Tunjibalogun: Irrelevant Nigerians !!!! Partner, sometimes we use adjectives without thinking it through. Kindly explain to me what made someone irrelevant just because that person exercises their God-given right in their pursuit of happiness wherever they can find it. I left Nigeria when I was 19. Today, after having obtained my Undergraduate degree and master from the University of Michigan in Engineering and Information Technology. I work from my own fully paid-for house here in South Florida designing and writing web-based B2B applications for fortune 50 companies. I live with my wife, and our two sons have graduated from college and living on their own. Kindly tell me how am I an irrelevant Nigerian. By the way, I am a Yoruba man just like you. 10 Likes 1 Share |

I think everyone is entitled to their opinions and have their life to live, it's up to the individual to choose what Kind of environment meet their aspirations. Since many are becoming western, it's up to us to find a balance with our culture and to improve our society. Rather than complaining, why not come together to see how everyone can add value to society, why not listen to people and give them the chance to grow. Pretending its just a phase is harmful. It's good to travel and to learn different cultures, and to see how developed nations work, just isolating oneself in Nigeria, means one remains as they are even mentally. And you know how sick people become when they are in one place with a lot of stupid thinking. Let more people travel out abeg, so they can be ashamed of themselves and their abnomalities Go and see how sane people are living, at least you will hide the shame on the inside |

Tunjibalogun:Sometimes draw back from making gullible comments and conclusion. So workers in oil companies, bank mangers, software engineers and majority paying millions are "poor" , right? One thing I've noticed is that people that have never traveled out or are low on sufficient knowledge are the ones downplaying people who are planning to travel out. You need enlightenment. Stay if you want to, but migration is a global thing that only "educated" people will be able to comprehend. That's stated unapologetically 5 Likes |

I want to ask, are Nigerian not being separated by insecurity already? Realistically, travelling by road on our highways in the country is a high risk. Travelling by railway is not viable, travelling by our has suddenly been blown out of reach of an average income earning Nigerian. We are simply at the mercy of our rich western counterparts because while their leaders regardless of religion rule with conscience and put the interest of their citizens into high consideration, our own leaders in Africa sees position of leadership as a means of enriching themselves and cronies through looting our commonwealth. When you are asking why are our people migrating at an alarming rate, were you not in this country when a governor took the next cab to the airport to japa to abroad while the ceremony of his handling over to his successor is still ongoing? You should rather be asking, why do our leaders take virtually all business meetings abroad, why do our leaders at the slightest headaches takes the next flight abroad for medical treatment, left alone, holiday and other social activities. They only sees the position of leadership as an avenue to milk our country of its resources and go and spend them in the system they believe and trust in. So as long as our leaders keep bulldozing themselves into power and running our nation aground as been currently witnessed, they only alternative for people who can afford will be to migrate from the country 1 Like 1 Share |

I wish I saw this on time so I can leave a comment on front page. Have you ever wondered why the church teaches you that your ancestors are the evil behind your problems but the white man ancestors are great men whom they worship. Why are there no educational materials in any African language but Asians Europeans and Americans learn in school in their own language. Why do our leaders steal and go spend the loot in a white mans country. Why would you as an African believe Arabic language is superior to your language and that God would only answer your prayer if you pray in some foreign language. If the white man's believe in God and that all things created are equal why did they take us as slaves and give us religion they had and didn't follow to destabilise our culture? You see people killing their kinsmen for some Mohamed they don't know. It's pure stupidity. |

Evolutionlove: I honestly dont know... listen to people like that at your own peril... Naija is cursed , infact west Africa is and there is no going back.... Why wouldn't folks give testimony when they get visa, getting a visa with a Nigerian passport is literally one of the most difficult things to do... in a country that it economy has completely collapsed, and someone got a visa to escape the hell, they are complaining?? Such wicked demons... they are talking about family splitting, as if the family of folks who are currently in naija ain't already splitting apart... imagine not being able to provide for your family?? Wouldn't it split or the naija wicked factor kills you, wouldn't that family move on and your wife take another husband?? Who doesn't want enjoyment?? Who doesn't want to live in a place where your hustle pays?? I live in Barbados, a country with population of around 280k people, you hardly see anyone here leaving.. they go to new york, toronto ,london etc and in a few months they back home...our economy is good...hardly does anyone want to "japa", most countries in the world, they have Visa free or visa on arrival access to.... so no need for massive jubilation when they are traveling... its strange but in Naija, we are escaping hell, a rare opportunity, so there is massive jubilation and testimony.... Nigeria is a whole big mess.. If I dont leave sef, my family fit swear for me...hahhahaha... funny thing is, most of them folks that are complaining that Nigerians are leaving , are children of politicans and those that destroyed the system... I dey chop belleful, I get light 24/7... nothing dey shake me...glory to my Lord Jesus 3 Likes 1 Share |

Tunjibalogun: Lol. You're wrong in this aspect. There are lots of expats leaving their families and coming to work here and even establish businesses in Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania etc because it favours them very well. I worked in a law firm that deals with lots of expatriates and I was opportuned to see how their Residence permit, Business permit etc are processed and these are Americans, Brits and Dutch people. For foreign investors in Nigeria, they enjoy lots of benefits including 1.Tax reliefs. 2. Pioneer status (eg. A company involved in manufacturing pioneer products is exempted from payment of taxes for 3years and may be extended for additional 2years if needed). 3. Tax reliefs on foreign loans. 4. Repatriation of all 100% capital imported without seizure is guaranteed to foreign investors. Why do you think the Lebanese, Chinese, Pakistans, Americans and a host of others like investing in Nigeria? You should think twice again. 3 Likes 3 Shares |

Sometimes you have to be in a shoe to know where it pinches. Life is hard in Nigeria. The Naira doesn’t have value and nothing is been done about it. Yes it not great but would you rather be in a Nigeria been miserable and almost useless because you can barely feed cos of the cost of living and watch you be running a rat race to feed your children or you can go outside and be of more value to your family even if it come at the cost of not being with your family. I think I choose the latter. Whatever y’all might think it’s better than using someone for money rituals. Ps Stay in the country where the elites are taking all the opportunities from the common man and keep giving yourself hope that it will be better. |

Tunjibalogun: Good question for the designers and leaders of this country. But do they care as long as they siphon money to hop all over the world at the expense of the tax-payers and peasants of the country? But God will judge them as they sleep their last, their video of life will be played for them, chickena! |
