Milan out of Onyeka deal! Smh! The club made things difficult. How could you deny a young talent opportunity to play for one of the best team in the world cos of money! Pathetic!!

And what was Pinnick response to this words from Napoli President?
He kept mute and same Napoli stylishly prevented Oshimen from showing up in last afcon and I am so sure with Pinnick as NFF president if afcon is to hold next year January Napoli will still withhold Oshimen and nothing will happen reason because our NFF president only care about himself and ambition not our football... the NFF for him is a means to launch himself in vital offices in CAF and FIFA

Humility I respect your view on Pinnick but you know what ""is our man syndromes"" (he is from my side so i must support him)

Pinnick has done his best, now time for new man and let's see what will happen. As two term NFF president and with what we achieved in the last eight years in football,Pinnick has done more for himself than for the development of the game.

Frank was our best player against Ghana in Abuja beforehegotinjured! Frank always performs well playing for SE.
The issue here is about him playing week in week out.He is good no doubt but need playing time though league just started,so not yet time to rate any player much this season.

AJ just went there to represent. Not the AJ I used to know. No Zeal, Zero Passion.
Usyk is just like Evander Holyfield that came from cruiserweight and dominated heavyweight and beating Mike Tyson twice.AJ cannot beat Usyk and only boxer that can do that now is Tyson Fury....and Fury vs Uszk would be another Lennox Lewis vs Holyfield fight, real boxing.

Thanks egbon for your wise words. The last paragraph summed it up. He lost focus and his inability to balance his ambitions and Nigeria football development became a problem.
He obviously started well with the under 15 grass root project and others but as soon as he starts playing CAF and FIFA politics he lost it. He became afraid to take a stand for NFF and WAFU in other not to twart his ambitions

The zoning of Under 17, under 20, under 23 male and female plus Our Female National Team african nations cup qualifying route won't have happened if he had taken stand. He was a top executive in CAF when that happened but kept mute

I think I need to respond to this before you incite people to blame Pinnick out sheer ignorance.

Pinnick's response to the pre Afcon Osimhen saga is nothing short of impressive and commendable. First when Napoli was parading the injury story, he asked for a medical report that he had not recovered. When Napoli stated that Osimhen had COVID (Which we all knew was a new lie because Osimhen already spilled the truth about the injury recovery on social media). Pinnick wanted to get FIFA to perform an independent COVID. At that point Osimhen had to beg pinnick on phone that he should forget about it. He told pinnick that he was no longer interested in being at the AFCON. Since Osimhen himself had pulled out after threats from Napoli, Pinnick left the case thereafter.

Personally I don't even like Etoo's attitude. He is too controlling and assertive. Napoli's president never said that Anguissa will not play AFCON. He only said he didn't want to sign anymore Africans because of AFCON problems. Why then is Etoo responding? Doesn't he know that he can create unnecessary animosity between Anguissa and the management? He should learn to be diplomatic and not try to dare people at any slightest chance because it is Anguissa and his career alone that will suffer any fallout. 2024 AFCON is still far. He can act when something happens not to be responding unnecessarily.

Before we point fingers at Napoli's president, let's remember that the problem is both sided. No club likes to lose important players during the season.

Milan pulling out of the Onyedika negotiations is paining me more than the two losses yesterday. These small clubs need to be more realistic with their demands. Imagine ruining a young prospect's career over greed. Goddamn!

Unfortunately he has a contract. They can ask for 100m if they wish. Clubs need to be humane however.

Greed, how?

They have a valuation which has to be met. They sold Onyeka for about three times what they requesting for Onyedika.

From the way Milan dragged the De Katelaere deal with Club Brugge, you ought to know they are tough negotiators.

Rodgers isn't that bad of a coach..His problem is that he has always stuck with his philosophy of attacking football whereas he ignores the defensive aspect of the game..That is why all the team he has coached are known for scoring well and conceding well .... IMO, he has done well with Leicester..If no be say Leicester are former EPL champions, they won't raise the bar so high for him..

For your first paragraph I still fault NFF approach. The Napoli board try use almost similiar approach on Anguisa and koulibaly but seeing it won't work they let those ones go. Similiarly watford try same with SARR but the doggedness of Senegalese FA didn't let it fly

Napoli president out burst makes no sense and deserve cautioning by CAF....because if it is allow to stand soon other Seria Clubs will voice out same measure and take such stance. The response from kulabaly and Senegalese coach is apt.

I am inciting anyone against Pinnick but stating my own opinion on how his leadership has underpinned our football growth

It's Calvin Bassey Time: League debut, First Eredivisie Start

And with Perr Schuurs' move to Torino, Bassey dumps the #33 and picks up his favorite #3 Jersey.

So it is Bassey #3 for the 22/23 season. No longer #33.

So Osimhen will likely be the only naija player in top 5 league to score today. The only question is how many goals will he score ?
