Amandacanny:Maybe negotiate to put in a clause that allows you to do a lease transfer on favourable terms. In this hot rental market, you'll never be in short supply of someone willing to take over your lease if you decide to up and leave. Other than that, you should be fine. No need to be scared of tall buildings. 6 Likes |

jjohndoe83:social media and nollywood has really deceived many lol. Ome major reason some go for those white babes in other countries is to get papers. In Canada where paper is not an issue for most Nigerian migrants. Nigerian or African ladies are the first choice, despite all the bashing and back and forth we see online 14 Likes |

Aimajoyce:What exactly is part 3 necessary for? Has this thread suddenly run out of space that it can’t go on anymore? I’m still clueless why your guys do this, opening multiple parts to these threads and not allow it go on for as long as possible. Have things changed so much for landed immigrants that there’s suddenly a need for part 3? I’m yet to get a sane explanation. Nairaland has multiple threads that have run into hundreds and even thousands of pages without the need to open a new “part”. Several threads in Movies, Sports, etc are in thousands of pages without stop, but only here do you see people twitching about opening a new thread so they can be the first to post. 1 Like |

Since joo2018 is no longer visiting this thread i think current and frequent members here should nominate someone to start a new part. The person must be a frequent contributor here and with an account older than 6months. Thank you. 1 Like 1 Share |

I and at least 5 people I know have adopted kids with one or both parents alive in the course of this journey. We all have our PR, with the exception of one person awaiting approval. I personally adopted two kids and their parents are alive and well. I have FULL custody. The OP can go ahead to legally adopt the child. Avoid Lagos sha. E get why. Use other states with less traffic. SlowlybtSurely: 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Chenkes: Thank you for this! I'm glad this is doable. A judge in Lagos refused to grant my friend full custody and quoted that the child's parents were still alive, so I just thought that was the law. |

DrFareedah: Good new is that they are not here yet and that before they come your husband would have had some cultural reorientation that will help create the needed balance. Also, if they get to come over, they may not be in same province or city as you and its good to know that nobody can maltreat you here, there is law and order so rest your mind and not be overly anxious. Finally, I advise that you start praying or keep praying (as the case may be) for your husband and take this time to build a stronger bond with him and the children so that he will not want to loose to interference from anyone. Wishing you all the very best! 5 Likes |
