Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by NICOSIA: 9:28pm On Aug 29, 2022
No I am not in Cyprus . U don’t have to go to Nigeria for anything. When doing biometrics and medicals you will go to the nearest country that has a center.

Cj9jaland:

I guess you’re based in northern Cyprus, I’m processing my admission too. Did you apply from Cyprus or you had to go to Nigeria for biometric and medicals? Do you mind sharing your contact so we can connect

I don't know if someone already address your question, but here is the answer. Your agent is correct only if the evidence of your marriage is prior or exist at the time of your spouse Student Visa application.

Since your marriage is after your wife got her Visa, here is the way to go-
On her immi account, she would need to update a change in her circumstances (Marriage status from single to married) and provide evidence. I'm not sure about what evidence you would use since what you have done is Traditional marriage (also in absentia).

Once the issue of proof of marriage (marriage certificate, photos, etc) is settled, application for Subsequent entrant (your application ) is breeze
thank you so much. my wife is an online student, will it affect the process in anyway? The agent wanted to confirm before she starts the process

Ought to. At the moment, she can update her marriage status and add your full name as it appears on your Passport. However, you would need to provide acceptable document for proof of marriage when applying for your visa

If you do not have Registry Certificate, another option is to find out if your both families can approach a Customary Court to issue you a document confirming that the marriage was conducted and legit. Make a photocopy of the certificate (go with original too) issued and take this document to either a Notary Public or government parastatal that certify documents. in addition to this, do a change of name in any National paper for your wife (use to be 10K).

if you have all the documents I have mentioned, you will be alright.

As soon as she edit, upload and click the submission button on her immi account after filling the change of circumstances information that is it. Home Affairs will receive the infor immediately.
You can check the duration of the outcome of Subsequent entrant Visa on Home Affairs website. However, based on experience, patience is a skill you and your wife would need to master- surely you will get your visa grant if you submit the right/verifiable documents and meets the visa requirement. Best of luck.

NOTE: Muslims can use the marriage certificate issued to them by their Imam (Registry is not the only acceptable document)

Add a change of name publication too

thank you so much. my wife is an online student, will it affect the process in anyway? The agent wanted to confirm before she starts the process

Hello house, how true is it that a person above 35 years of age can not secure admission in any Australian universities?

Do they require yellow card for medicals? Is yellow card compulsory?

Congratulations to those who got their visa grant and good luck to those still expecting a grant.

This information is crucial to those coming to Australia.

1. Make sure that you perfect your driving skill before coming.
2. Come with a Police Check /clearance

3. If your school didnt request an English test, please make sure that you take this exam so that you can change to a cheaper school much later. 90% of schools would require a proof of English test ( IELTS/PTE)

4. Finally, with prior experience, I can help you obtain a certificate Iv in Disability, a Diploma of Community service, Certificate IV in Child, Youth and family intervention And other qualifications. that will enable you to work as a support worker. We partner with Registered Traning providers that will get you qualified ASAP. NO classes, no exams, no lectures and cheaper.

Once again, good luck
please what's the cost of the certificates

Fallacy. Go ahead and secure the admission. So far, you meet all the requirements.

Hope it is not the jahrule that I know?

Nursing has age restriction for International students. If you going for Nursing you might want to check on the school website

Hello everyone,
Please I need advice

I have BSc in Agriculture and graduated about 12 years ago. I've worked for some years in our family farm and presently I'm working with a pharmaceutical company.

So I'm thinking of applying to switch my course to study BSc Nursing in Australia. I've emailed some unis in Victoria and was told they can give me admission despite not being a fresh graduate.

One of the schools I emailed suggested I apply through their agents in Nigeria but after speaking to their agents I'm totally confused as they claim it's not possible to apply to study since I don't have experience in nursing, gap between my previous study is wide and age isn't on my side as I'm in my mid-thirties.
She later suggested management course, business or they can try msc Agriculture but can't assure me of 100%.

I know for a fact masters in management or business isn't a good pathway.

Please What do you recommend I do ?

Ethiopian Air offers Nigeria- Ethiopia - Bangkok -Australia. This offers a shorter transit time and good offerings. Though it is more expensive when compared to the Turkish Airline Nigeria - Istanbul - Bangkok/Malaysia - Australia route.

I am currently in Australia as a Citizen through study pathway. Getting admission into Nursing in Australia may be challenging as they prefer onshore candidates. What I have seen people do is to get to Australia through the easiest possible admission and then switch. However, you may lose some of the tuition paid especially if you are switching to another school. It's recommended that you apply for a course on the occupation list in case you find it impossible to switch, say the Agriculture.

Thanks for your response.

Please if I may ask, if I applied for msc Agriculture will it be easy considering it's been 12yrs I graduated from the uni cause the agents I spoke to were telling me that the gap is really wide so they're skeptical.

Also, if I'm able to get admission for msc Agriculture, will it be possible to switch to nursing bsc later on

Good day house
I got a ticket from Lagos to Sydney with (Qatar airways), however I have a stop over of 2hours in jarkata and my onward flight is through another airline, Indonesian airlines.
Heard I’ll need a transit visa if I’ll have my baggage rechecked by immigration before proceeding for the next flight
Is there a way I won’t need a transit visa if I only travel with my hand luggage and not pass through immigration

Hello Chief…Please how long does the GTE stage for WSU take? I’ve been on it for 3 weeks.
Ericmanny:

It’s an AL1 school. Get all the documents requested on your conditional offer ready so as satisfy their GTE. Endeavour to write your SOP by yourself and word your SOP properly. Make it as real as possible
What you need to know is more documents, especially financial declarations will be required and proof of all finances(incomes) must be readily available. If your sponspor isn’t your parent, you would have to prove relationship. Check my timeline to see documents I submitted. However, every GTE is peculiar to applicants
I’m in Sydney already and to hopefuls coming in, winter is here already. Bring puff jackets!
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by jbl007(m): 2:06pm On Sep 01, 2022
Hi…Good afternoon.
Please are you done with your GTE now? I just want to know how long it took to get your unconditional offer. I’ve submitted all GTE documents but haven’t gotten a response for 3weeks now. Cheers!
EllenDgoodGirl:

I got admission at WSU, I’m working on the GTE assessment currently.

Please, Is there anything I need to know, to avoid back and forth.

Also, I saw where you mentioned you didn’t submit SOA for visa. Is the school an AL1?

Good Morning Everyone.

Please did anyone here apply to and get into University of Adelaide?
Please which Nigerian agent did you use?
I'd like to know if they charged any fees too.

Any information on the school will be appreciated as well.

Cheers grin
