to his game including the addition of new trainer Robert Garcia in a bid to shake things up and get the all-important result. Meanwhile Usyk elected to go home and fight in Ukraine against Russian invasion, but then returned to boxing training to fight in a contracted rematch.

The winner of the fight could help bring Tyson Fury back from retirement in a potential clash for all the belts later this year.

The fights will take place at the Jeddah Super Dome in Saudi Arabia on the evening of August 20.

Ring walks for the main event are set to take place at around 10:30pm UK time despite it being around 12:30am in the early hours of the Sunday morning local time. That is expected to mean a start time of 10.54pm, a familiar time for UK fight fans, even if that means the fight not finishing until close to 2am local time.

Undercard fights are expected to begin at around 6pm on the pay-per-view segment of the card, with preliminary fights including Ben Whittaker on YouTube from just after 3pm.

BOXING legend Mike Tyson revealed how Anthony Joshua can beat Oleksandr Usyk in tonight's rematch.

Tyson told Joe Rogan:
"He’s going to have to wear him down. I mean, he’s not going to outbox this guy. He’s not going to do it. He’s just going to beat him [up].

“Usyk is very hard to hit. He’s an elite amateur boxer. That kind of elite amateur boxer spoils guys like Joshua because there’s too much movement, feints, and all that stuff.
“He can do a lot. That’s why he’s not a lost soul, he can learn a lot, but he’s still learning. That’s why he’s the dangerous Joshua because he’s still learning.

“He can’t just feint. His jabs have to be constantly out there. He has to turn them into something."

Tyson hasn't declared his favourite for this fight yet but knows AJ is in for a tough night.

The Baddest Man on the Planet insists the British star needs to show he learned from last year's loss via unanimous decision.

“It’s gonna be hard to beat Usyk because he’s fast and he outpunched Joshua with his jab. Joshua has to learn to deal with his jab."

This comes after Joshua's new boxing trainer admitted his fighter's preparation has been far from perfect.

Robert Garcia, though, insists that the 32-year-old's training camp was positive.

"He enjoyed the camp, we can’t say everything went perfect because some days weren’t but that is supposed to happen in a training camp.

“We have peaked at the right moment and this is the happiest he has been, so that is the perfect sign.

“There’s never a perfect training camp where every day is good. There were a few days where we had to work on stuff but he listened and corrected things and now he has to go and do it in the ring.”

Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk were in the same room for the final time at Matchroom's gala dinner ahead of their rematch.

Evander Holyfield, Derek Chisora and ex-WWE star Braun Strowman were among the celebrities at the dinner ahead of the fight.

Both fighters appeared relaxed at the gala, choosing to wear casual clothing while the rest dressed to impress.

Heavyweight boxer Chisora dressed head-to-toe in traditional Saudi clothing and was all smiles as he joked with Joshua.

Former heavyweight world champion Holyfield posed alongside Usyk.

Ex-WWE giant Strowman fist bumped AJ and even made the 6ft 6in former champ look small.

Promoter Eddie Hearn has claimed Oleksandr Usyk was hurt in sparring.

Hearn said: “It was a great head-to-head and AJ just said, ‘How’s your body?’ Usyk went, ‘What?’ And AJ said, ‘How’s the body? Are you ready?’

“There’s been stories in sparring. If he did get hurt to the body in sparring, that will stick up there in his mind.”

Deontay Wilder said Anthony Joshua "looks broken" and backed Oleksandr Usyk to win their rematch.

Joshua gets a second crack at the Ukrainian boxing mastermind on Saturday in Saudi Arabia, following defeat last September.

But without the unified belts around AJ's waist, ex-champion Wilder notices the British star is lacking the same aura.

And he backed Usyk, 35, to hand Joshua, 32, another crushing loss.

Wilder, 36, told FightHype: "I'm going with Usyk in this fight. I've said that after that fight and I'm sticking with my word on this one.

"Usyk just looks more confident than ever now and when you look at Joshua he just looks like a different man.

"He looks more broken or something, maybe it's him getting used to not having the titles and now the tables have turned.

"Because sometimes you have something for so long and the tables turn, you've got a chance to get used to that when you were used to something else."

Angel Fernandez is the boxing coach who helped rebuild Anthony Joshua - and it all started after one shock message on Instagram.

AJ recruited Fernandez as an extra set of eyes in camp following his upset loss to Andy Ruiz Jr in 2019.

Together with head coach Rob McCracken and Joby Clayton, they helped mastermind Joshua's revenge mission six months later.

He recaptured the heavyweight throne but two years on and he finds himself in the same spot.

But this time, AJ parted ways with long-time trainer McCracken and assistant Clayton, keeping only Fernandez in the camp.

The Spanish coach is now joined by esteemed American Robert Garcia ahead of Joshua's rematch with Oleksandr Usyk.

The Ukrainian beat Joshua for the belts last September by unanimous decision at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

And WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has offered his advice to Joshua on how to beat "the blown-up middleweight" Usyk.

Joshua will wear heavy-hitting Grant gloves instead of Rival - hinting he could be going for a knockout.

AJ wore Grant gloves for his first fight against Andy Ruiz Jr, which ended in a career-first defeat.

But he has also wore the foam padded gloves in his wins over long-time rival Dillian Whyte and Alexander Povetkin.

Other KO artists such as Gennady Golovkin and Gervonta Davis wear the 'puncher's gloves'.
