Hello Nairalanders, I need your candid and honest opinion, have been using one corolla so I want to change it to Camry 2008. Have seen one I intend to buy for 2.5m, this is description and image below

My concern is the car have been flashed ones, what does that mean? Can that affect the performance and the durability of the car? Is this a good buy? Though before doing any payment I would take the car to any Toyota specialist workshop for thorough scanning. But before leaving my abode I want to be sure and hear your expert opinions. Thanks

Thanks for ur candid opinion, what is the implication of manual and computerized flashing? Is one okay than the other or I should just abandon it completely?

I4 means 2az. The engine is plagued with oil burn/shorting. The gear 13pin/u250e is very sensitive. After scanning, ask the relevant questions. Is it shorting oil? Has it been ringed? Overheating is not nice on 2az too. Ask if gear has been repaired or replaced? Run if these answers are yes. Check for rust under the car. Check if catalytic converters are intact

Dont do it..too costly for an oil burn old model camry 2008.that amount is good for a 2010/2011 fairly used muscle.dont do it,avoid.

Car body.. flashed once mean car has been repainted,as for d price,u can price it down a bit......

for a 2008 model camry.2.5m is much because it's an early model and na still second hand.price am for 2m.or get es330 2006 model,its more refined than the camry 08,plastic too full the camry.

Every mofocka repainted his tokunbo car. No matter what. Flashing vs over baking different. But overall,if it's neatly flashed,no yawa. An accident cat is very easy to know na,pls and pls buy tokunbo

The flashed means body has been repainted and what do you intend to do with the car, if you intend to use it for commercials like Uber, abort mission...

My candid advice, ask them for when the car was cleared off, if it's below 2020. Don't buy it for that price, you can bargain for 1.8m to 2m.
