Like what? They're Arabs, they have unlimited money.

Nobody has unlimited money, Saudi Arabia was in distress when crude oil fell to $25 per barrel.

were united midtable.. ? There's no free money, they will collect back that money, 1 way or the other.. even with all this city isn't as valuable as united.. meaning they haven't achieved their goal yet.

Like the Glazers won't still collect money when they sell United.. I wish they sell and GTFO.

They are terrible owners, no fan would care if they did put structures in place at United and still collect their yearly dividends, nobody will care. The club is rudderless as a big football entity, that is why a huge percentage of the fan base is against those Jewish con men.

Arab and Qatar owners don't care about making money or profits from their clubs. They are only buying clubs for sportwashing.
Fans hailing Jim Ratcliffe like British aren't 1 of the stingiest people on earth.. is Newcastle former owner not British, and refused to spend.. American owners spend, dey just spend enough to remain at the top, not total dominance.. rather people should complain about allowing Arab owners own football clubs, than expecting every club to spend like them, people who just have free money to throw..

City isn't United.. If you buy a small team, you'll need more investment to make it big, than buying a bigger team at the top.. City didn't spend much(net spend) in this window, because dey have a good team, but a bad team will need more investment..

Begs to ask, whose case are you making?

Building a midtable team to top level, and maintaining a near perfect top level team without any financial issues, which is more difficult?

If Ronaldo starts on the bench again on Saturday then the message is clear and obvious from Ten hagg.

We have to get De Jong and Antony this window. We really must get them and sell Elanga, McTom and Garner to possible Suitors before the window closes.

No loan moves..... outright sales!

have you watched gakpo.. the guy isn't that better than elanga.. man united isn't a place to develop talent. The guy should go to a Southampton or Brighton first. He has no flair to his game and can only beat his Man with pace.. he prefers the lw like rashford.. true is you don't need 6 extremely good attackers, Liverpool don't have that, city don't have that.. you're going to have bunch of unhappy players, especially if 1 team is winning.

You can always tweak formation if an injury crisis.. even bruno and eriksen, can play wing

In the past couple of seasons, City had Sterling and Foden for the LW, Mahrez and Silva for the RW...It was only last season that Silva started playing centrally as a CM/AM

Let me show you the options Liverpool have in attack...

LWF - Diaz/Jota/Carvalho

CF - Nunez/Jota/Firmino

RWF - Salah/Jota/Elliot

Bar Jota, they have two good alternatives for each position...

For City...

LWF - Foden/Grealish

CF - Haaland/Alvarez

RWF - Mahrez/Silva

Spurs have...

LWF - Son/Richarlison

CF - Kane/Richarlison

RWF - Kulusevski/Moura

They're still chasing Adama Traore

It's funny that all of a sudden you feel we are one player away from being okay in attack...We need at least two wingers of which one has to be adept at playing as a CF...

Elanga, Garnacho, Amad and Pellestri are not ready yet...The talent is there but bar Elanga none of them have played enough first team games for us to count on them at this stage. The idea is for them to have a breakout season should we be hit with an injury crisis and not to plan with them at the centre of things or thereabout at this stage of the season...

Exactly. This particular City's owner and his group wants to dominate football starting with England and they've started. City won all the league titles from all age grades in England last season. They also own other clubs that are also doing well in other leagues.

They and the Glazer's bought their respective clubs with different motives in mind.

After watching FDJ yesterday, I think he'll do very well at Man Utd. But there's no need begging him if he has made up his mind to stay.

Rashford-Martial-Sancho Frontline looks the best for now until subsequent matches prove otherwise. The energy Martial brings to the attack is unrivaled. His energetic pressing brought about the 2nd goal vs Liverpool.

you mentioned players that can play different position in the attack.. bruno and eriksen, even sancho martial rashford can play on the left.. rashford martial even bruno can play forward as a false 9. Sancho and Antony can play on the left.. unless you're signing someone to start, we don't need gakpo..

Jota can play across, meaning he can replace anyone in the forward line for injuries or rotation.. in reality Liverpool attackers are nunez, firmino, salah, Jota, and diaz.. elliot don't see games as lw unless in dead rubber games.. or carabao Cup..

you can't have 2 starting caliber wingers in 1 position and think they'll stay, there's a reason sterling left City even jesus.. they will want to start, and eventually leave.

Did you take your time to look at the Liverpool sqaud? City? Spurs?

Does the quality not ring a bell? How many attackers in our team will start for those clubs?

Even Ronaldo should not be relied upon if we are serious about making sustainable progress...The Elanga, Amad and Garnacho we are talking about are not even as good as their City and Liverpool counterparts...

Gakpo or any player of his caliber will bid his time even though they can easily start if the coach decides...

The focus shouldn't be on Gakpo, the point is that we need a LWF to compete with Rashford. I don't think Elanga is that play neither do I think Garnacho is ready to start every game now...

On the right wing, it's the same thing, Amad and Pellestri can't compete with Sancho so we had better sign a player is up to the task else Sancho and Rashford will see themselves as untouchables as there's little or no competition for their places...

They have plenty of cash and assets, but you are forgetting the other side, LIABILITIES they have liabilities too, so thier money is not unlimited.

Let me correct some misconceptions about ownership of football clubs.

At £3 or £4 billion level nobody buys with cash, they all pay with bank loans or hybrid (loan and cash)

Unlike what the Man utd owners did by putting the loan directly in books of United, owners of other clubs create holding companies and put the loan there

Football club owners DONT dash clubs money, they either inject money by increasing the capital base or lend the club money

The difference between what the owners of United are doing compared to other clubs is that they are getting what is due to them (dividend) now instead of postponing it till later.

The other club owners will also get what is due to them at a future date or when they decide to sell the club.

It is just different accounting models employed, basically the operations are same. Nobody is dashing thier clubs free money. And yes they where all bought with debt, they just recorded the debts in different accounts.

Finally, someone that gets it. I have done this 1 million times. I even gave them some examples (Chelsea and Arsenal). Chelsea had a holding company that had close to 1 billion in loans owed on behalf of the club. Arsenal also had the same structure at some point. As of today, Chelsea has close to 800m debt because of the takeover by the new consortium.

Every major acquisition can’t be done with cash, it’s usually with debt, and the structure will determine where the debt sits. Also, every owner don’t invest directly, they use future cash flows of the club to borrow. When they borrow, they either put the loan directly in the clubs books or in a holding company. City’s holding company raised 650m debt last year to buy players and sort out some operating expenses, but then man utd fans will come tell you that the owners are giving the club cash.

Chelsea was owing its holding company 1 billion before the takeover. They had to factor it into the acquisition before transaction close. There is no free money anywhere!

People will come here and just be talking.

The Sheiks met City as a mid table. They spent bastard money to get them to the top- not to mention appointing competent staff in different departments. And when they got to the top, they continued spending money so that they can remain on top.

The Glazers met United on top. They fidnt spend money on the club to cement its top status. Instead they took money out of it. Even worse, they appointed incompetent useless staff in important positions.

Once they turned United into a mid table team, they started throwing money at the problem anyhow. If fans didn’t protest, the Casemiro deal will not materialize.

Spent money my azz

Was the valuation of Man city a mid club and Man Utd a top club the same when they were bought?

It's like Zenith bank vs ABC microfinance valuation
