aragbaboy: I don't know of anyone who has got theirs earlier. I know some people who applied since April, May, and June and still have not received theirs. Even with priority, as I learnt recently. It's a nail-biting waiting game. |

Lexusgs430: Austerity measures must be personalised by individuals and families in all forms in order to survive and have some change left as savings. This reminds me of when BritishGas was playing funny with me. A flat on gas heater and boiler, their rep when setting up my account said fixed tariff is £170 but because of what I don’t know, he said he would put me on £83 / month. I accepted, thinking it was a good deal, only for me to take stock of all appliances in the house to know which uses what and realise I was being scammed. Meanwhile, direct debit had only gone out for a month. I decided to call and renegotiate the tariff, the rep had a ‘slip of tongue’ and said my bill of £10 for the month had already been posted by mail (which I didn’t receive because it was not sent) - and they already collected £83 via DD To cut the story short, tariff was changed and balance remained after deducting £10 from the £83 All in all, bills amount to about £100/month - electricity taking the bulk |

Does any one have idea about affordable places to stay outside London for someone schooling in University of Greenwich? Even if it's a bit far from London, i just want somewhere cheaper than London. |

seunoj: Hello guys, My course end date is Jan 2024 but I have gotten a full time job in care and they are ready to sponsor me. My question is on switching from tier 4 student visa to skilled worker visa (health and care worker visa). - Can I switch my visa from tier 4 to tier 2 without completing my course? - Do I have to complete my first year fees or all my fees before applying for this visa? - I have only stayed in the UK for 7months, do I need to have proof of funds? - Do I also need to pay the health surcharge? @seunoj please can I get your contact email address if you don’t mind. Thanks for the help guys. |

Timitempah: U can switch your visa anytime. Infact, the earlier the better as ur 5years start counting when u switch. Not sure about this. Once u switch, u can discuss with school on the way forward. Or discuss before the switch. This area get as e be. Yes. You need pOF £1,270 (30 days) except ur employer indicates that they are providing financial support in your cos. Healthcare worker visa do not pay ihs. You can check your status on the gov.uk site. It will simulate the cost of ihs (if any) for ur visa category. 1 Like |
