Kia cerato is supposed to be same with hyundai Elantra but for some reasons, it isn't as common as Elantra though the 04 to 08 had a brain box defect issue. I would advice you stick with hyundai Elantra instead

Get the Elantra. Also keep your eye on the 2014 upwards Mazda3 and Mazda6, if you can find them "clean" obviously.

Volvo XC90 (Volvo's safety, and generally just a well built car. Requires a certified Volvo mech if things break)

Acura MDX (Honda reliability plus relatively common on Nigerian roads)

Mazda CX-9 (good looks plus great driving dynamics. Enthusiasts love Mazda)

Lexus RX350 (It's a Toyota )

You should be a able to nab a bit recent models with your budget i reckon.

No, the new kia forte started from 2012 so it doesn't have the brainbox defect, it's a bit common among bankers just be weary of the engines they are a bit expensive

It's more modern than the other two you listed. Of course, a muscle Camry (2007 upwards I think) would be better car though.

Look at the Honda Accord too. Honda reliability, better driving experience, plus a better looking car in all aspect! (Yes, the balljoint issues are well overstated if you pay good attention to the sound your car makes plus periodic maintainance)

Your C350 was a 2009, right? In that case, it doesn't use the same engine as the 2012+ ML350. M272 vs M276.

Surprising to learn that a W204 gave you issues; they're generally solid cars.

QX70 is a great car. I have an '11 FX35, which is essentially the same car and it's been solid so far. Owned a G35 for two years as well with the same mechanical bits and it was fine. It's not the smoothest of engines, though, and has bad fuel economy. Worth considering. My V8 E550 has better fuel economy than the Infiniti V6, for example.

Experts here, what's your review on mazda 6 1.8L 2007 model. Is this car durable?
Is it a good buy for a first timer?
