What if Obi fail to deliver.

By his promise and performance in Anambra, his antecedents are not as impressive as many wants us to believe.

I pray Obi wins and many of his supporters will realize the truth.

Buhari deceived many "change" this same way.

I ask where is the concrete evidence that Peter Obi will deliver?

By the way, I do not think Tinubu or Atiku should be our next president.

I wish the youths can pick and promote one of the relatively young but unknown fresh presidential candidates.

Obi is part of the establishments. He is not radically different from the rest. Top 4 candidates.

I can feel your fears and doubts, honestly you're not alone in this but when you look at things the way it stands now.

Obi holds the most optimistic potential amongst the other candidates.

You've just echoed my thoughts and situation right now. I feel like lost child and a total stranger where I am presently. That feeling of nostalgia and home longing comes up, every now and then. But wetin man go do. The irony of the situation is that, staying in Naija has become so unpalatable , the economic prospects are so far fetched, there's constant insecurity and electricity problems. I'd wished things didn't turn out this way.
Tunjibalogun:
I mean families are being separated daily due to economic migration from Nigeria to overseas because the country isn't working.

They're many lonely wives separated from their husbands who work abroad

Brothers are separated from their brothers and sisters because they've gone to seek for greener pastures

Some parents haven't seen their children for years because they've gone for greener pastures

You don't see Americans, British or Dutch people separating from their families just to work in Africa.

Why is everything the opposite for Africans.

Funny a thing the black Africans count it as an achievement to migrate to a white man's country and abandoning his own root to rot away.

Was the black man created on a sunny day?

Help me solve this puzzle

It's the sad reality in which we have used our own hands to dig. If Africans want Africa to work, it will work. Especially Nigeria. Many Nigerians are selfish, greedy and wicked, all they think about is themselves alone. Forgetting that no one person can fix this nation. It must be a collective effort. But what would we rather do, we will rather chicken out for greener pastures, leaving the country behind for who exactly. So much brain drain going on in the country. It's such a sad reality. Nigerians are now looking for money. It's that bad that many Nigerians can borrow money and travel with hope of repaying the money when they do odd jobs abroad. Unless you are a citizen, the black man will always remain a second class citizen in the land of the whites.

Irrelevant Nigerians !!!! Partner, sometimes we use adjectives without thinking it through. Kindly explain to me what made someone irrelevant just because that person exercises their God-given right in their pursuit of happiness wherever they can find it. I left Nigeria when I was 19. Today, after having obtained my Undergraduate degree and master from the University of Michigan in Engineering and Information Technology. I work from my own fully paid-for house here in South Florida designing and writing web-based B2B applications for fortune 50 companies. I live with my wife, and our two sons have graduated from college and living on their own. Kindly tell me how am I an irrelevant Nigerian. By the way, I am a Yoruba man just like you.

We must not blame this on the leadership of the country alone, after all it's from the country's population that these leaders emerge. The leaders we have (we voted) are the true reflection of who we really are.

Chief stop deceiving yourself, we are the cause of our issues and situation. People are hungry and desperate to get out. If things worked in Nigeria even if western media says whatever they want the majority of Nigerians will experience a difference in the country but that is not the case.

Blaming white people is a lay option and part of the reason why Africa will continue to be behind. We blame white people, we blame Chinese, we blame Turkish etc. yet we don't take the step to make our country better. Why are we obsessed and watching western news? Same reason we would rather focus on premier league and ignore our local league etc. and then you come and blame them, no you are creating the opportunity for them to use and abuse you so you are at fault.

How are you making solving the problem by running away, if everybody runs away what becomes of the country? It is finished.
Its easier to run away , than fix the problem.

Lol. You're wrong in this aspect.

There are lots of expats leaving their families and coming to work here and even establish businesses in Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania etc because it favours them very well.

I worked in a law firm that deals with lots of expatriates and I was opportuned to see how their Residence permit, Business permit etc are processed and these are Americans, Brits and Dutch people.

For foreign investors in Nigeria, they enjoy lots of benefits including
1.Tax reliefs.
2. Pioneer status (eg. A company involved in manufacturing pioneer products is exempted from payment of taxes for 3years and may be extended for additional 2years if needed).
3. Tax reliefs on foreign loans.
4. Repatriation of all 100% capital imported without seizure is guaranteed to foreign investors.

Why do you think the Lebanese, Chinese, Pakistans, Americans and a host of others like investing in Nigeria?
You should think twice again. wink
you are well prepared

i was working at a big 4 audit firm in Nigeria. Went to Canada and worked for the same company. Along with many people i know. Currently work in an international bank lol. On a monthly basis i am saving times 3 of the net salary i got in Nigeria. Next year i will qualify for citizenship in Canada. I can still come back to Nigeria to take finance manager or CFO jobs paying over 2m a month. So tell me was i not wise to relocate If Nigeria burns or goes to war lets say i move back. Canada will come rescue me. If i fall ill i wont need gofund me or donations with my Canada passport lol.

My friend what is there to talk about? Hmm?. You just want to be heard that's all. Is it today Nigerians traveling abroad for greener pastures? I ask o. Since even before i was born-over fifty years now- it has been happening. Movement is by choice or as the case may be a part of life fashioned by God himself. Don't paint in our mind that it only happens in Africa or Nigeria alone. Moving around the globe for survival is age-long, even animals do. Are other Nationals not in Africa?
