Is because the situation of the country bad..the economy is bad.. poverty, hunger ,hardship, unemployment,, high cost of living, high cost of food stuffs...no much hope in nigeria... people do not forsee a bright future in nigeria for themselves and their children...see students at home for many months due to ASUU strike...no hope for the youths and students...so that is why many nigerians, youths travel to abroad to seek grenner pastures in order to have a better life over there....our politcians here do not care for the common man and nigerians...they just care for themselves

I will just read on it.
This is a good intro on wikipedia.

Hamites is the name formerly used for some Northern and Horn of Africa peoples in the context of a now-outdated model of dividing humanity into different races which was developed originally by Europeans in support of colonialism and slavery.[1][2][3][4] The term was originally borrowed from the Book of Genesis, where it is used for the descendants of Ham, son of Noah.

The term was originally used in contrast to the other two proposed divisions of mankind based on the story of Noah: Semites and Japhetites. The appellation Hamitic was applied to the Berber, Cushitic, and Egyptian branches of the Afroasiatic language family, which, together with the Semitic branch, was thus formerly labelled "Hamito-Semitic".[5] However, since the three Hamitic branches have not been shown to form an exclusive (monophyletic) phylogenetic unit of their own, separate from other Afroasiatic languages, linguists no longer use the term in this sense. Each of these branches is instead now regarded as an independent subgroup of the larger Afroasiatic family.[6]

Beginning in the 19th century, scholars generally classified the Hamitic race as a subgroup of the Caucasian race, alongside the Aryan race and the Semitic[7][8] – thus grouping the non-Semitic populations native to North Africa and the Horn of Africa, including the Ancient Egyptians.[4] According to the Hamitic theory, this "Hamitic race" was superior to or more advanced than the "Negroid" populations of Sub-Saharan Africa. In its most extreme form, in the writings of C. G. Seligman, this theory asserted that virtually all significant achievements in African history were the work of "Hamites".

Since the 1960s the Hamitic hypothesis, along with other theories of "race science", has become entirely discredited in science.[9]: 10

Bro, Point of Correction...
AMERICANS, EUROPEANS & ASIANS live everywhere.
In Fact, some of these people haven't seen their siblings for almost a Generation!
There are Americans who have lived all their lives in Africa and Europe!

So, it's not alien to Nigerians.

The interpretation of the curse of HAM changed when they saw the pyramids in Egypt, could be why they were surprised when they saw the ancient Kingdoms in Benin and other places.

Wikipedia:
During the Middle Ages, Jews and Christians considered Ham to be the ancestor of all Africans. Noah's curse on Canaan as described in Genesis began to be interpreted by some theologians as having caused visible racial characteristics in all of Ham's offspring, notably black skin. In a passage unrelated to the curse on Canaan, the sixth-century Babylonian Talmud says that Ham and his descendants were cursed with black skin, which modern scholars have interpreted as an etiological myth for skin color. [8][11]: 522  Later, Western and Islamic traders and slave owners used the concept of the "Curse of Ham" to justify the enslaving of Africans.[12][8]: 522 [11]

A significant change in Western views on Africans came about when Napoleon's 1798 invasion of Egypt drew attention to the impressive achievements of Ancient Egypt, which could hardly be reconciled with the theory of Africans being inferior or cursed. In consequence, some 19th century theologians emphasized that the biblical Noah restricted his curse to the offspring of Ham's youngest son Canaan, while Ham's son Mizraim, the ancestor of the Egyptians, was not cursed.[

Re: Why Is No One Talking About This In Nigeria by SeriouslySense(m): 5:34pm On Aug 25, 2022
This is why they had to reclassify the Egyptians as white.

Constructing the "Hamitic race"

Languages of pastoralist Bedouins such as the Beja were the model for the conflation of ethnic and linguistic evidence in the construction of Hamitic identity.
Following the Age of Enlightenment, many Western scholars were no longer satisfied with the biblical account of the early history of mankind, but started to develop faith-independent theories. These theories were developed in a historical situation where most Western nations were still profiting from the enslavement of Africans.[8]: 524  In this context, many of the works published on Egypt after Napoleon's expedition "seemed to have had as their main purpose an attempt to prove in some way that the Egyptians were not Negroes",[8]: 525  thus separating the high civilization of Ancient Egypt from what they wanted to see as an inferior race. Authors such as W. G. Browne, whose Travels in Africa, Egypt and Syria was published in 1806, laid the "seeds for the new Hamitic myth that was to emerge in the very near future", insisting that the Egyptians were white.[8]: 5

Diaspora Nigerian were rushing to come back home before the advent of this APC party.

There were massive reverse migrations to Nigeria. Many people came to establish businesses that employed thousands of youths. These happened specifically between 2001 - 2014.

All these were destroyed by APC.
Families have been destroyed. People's livelihoods have been completely wiped off. Couples divorcing everyday because of economic hardship. Teenage girls are openly embracing prostitution to survive. Teenage boys are openly scamming people, killing people to remove their body parts. And these are happening at alarming proportion. Able bodies men have lost confidence in themselves because of piles and piles of debt. People are daily taking their own lives.

Nigerians have been traveling for many years, but Nigerians have always had hope. Now, even people traveling do not have any hope where they are traveling to. They are just going there try their luck.

APC is the cause of the destruction of this society. The earlier you people admit this simple fact the better.

If APC is allowed to be rigged again in the coming elections it would appear that Nigerians are not humans. Even in nature, all organism run away from danger. No organism in nature embraces calamity.

APC is calamity. APC is evil.

