Why would United refuse a release clause? If Haaland wanted to sleep with the Queen of England as part of his personal terms, we should have given him.

A club that has failed massively from making good money from transfer sales should have welcomed a release clause.

Haaland wanted a release clause? No problem. Set it to £900m. If any club is stupid enough to pay that amount to prise Haaland out of United, it is good news.

When was the last time United sold a player for profit? £89m Pogba walked away free to another club. That’s how bad the decision makers at United have been.
He'd literally be playing for City now if we accepted the clause.

And how the fvck are they going to accept a clause higher than 100m? This is the reason he's not here. You're funny sha.

Are you going to include the clause after he has signed?
Cos I’m thinking how he’ll sign a contract with a ridiculous amount in release clause, perhaps with a gun to his head.
Your emotion is getting the best of you.

Another failure like Ole and ronaldo.
Trevor012:
Only 7 more chances created than Grealish who has played 7 games less. Grealish is a beast unlike the stat padder. Grealish who is the Best player and captain of Aston Villa but you won't see him taking penalities to pad his stats. All I need next season is Grealish or/and Sancho in this team.

The one against LFC was a scruffy chance first of all. It was not like he looked up and delivered a beautiful weighted pass to elanga. I can't even remember today's own. He needs to do better if we're being sincere. Hold the ball better and deliver better passes

The scruffy chance that led to 1 V 1? He stretched to win a 50-50 challenge against Van Dijk, and you here talking about scruffy. Lmao

I know you can't remember the big chance he created today but the mistakes he made in 2020 is still fresh in your memory.

Get used to it, Captain Bruno will start and finish all our games.

eph12:

The point is that if that's how he's hoping to create chances every game, that's a big problem for the team. Strikers won't score all the chances they get. I don't know any striker that did

Was that how he created his 80+ chances last season?

You people don’t understand how release clauses work. I would implore you to go and check the release clauses of all Barca players during that era when they were unbeatable.

Ansu Fati and Pedri(several tiers lower than Haaland) have €1 billion clauses. Messi had €700m clause in his final contract at Barca. Vinicius has €700m clause, Benzema has €1 billion clause.

All what these means is if you can pay the release clauses, the player is yours(no argument). This was how PSG were able to buy Neymar. Neymar’s clause was €220m. PSG called their bluff and they paid and the player became PSG’s property.

I think what he is saying is Haaland would not have signed a contract in which his release clause was that high at the time.

Dortmund played ball and signed him with the release clause at 51M which is what United did not want to do knowing that many clubs will be able to meet that valuation.

Firstly, Man City paid 100m for Grealish but they won't pay for Haaland?

Secondly, you know release clauses are compulsory in Spain, right? That's why they go through the trouble.

Any player that comes to an EPL club with a release clause wants to leave at a certain time. Haaland wanted to come here and leave after 3 years or so. Now tell me why in this world, they'd agree to a release clause of an impossible amount?

You said we should have put in a release clause of 900m. Dortmund agreed to a release clause of 70m. Why the hell will he choose United?

Haaland can’t sign for United and then go to City.

It’s literally impossible.

United would have offered triple the wages Dortmund offer with plenty of commercial deals. He would have become the face of Man Utd with the team built around him.

Last season, City were the ones in the best position to sign Haaland. Probably the only ones that could, given the costs.

So imagine he was at United, with our disaster of a season. He wouldn't have got to City? You're having a laugh.

He wanted a release clause, simple. All these ones are stories you'll tell a kid from Rwanda. Not Haaland with a footballer father and competent agent.

City wouldn’t bid for him if he was at United - that’s the point. This is like expecting Ramos to join Barcelona.

They won’t.

It’s the equivalent of United trying to sign Trent Alexander . City would have gone back to sign Kane or Lewandowski(short term), Aubameyang or an unknown entity from South America.

No top 6 team in the PL would dare to.

United and City is not United and Liverpool. They already had an 100m bid rejected for Kane last year. We're talking of paying a release clause and the player is theirs. You know the truth.

Liverpool can never dream of going for Ronaldo. City did.

FYI, City tried to sign Pogba. Reported by Fabrizio, Laurie Whitwell and any tier one reporter you rate.

It was not about the relationship with Raiola alone. Actually that was secondary. Pogba, Lukaku and Zlatan came here.

He was born to an ex-Leeds and Man City player whose leg was broken by Roy Keane. So we know that he is not getting pressured from home to sign for United.

The most important reason though is why would a player who has the whole world at his feet choose a dysfunctional and poorly managed club like United with poor prospects of trophies when he could go to Man City, Real Madrid, Bayern, PSG e.t.c and score more goals and win more trophies.

If one stops viewing it from a United fan point of view it makes absolutely no sense. It is just tough to see him do it for the noisy neighbours. When the City players understand his style and appreciate that when he is not open he is still open that is when the league will start shedding tears.
