For the lifetime ISA where I get £1k per annum if I save the max of £4k per annum in the account. For the second year, am I to put in another £4k to get the second year's £1k or the first year's £4k will give me the second year's £1k? I.e year 1: I put £4k, get £1k. Total = £5k. Year 2: I put in another £4k, get 1k. Total = £10k Or Year 1: I put in £4k, get £1k. Total = £5k. Year 2: do nothing, get £1k at the end. Total = £6k? |

Poanan: You might need to work a bit more on your offline networking. Referrals from random beings on the internet who do not know you in real life, irrespective of the website/platform, mightn't be easy to come by. 4 Likes |

Consulting is wide. Even within mgt consulting, it's still wide. You may have to give pointers. More so, comes at different levels: entry, associate, consultant, Snr consultant/supervisor, asst mgr / principal consultant, mgr, ... ... Yet, there're vertical sectors! In any case you may want to leverage LinkedIn. Poanan: |

semmyk:It’s so interesting that I recently found out that these companies pay their staff a referral bonus if a candidate gets hired. So If they are confident in your profile, they would actually refer you even if you are a stranger. The wonders of social networking. 4 Likes |

That's correct. Referral bonus has been the norm; especially the (not so anymore) Big 4 acctg/audit firms, the likes of your mgt consulting firms, some multinationals, some banks and few others. At times, the (referral bonus) tap is closed! At times, payout is when the recruited spend 3 or 6 mths or 1yr. At times, it upfront on appointed (aka onboarding). I've worked briefly with a big 4 some years back, hence I know first hand. Nonetheless, staff are warned not to refer 'just random fella'. Whether that is followed, is another discuss!!! Poanan: if you have a friend or know anyone working with any of the big four (pwc especially), speak to them. They can refer you. I can but it's difficult dropping personal contacts on a public forum like this. |

semmyk: Quite a few companies condition their referral bonuses on the new hire lasting a specific period, most often the standard 6 month probationary period. |

kode12: In addition to what has been said already, giving birth in Nigeria is already a case of natural selection. Nigeria has one of the highest birth mortality rates in the entire world. Most of the kids that are likely to develop a form of disability rarely even make it out of the womb alive to start with. Then you have the culture of shame that makes people hide away these kinds of kids. Merge these two factors together and you end up in a situation like this, with a false sense of “healthier” kids. |

Strata1716:you have to pay. Cheapest option is the Al maha lounge which is 45 pounds before trip day and allows maximum 6 hours stay. You’ll need a dom card to do this. If you are using a 3rd party’s card then u might need to send their id and statement for cc verification. |