Help me solve this puzzle

There are two things which is unique about Nigerians and Africans in general which is a hindrance to us.
1) Religion
2) The inability to tell an elder to Bleep off.

Religion is not making Nigeria people think straight and hence can't solve your problems. You watch an interview of Nigerian football you want to gain more insight on how they won the match and you will hear " we thank God o"
Considering the fact that Yoruba culture for example is practiced in other African countries, Cuba, Brazil, USA, Trinidad and Tobago and we have abandoned it, do we honestly think our ancestors will be happy with us?

Nigerian are more Christians than the European and more Islamic than the Arabs. It is a Nigerian that you will see preaching in Peckham where the white people will be thinking he is a mad man .I have been to schools with Arabs girls and very few of them wear the hijab. When I see Nigerians and African girls wearing such outfits they look like clones out of the factory. It is not our culture.

We also respect people too much but forget that people are not saints. People act in their own self interest and will take advantage when they can. That is why we have all those elders trying to rule the country because no one has the gut to tell them to Bleep off.

Lets talk about corruption. Must be one of Nigerians favourite or most used English word but you do not understand it!

You expect a rational human being to want more than less. If I offer to give you one million naira or one thousand naira, I expect most rational human being to say they want the one million.

We have people like Dangote , Otedola and Adenuga who are billionaire. They are not saying I am now a billionaire, I am going to my village to retire. No! They are working to make more!

If we build a one bedroom house, we are not satisfied with that, we want to build a 4 bedroom house next, You buy a Toyota, you want a Mercedes next.

Now tell me considering those three points given above if you are working in a position where you can freely take 9 billion naira and no one will detect it (at least not at first) then what is stopping you?

Nigerian Solution - Look for a Saint. This one will not steal. Peter Obi obident, Buhari will not steal. I am telling you if you find someone under the current infrastructure working as a politician that does not steal money, then you have succeeded in finding an idiot! He can never perform . Maybe that explains Buhari performance. Why wouldn't you steal when you can? We want someone normal, someone active.

UK Solution - I used to work in a Bank some years ago, counting ATM money from various locations making sure the cash balance.
The bank at first check my credit history. As they understand that I am a human being and if I have debt and working with money I am most likely going to steal their money. They didn't go to the church or mosque to recruit me. If I had a bad credit score they wouldn't give me the job.

There was a camera on top of my head, watching as I was counting the money. At the end of the day we had to balance and count the number of empty bags the cash in. the working hours was around 3pm to 10pm, but if we all finish counting at 3:30pm they let us all go home because they understand we are human beings and do not wants us hanging around money.

So why didn't I steal money? Because I understand the consequences. The controls put in place. The accountability and transparency. Sometimes when I send money home to my people back home they is no money for lunch until next pay day. Before I go out for lunch my hands has counted between half a million to a million pounds, but still I can't take £3 out of that to buy lunch.

Now election is coming and people are focusing on personalities and not the policies that will make about the necessary change. The young have adopted Peter Obi think he is the saviour. But one question is the Labour Party linked in anyway to the trade unions and if so how is Peter Obi expected to do anything considering the fact the trade unions act for their own interest and not the interest of the country. Of course Tinubu is old and is health is questionable, but if this guy is indeed responsible for the success of Lagos, then what are you looking for? I have also seen some of Atiku's policies and they seem to be great if they are indeed implemented.

If you are living in a house with other tenants and you wake up one morning to find that the roof is leaking in the passage. It shouldn't be too difficult for all to come to a consensus that the solution is to fix the roof. Some will have the money to contribute to fix it but some will not. Just because you don't have money does mean that the solution is not to fix the roof. That is is the problem we have now with the trade unions and all those other activists' that have never done a decent job in their life. I remember the Naijaryders days when I argued for the remover of subsidies that was almost 15 years ago. Nothing done since then and the problem still remains.

What Nigerians need to do now is to wait for the manifesto and choose the candidate that will really make the changes that Nigeria need, but if you think this one or that one won't steal money, then go ahead and choose and I will be back to remind you in 4/ 8 years time.

Muslim/ Muslim ticket lol. You are very hungry , someone serve you a food but you are complaining about the plate. A Nigerian lady was only a few step of becoming British prime minster and you are talking about Muslim/ Muslim ticket. God help Nigeria. Nigerians problem is not just the government. It is also about the people!

Policies and not Personality!

And yes, the real poor too dey japa o. Many Tailors, Mechanics, Tricycle riders, etc don dey japa too. Though it is mostly to places like Dubai, Kuwait, Poland, etc.

The same way poor pay dey save money to build houses is how they save to japa. And that's how you'll see people coming here to ask which foreign place #2m or so can take them.
Sir! If you can save 2M, you aren't poor. What's the percentage of average Nigerian that can save 2M?

Because you are a tailor, plumber or any of the blue collar job doesn't make you poor sir.

I know a very rich tailor, he caters to the high end clientele. My point is, you can't tell me a person who can save 2M is poor in Nigeria.

The funny thing is that they don't become rich there. They are just average. Not many of them can own a house. You can't be rich in another man's land. You can't be richer than the natives. It's an algorithm that was designed to be so.
People have always migrated and will always do.Even the people in best countries move.To each his own.You aren't the one to judge that someone is living an average life because he is abroad. What is an average life abroad and what is an average life in Nigeria, please tell me?Lets even leave the economy, most places in Nigeria are dirty.More like a jungle.Fillth everywhere. Is that normal?Big potholes everywhere which gets covered during rains and cars get stuck. You now see people pushing cars inside dirty muddy water.
