Nwakali is our messiah. If only he had played against Ghana, we might be discussing on how to reach the World Cup Semifinals in Qatar.

Oh Nwakali!

You do not need to call his decisions foolish to make your point.

By the way, he is talking of having ball passing midfielders. In your list, there are forwards.

you must be under 17 years old...

I didn't call mostob decisions foolish..

you like putting words in peoples mouths to make your own point...

and if mostob also holds the opinion that players must be playing in the Top 5 leagues before they can get call ups then his decision is foolish...

mostob is talking about Iwobi, Nwakwali and Ndidi in the S.E starting eleven which means they have to be invited then the coach has to start them...

Aribo was a hindrance to Nwakwali's chances at the AFCON an d Eguavoen lack of belief in midfielders and lack of playing possession football caused it. Eguavoen believes having 4 - 6 strikers playing in Top 5 leagues in the starting eleven will win him matches...

I'm sure Basco will appreciate any and every constructive criticism, but saying his channel is not doing well is like an attack on his hard work.

Some Nigerian TV channels have used his clips so his videos are definitely getting noticed.

Ndidi has the work rate but he needs to develop his passing. A deep playing pivot is becoming key if you must play possession football.

You need a deep player that can combine with the defenders to play out of the back. I am seeing potential in Samson Tijani for that role. Ndidi might have to fall to defence but his passing might still prove a liability.

Considering the quality in the players we have, Ndidi will always be needed in midfield.

Ndidi will keep it simple. He is decent at making short passes, which is the most fundamental. This doesn't prevent us from building from deep.

nooooo nwakali will displace all

Ndidi can’t pass the ball to save a life so nwakali should be deployed in that position so he can spray both long and short passes

What is more interesting? You people will be the first to complain about our local scene not growing and first to attack someone doing his best to help push our local football.

BascoVanVeli is beyond criticism. Yes I will repeat it. He is beyond criticism. He is doing a magnificent job. It is tedious, dedicated, committed.

To you the views are not high but to those young men out there, he is creating that little window for them to grow.

I am shocked you can even think of making mockery, instead of showing appreciation.

If not him, I would have been oblivious to a lot of things happening in our local scene.

BascoVanVeli, do not let such talk get to you. Neyo was booed off stage at the Apollo and he ended up a phenom.

Eminem's mixtape was thrown in the garbage by a producer because he felt he was thrash. He became one of the best selling musicians of all time.

Kanye West was rejected by Capital records and wanted only his beats. He became a multiple Grammy award winner.

Do not let anyone deceive you. You are a pride to our football.

It is not just Eguavoen's tactics but his playing style. You can't class Nididi as a playmaking defensive midfielder. It is not every defensive midfielder that can play like Rodri or Busquets

you see your problem... grin grin grin

there is no such thing as a "playmaking defensive midfielder" grin grin grin

DM is DM...

even your FC Barcelona had Iniesta, Xavi and Busquets as the DM..

current Manchester United has Erikson, Fernandez and McTominay or Fred or Casimero as the DM...

what you should say is that Ndidi should try to be more offensive but if Ndidi is more offensive then who will protect the midfield shocked shocked shocked

this is something TheGoodJoe doesn't seem to understand...

Ndidi's should be making short passes to the other midfielders and full backs either Iwobi or Nwakwali or any midfielder playing those roles..

the major point is that there should always be 2 other midfielders on the pitch apart from the DM so that makes it at least 3 midfielders in the starting eleven..

its Eguavoen that has ruined TheGoodJoe's psych because Eguavoen will play only 1 midfielder or at best 2 midfielders then 4 or 5 attackers... so there was no one dropping deep to the midfield for Ndidi to pass to so Ndidi had to make passes that the oppositions will end up intercepting and winning...

No Bro. You are very wrong. It is the same with defenders. Not all players are naturally built for the passing game. It is just like Vincent Kompany. He is a pass master. Fernandinho, pulls passing stats like creative midfielder. That is why Manchester United is going for Casemiro. He has good dictation play.

It is just like saying Goal keepers are the same. Guardiola let Joe Hart go because he is not good with his feet.

I believe Busquets has a faster passing instinct than Iniesta, Xavi and Messi. His brain just ticks fast. It is not the same as putting Ngolo Kante in Defensive midfield.

Today, possessive coaches like Defensive midfielders that can contribute as Pivots in passing and build up play. It is now critical.

It is okay now, more like manageable. Did you watch Manchester City vs Newcastle? That was one hell of the fiercest pressing I have seen. That was Rodri and he literally found it difficult to build play. Rodri is one of the best in the World.

Now think of having someone like Ndidi in such system. It will prove Catastrophic. Ndidi needs to work on his passing and movement game.

That is why top clubs are overlooking him. When they check his passing stats, they don't stand out.

Kompany had younger De Bruyne, nasri, David Silva, fernandinho , Yaya Toure in midfield... All he had to do was pass to either Toure or Fernandinho or any of the defenders that drop deep...

How can you saying DM is DM? That is like saying Keeper is Keeper. That Guardiola should have stuck with Joe Hart. It does not work that way. You are very wrong there.

Why do you think Ten Hag is fighting for Frenkie De Jong? Based on your ideology, CM is CM.

There is what is called passing instinct. Take time to watch Declan Rice play. He does not have Nasri and David Silva by him but boy his brain is fast.

You might want to feel correct but you are missing the basics of football if you think we all play the same way.

Watch some more footie. Watch Malacia and watch his thinking pattern. Watch Zinchenko. Watch Kimmich. You will see guys that think outside the box of football.

After Declan Rice display against Chelsea, Tuchel rushed to him to express how impressed he was with his performance. PIC 1.

Pic 2 is Erik Ten Hag's reaction when he first watched Malacia play against him. He told one of his Assistants, former Ajax player Reiziger to take note of Malacia and met him after the game. Today, they are together in Manchester United.

Good passing technique is a fundamental aspect of playmaking.
It is very clear that Ndidi is not a playmaker. He is a destroyer.

You talk about high pressing, questioning Ndidi's ability to cope. Do you believe Ndidi lacks the composure to cope with high press, have you seen situations like that? if you have, you can cite such.

What aspects of Ndidi's movements needs improvements, because a player's movement will depends on the team's phases of play.

These things comes with a natural ability but can be built. It takes a more reactive approach or dictating play with simple and long passes.

It takes seeing spaces and exploring it with passes. I has a lot with opening for passes. Taking control than destroying.

It is difficult to explain. You need to watch Kompany in defense and watch his decision making to understand. Watch Rodri and you will marvel of why he thought to make a particular decision.

Ndidi does not play that way and needs to build on it if he needs to become an elite.
