Landing Gist. LANDING GIST LAGOS - FRANKFURT - Toronto - Windsor Airline - Lufthansa / Air Canada Date - August 29th 2022. Time - 11pm. I arrived Lagos airport around 5PM. Went to join queue to weigh baggage, got to my turn and my bags were overweight. Lagos airport was extremely hot. Thank God I came with extra bag. So I had to rearrange cause they were items I couldn't leave behind. Lufthansa charges 80k to upgrade to 32KG but I decided to pay 132k for extra 23KG bag. This is because initially I had tried to find a way to cargo the items but I think the price I got was at 5k/KG so I kuku left it. Joined queue again to reweigh again and this time I begged the lady and she allowed me sta there and counter balance( Lufthansa has a rule, you weigh, go and rebalance and join queue.) I couldn't join queue for a third time so I begged her. Done with weighing then I paid those guys to wrap my bag. Cost 1k/ bag. Proceeded to get my boarding pass.Thereafter I went outside the airport to spend some time with family and friends cause they were strict. Only my mum and sister were able to get in. Went back inside around 9PM and they had already started boarding. Boarded and flight left Naija For Frankfurt around 11:10. Food was good. Pasta and salad. They also shared fruit salad later on. Arrived Frankfurt at 6:20. FrankFurt Time. Had a layover of 3 hours. Frankfurt airport is beautiful. Next Air Canada delayed our flight for an hour. Boarded around 11:15 AM. And another long journey started to Toronto. Aircanada had movies. Food served mashed potatoes and chicken. They had pasta as well. Later on they also shared chicken pie. And also shared headphones to all passengers. We arrived Toronto At 1:18PM toronto time. Those with connecting flights were given priority while getting off the airplane. Got off and went to immigration. We were told to sit then a lady took us in 60s to another place where you do self declaration. Only our letters of introduction were collected. And they started giving us permit. Rushed to my gate for the next flight to windsor. That one was delayed too for another 1 hour. But we sha moved. Arrived Windsor went to baggage claim to get my bags. My bags weren't checked at all. Still wrapped the way they were from Lagos. Well that's just about it. Wishing everyone success in their journeys and applications. God be with everyone. 44 Likes 1 Share

My people I need help ooo Is there any colleges at Nova Scotia that studies Human Resources management, cheaper |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Chocs(f): 9:38pm On Sep 01, 2022 |
A PGD after an HND shows an academic progression. Have you been working in the hospitality field? What is the motivation for the switch from food tech to hospitality? You’ll have to explain that in a convincing way to the visa officer through your statement of purpose to get approved. Cheers subzheero: |

ebaymaestroo: Guest911:Hi Guest911, Your state of affairs isn't so clear. Hence, I will need an additional elucidation to respond accurately. Here are my questions: i. What's the length of your proposed program? ii. If you should sideline your domiciliary account against the picture, as implied, can the available fund in your corporate account cater for your overall study assignment in Canada? iii. Can your current liquid asset fund your entire stay in Canada? Please note that a company with no jurisdiction in your home country cannot be used as a tie in this context. Nevertheless, your answers to the above questions would determine my advice. Can't wait to eventually celebrate with you! 4 Likes |

If you can explain the switch in a convincing manner, go ahead. Otherwise, I’ll advice you to stick to a program related to your work experience- confectionery, baking, and catering. Cheers subzheero: |

In my opinion, Nova Scotia is good for families but that depends on exactly what you’re looking for in a place. Cheers GloriaBekee: |

In addition to what others have said, you don’t need to pay yourself any salary. Your business registration documents and business bank statement showing you as the sole signatory to the account is enough proof that you have something doing and the money is available to you for use. If I understand correctly, you are no longer with the company you worked for abroad. To apply for your visa, you need recent pay stubs. If you don’t have that because you’re self employed then you should show the documents I mentioned above. You can include past pay stubs and employment letters in your ‘client documents’ just to show you’ve been doing well in your career and show the source of the money in your savings account. Yes, you’re right the abroad company can’t help in home-ties situation. I would only use it to explain the funds in the DOM account. The length of the Study program is 1 year. I don't have money in the corporate bank account I just opened it in early August and have just been using my regular savings account with about N2M balance. My DOM account can fund my entire stay in Canada, I have already paid for the first semester. There's money for the second semester and living expenses. Gigdraft: |

Chocs:Yes, I'm no longer with the abroad company since 2021. For example this month I got payment for a freelance project I did around 650k, and I've had similar payments like 300k, 200k, etc to my saving account. Even though I registered my company in Feb 2021, I opened a corporate account only because I found out that it might be useful for this Canada travel. My concern is for the home-ties because I don't have proof of activities in my corporate because it's still new. And I'm not a salaried worker. Do you advise I take the long option of paying myself for 4 months and then apply? Or just apply with receipts of those freelance jobs to my savings account? Any advice or suggestions thank you |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Chocs(f): 12:46am On Sep 02, 2022 |
I don’t see the huge difference paying yourself would make. Showing receipts of your freelance job and and some samples of your job or even a portfolio if you have one with a clear explanation in your SOP should do. You can use your savings account. One job you’ll need to do is to show that your business is successful and well established. I’ll also advice you to have the full tuition and amount for living expenses for the total duration of your program. Plus you’ll have to explain clearly how the program will help enhance your business on your return. Cheers Guest911: |
