Its the way the whites want it, have you asked yourself of the millions spent on developmental projects in the last 50 years all over africa, what came of it? Nothing.

They want our children to go over there and slave for them , they have to make here look like hell so that our children can go over there and never return. Its too bad people here dont care.

You still write like a black slave, what's all Canada this or that. Qualifying next year even for Canadian citizenship means nothing. It can only excite a dumb, poor and corpse washing black monkey like u who cowardly fled his homeland to wash corpse in a foreign land. I can't particularly see what should make you proud. Reason it yourself, how can u be proud of what another humans(the Whites) whom God also made u equal with them. You're a slave and a slave takes delight in his slavery. Continue washing corpse, it's well with your soul black monkey, I do hope the Whites do throw some banana to u on the flow to lick and get excited as the slave monkey that you are.
I share your sentiment about thinking critically about the whole 'japa' craze, BUT the way you lash out at others who don't share this your view, is pathetic and appalling. Ednut had not said anything insulting or condescending to you. Why be so uncivil? You are not responsible for him in Canada, and weren't responsible for him while he was here. You owe him an apology, if you still have one civil bone in you. Gosh!

People move for security, food, education and all. Israelites moved. Jesus and his family were illegal immigrants in Egypt. Europeans moved.. How do they own countries like Canada, US, Australia? Irish moved. Italians moved.
Pls go where you’re celebrated and appreciated. Tinubu has homes in London, France, NYC, Chicago
Atiku has homes in US and Dubai.
Peter Obi has home in UK and business franchises in N/America.
Pls move now. Trump is coming back and will rally oyibo leaders to be anti immigration again. Trump’s mom moved from Scotland to US. Good luck

His reason and Nigerians reasons are very different. He has options, Nigerians are running out of desperation, but you already know that.

Some white people live in the same country and still have wack relationship with their families. Nigerians try to maintain relationship with their families when they travel. Nigerians dey try abeg. If you look at it again, this life is everybody on their own. Make what you can and leave the rest. Technology has also made it easy to stay connected.
Home is where you make it, not necessarily when you come back to Nigeria.

I mean families are being separated daily due to economic migration from Nigeria to overseas because the country isn't working.

They're many lonely wives separated from their husbands who work abroad

Brothers are separated from their brothers and sisters because they've gone to seek for greener pastures

Some parents haven't seen their children for years because they've gone for greener pastures

You don't see Americans, British or Dutch people separating from their families just to work in Africa.

Why is everything the opposite for Africans.

Funny a thing the black Africans count it as an achievement to migrate to a white man's country and abandoning his own root to rot away.

Was the black man created on a sunny day?

Europeans and Americans may not come to Africa in droves but they sure go elsewhere. Those guys travel pass us. Forget!

There are Americans, dutch ,indians, chinese etc all over the world who don't go to their home countries regularly. I once stayed in the guest house of a client in port harcourt and met a mexican man there. He has not been to Mexico in 7 years and has even been kidnapped once in Nigeria. But he no go back because he is earning good as an expat here. So whats the big deal if Nigerians do same What is the point of seeing your families or wife when una dey suffer or facing uncertain future ehn A man who can’t provide for his family wont have a family for long. Less than 5% of Nigerians are outside Nigeria too
After seven year, did you see or hear him talk about Nigerian passport or becoming a citizen?
You won't understand.

The funny thing is that they don't become rich there. They are just average. Not many of them can own a house. They can't even afford to pay to bring their family all together for holidays in Nigeria. Very rich people here don't go there to live there. They go and come back home. You can't be rich in another man's land. You can't be richer than the natives. It's an algorithm that was designed to be so.
Yes I agree they are average.... But comfortable! They can enjoy the little pleasures of life that are fast becoming a luxury in naija. But here if u are not the friend, family, cronies, girlfriend, sidechick, loyalist, associate, partners and what have you of politicians, the system will not allow you to live a reasonable life.

Honest truth
The day we accepted the whites are superior and decided to forsake our culture/traditions/religion to embrace thier religion, the beginning of our retrogression.

go to ilupeju there are thousands of indians, go to ph and lagos there are many whites there. Nigerians are not even among the top 10 emigrants in the world. People like you want them to stay in Nigeria and suffer with you ba lol

I don't think this is a smart calculation. You should get the population of those countries and ratio it with this one for you to appreciate the mass exodus. The Population of India is in billion. Other countries on that list also have large population.

Keep deceiving yourself. Ultra wealthy Nigerians in Naija should be compared with Ultra wealthy South Africans in S/African. You should be comparing a Nigerian medical doctor in Naija vs a Naija medical in doctor in US/UK. An accountant in Naija vs Accountant in UK/US
Wait till you get sick.. it will cost N100k/session 3x a week for a dialysis like Ekweremadus. It will cost N16m /yr to be on dialysis. Are you richer than Tinubus, Ekweremadus, Buharis… they all have oyibo medical treatment plan. Are you more educated than them.. their kids all school abroad

It really scares me more to think about this upcoming 2023 general elections, the number of people that will likely have to leave this country will be massive if we don't get it right.
The good thing is that we have a good option to get it right.

Peter Obi seems to be the best choice if we don't want mass exodus from this country.
All of them na same..... You see them doing what they dont do before election time

Your thread has a nice topic to debate on but from your responses you sound too bitter and insulting, everyone must not have your perspective. That you're a professional and earning good money doesn't mean every other person is. You are lucky and should be grateful instead of insulting people's endeavor to survive this harsh environment. Try and tone down your response.
Peace.

It seems like only the rich man is comfortable in Nigeria, even with the problems, because they don't usually emigrate from Nigeria.

The emigration from Nigeria is usually done by the middle class and a small percentage of poor people from Nigeria.

Southern Nigerians make up about 95% of Nigerians experiencing this.
Fulani people move down south to occupy the places left by the southern emigrants. They prepare Nigeria for an Islamic Republic to be governed with Islamic Sharia criminal laws.
