In respect of the above subject matter, my uncle wants to do an IPO next year for his company

Any useful information as to how to go about it will be appreciated.

The first thing to know is that the company must have been in business for at least 3 years and must have audited financial statements for that period.

He would also need financial projections of the company for at least 36months.

He would need to appoint the following in a team:

Reporting accountants

Solicitors to the issue

Auditors to the issue

An issuing house eg FBN Capital etc

His company also needs to apply to SEC to seek approval

Note that before the company can get approval for this all it's taxes must be up to date, approvals and licences must also be up to date

They also need to prepare a brief profile of the company and it's principal officers

The company would also be required to state how much money they hope to raise from the IPO and what they intend to do with the money raised, all these must be stated in the prospectus for the IPO

This is just a brief summary of the process
